Lingering Doting Marriage: Big Boss, Little Sweet Heart

Chapter 1919 - 1929: I Haven’t Been Mad for a Long Time

Chapter 1919: Chapter 1929: I Haven’t Been Mad for a Long Time

"Really?" Enna Clark tugged at the hem of her shirt, still feeling that wearing a "YES, I do" on her body was too strange. She glanced at her reflection in the mirror; nothing seemed particularly special.

Her hairstyle and pants today were rather youthful, and she only swapped her shirt for a white T-shirt, essentially keeping a simple look.

Of course, it would be better if it weren’t for the obvious English letters and cartoon characters on it.

"It suits you," the tall man walked up behind her at this moment, speaking firmly.

Enna looked at the English on her shirt through the mirror and then at the English on his shirt, growing more frustrated.

But Baron Lawrence was quite pleased, his cheerful mood evident in his eyes and brows, as he turned to ask the boss lady, "How much is it?"

"Since you two handsome and beautiful people often take care of my business, I’ll give you both pieces for 30 dollars in total." In reality, she usually sold such T-shirts for 3 dollars each.

Having sold clothes for so long, she could judge people well; this man was clearly not short of money. Plus, he was with his girlfriend. If she didn’t take this opportunity, when could she?

Enna hadn’t come out to shop for clothes in a long time, but she still knew the basic market price. These two pieces surely weren’t worth 30 dollars.

She wasn’t short of money now, but she also didn’t like wasting it.

She was just about to haggle.

The person next to her, quick as lightning, had already pulled out the money and handed it to the boss lady, "Take it!"

The boss lady didn’t expect him to be so straightforward. While pondering if she had quoted too low a price, she was also delighted that he didn’t even haggle, happily taking the money. She quickly said, "Thank you, Handsome Guy. I’ll go get a bag to pack your clothes for you. By the way, Handsome and Beautiful, can I pack your clothes together in one bag?"

"Sure." Enna gave a quick glance at the person who handed over the money so readily and sighed.

Since the money was already given, she couldn’t very well take it back.

If she wanted it back, the boss lady wouldn’t return it either.

The boss lady deftly packed the clothes for the two of them and chose to hand it to Baron Lawrence, teasingly saying, "The clothes are entrusted to the Handsome Guy now; serving the beautiful woman."

Baron Lawrence took the bag and cheerfully said to Enna, "Let’s go."

Enna really didn’t want to step out of the store, but with the person beside her watching menacingly, she had to leave whether she wanted to or not.

She reluctantly moved her legs and exited the shop.

This was a street in the college town, and most of those who came here shopping were college students from nearby. The street’s end connected to the City Center.

They initially walked side by side, but as they walked further, Enna felt her hand being held.

She glanced to the side, only to see the elegant profile of the tall man, looking straight ahead as if he hadn’t done anything.

She silently withdrew her gaze, tacitly accepting his actions; she didn’t struggle or ask him to let go.

She wasn’t really angry anymore. The last time she reminded him they were still arguing was just to make him fully understand his mistake.

Judging by Baron Lawrence’s recent behavior, he really was changing.

At least his temper had improved a lot.

Whether it was the last time Lyle Westbrook came to her house looking for her or after bringing Bobby to Linton City, it was clear he was controlling his temper.

Sometimes his true character might still show, but it was overall better than before.
