Chapter 1940: Chapter 1950: Enna Clark Needs to Go to the Company
The morning sunlight streamed in through the window, and the person on the large bed hadn’t opened their eyes yet, reaching out with satisfaction to touch beside them.
They didn’t feel the expected touch.
He suddenly opened his eyes, his dark eyes more dazzling than the sun outside.
Baron Lawrence’s breathing deepened slightly as he sat up.
Dammit, where is everyone? Where’s Enna Clark?
He draped on the robe beside him, got out of bed, opened the door, and walked out.
In the living room outside, Bobby was already playing with Scott Harris.
His gaze searched around before finally finding the person who had disappeared early in the morning in the kitchen.
Enna Clark came out carrying soy milk, looking refreshed after a good night’s sleep, she greeted him, "Morning, Baron Lawrence, you’re awake? Mr. Harris went out to buy breakfast, come over and have some."
As she spoke, she brushed past him, placing the soy milk on the dining table. Then she went back to gather the plated fried dough sticks and porridge, calling out to the young boy who’d been up early watching TV, "Bobby, come and eat breakfast!"
"Oh." The person on the sofa reluctantly turned off the TV and walked towards the kitchen.
As he passed Baron Lawrence, he muttered softly, "How old are you, still lying in bed, shame on you."
His muttering was very quiet, but Baron Lawrence still heard it with his keen ears, and his eagle eyes glanced at him, making the mutterer shut his mouth immediately and walk inside.
"Lord," Scott Harris pulled out a chair for him.
Baron Lawrence walked to the dining table, sat down, and asked seemingly casually, "How long has Enna Clark been up?"
Scott Harris didn’t quite understand, but answered honestly, "Ms. Clark has been up for over an hour."
Over an hour, huh...
Baron Lawrence’s eagle eyes darkened, picking up a piece of fried dough stick and biting into it fiercely!
Looks like he shouldn’t have let her off so easily last night, he needs to work harder!
Enna Clark still didn’t know what he was thinking; if she did, she’d definitely regret getting up so early. She brought out some jam and bread, only then pulling out a chair to sit down, saying, "Mr. Harris, if you don’t like eating fried dough sticks, you can have this instead."
Scott Harris grew up in Country W and might be more accustomed to having bread and jam for breakfast.
But she and Bobby liked soy milk and fried dough sticks, she hadn’t had them in a long time, so she asked Scott Harris to buy some.
Enna Clark looked up, seeing the man sitting across from her had already picked up a fried dough stick and started eating, she swallowed the words that were on the tip of her tongue.
Forget it.
Since Baron Lawrence was eating them, it meant he did actually like soy milk and fried dough sticks, she wouldn’t ask him to eat bread, in case he started overthinking again.
Enna Clark initially was trying to prevent him from overthinking, which was why she didn’t call him, but in Baron Lawrence’s eyes, it turned into her only caring about what Scott Harris was eating, completely ignoring his presence!
Dammit!
He bit into the fried dough stick even harder, as if what he was eating wasn’t the fried dough stick, but angrily eating Enna Clark instead.
Throughout breakfast, he wore a gloomy face, emanating silence and low pressure.
Enna Clark couldn’t figure out why he was in a sulk so early in the morning, thinking it was just morning grumpiness, she decisively ignored him and went to supervise Bobby drinking milk.
By the time breakfast was over, it was almost ten in the morning.
Scott Harris insisted on clearing up the tableware, Enna Clark didn’t argue with him, went to change her clothes, and came out, saying, "Bobby, you’ll spend some time playing with your dad later."
