Chapter 2376: Chapter 2385: Snatched the Necklace Without Hesitation
"Hey, Baron Lawrence..." Enna Clark reached out to grab it but missed, feeling frustrated as she stretched her hand, "Give it back to me."
He had already tossed the diamond necklace into his pocket as if it were crumpled pickles, avoiding Enna’s reaching hand, and boldly said, "Since you’re going to return it anyway, I’ll do it for you just the same!"
As he dodged Enna’s hand, he grabbed her wrist, his eyes suddenly darkening and his Adam’s apple moving, "Are you saying you don’t plan to return it?"
Enna rolled her eyes, extending her hand towards him, "Of course I want to return it, but I can do it myself, I don’t need your help. Baron, give it back to me."
Why should he be the one to return it?
Every time he runs into Lyle Westbrook, it’s like a comet colliding with Earth, and he can hardly resist getting into a fight.
Everything was going well, and she didn’t want him to make it awkward.
The domineering man sidestepped and avoided her hand, grabbing both of hers and refusing to budge, "There’s no way I’m letting you meet him alone again. Forget about getting it back! At most, I’ll return it for you, otherwise, I’ll throw it into the trash and have Scott Harris throw it out! Your choice."
She considered throwing him into the trash and having the housekeeper throw him out!
Enna was frustrated but didn’t actually say it; if she did, there’s no doubt that the diamond necklace would be gone for sure. But admitting it left her annoyed, "And weren’t you meeting Miranda Lewis alone? You even went to a hotel. I haven’t even met with Lyle Westbrook alone; Bobby was there too!"
"I’m not close with that woman!"
"And I’m supposedly close with Lyle Westbrook? Are you kidding?"
It turns out Baron Lawrence is truly unreasonable when he’s unreasonable. He lifted his chin, his rose-colored thin lips meeting, "I don’t care, but Lyle Westbrook is off limits."
Enna really wanted to dunk him into the toilet, "And Miranda is okay, then?"
"Enna Clark, don’t be unreasonable. My dealings with that woman and your situation with Lyle Westbrook are completely different!" He even furrowed his brows as he said this, stern eyes staring.
Enna genuinely felt like slapping him, who was the unreasonable one here?
"I think it’s all the same, not different at all."
Did she care so much about the diamond necklace Lyle Westbrook gave her? Baron Lawrence’s breathing deepened, his eyes darkening with intensity, "I won’t give the necklace back to you, no matter what you say. If you want, I’ll take you to buy one tomorrow, any style you want."
One from Lyle Westbrook is absolutely out of the question!
"That’s not what I mean, I want to return it myself..."
"I won’t give it back to you!" He stubbornly cut her off again, gritting his teeth to reiterate, "Don’t even think about it!"
"Baron Lawrence, do you have any sense of reason?"
He let go of her hand, calmly stood up, and said, "Say whatever you want, as long as you don’t want the necklace, say what you like."
"You’re such a pighead!"
The noble man abruptly turned back, his teeth clenching tightly, looking like he wanted to bite her, but he held back for a long moment before blurting out, "Say whatever you want, but I’m not giving it back to you. Enna Clark, stop dreaming."
"...."
Even after calling him a pighead, he didn’t retaliate and managed to hold his temper... Enna no longer held out hope for the necklace. In her mind, she figured she might as well text Lyle Westbrook later saying she lost the necklace to prevent him from genuinely returning it.
