Re-Awakening: I Became a Pay To Win Boss Monster

Chapter 629 - Capítulo 629: End of The Date

Capítulo 629: End of The Date

After the firing range, Rael and the others went to the theater, and then got some more food afterward.

It was a pretty fun date.

He was sure Lilith was happy.

Vatyra… Maybe?

As for Rael, it was so-so.

He felt like Vatyra and Lilith bonded more than him.

It was more like a girl’s night out, and he was just that friend who accompanied them.

Even so, after they were done, Vatyra took them all back to the Lightea World.

He expected that Vatyra would stick around for a little while longer, but instead, she ran straight into the mansion to check up on Uriel and Anastasia.

Now, only Lilith and him were left alone.

Except it seemed like she also had somewhere to be.

“Today was nice,” she said. “Though, I wish next time we could go on a date with just the two of us.”

Rael smiled.

“Sure. I had planned on it as well, but I just wanted Vatyra to have an experience as well.”

“I noticed.” She nodded. “Vatyra was a little awkward, but it does seem like despite her age, she is still a woman.”

He wasn’t going to comment on that, since he had a feeling Vatyra was listening.

Instead, he smiled once again at Lilith, and after a few pleasantries, they went their separate ways.

Oh…

But not before Rael did something he had been meaning to do.

As he stared at Lilith’s parting figure, he quickly reached into the Premium Shop and bought a fancy laptop.

He made sure it was connected to some kind of global internet, and not only that, he made sure it had an unlimited battery.

Of course, the laptop also had access to every streaming platform that existed.

Rael whistled, getting Lilith’s attention.

When she turned around, he was already gone.

However, he left behind the laptop where he had stood.

Lilith approached it, and after inspecting it a little, she opened it up and began browsing through it.

He was worried that he would need to show her how everything worked, but thankfully, she was not that old.

But with everything done here, Rael didn’t linger around further, and he left the blue star.

He headed down straight to Celestara, and after making a few turns in the streets, he arrived in front of a back alley.

This was the base of operations for Synthex.

An organization Rael and Zareth’Null had founded.

He was genuinely curious how Zareth was faring, and while he could send a message and just ask, he decided on checking it out firsthand.

So when he entered the base and passed through a few checkpoints, he eventually arrived at a basement.

To Rael’s genuine surprise, it was completely empty except for a single chair that was in the center of the room.

And when he approached that chair, he spotted a presence in the corner of his vision.

Turning toward it, he saw a man wearing a mask.

He leaned against the wall, and he seemed slightly exhausted.

Still, Rael could recognize this man anywhere.

“Zareth. It’s been a while.”

Zareth let out a hollow chuckle.

“It has been a few months. I had expected you to visit me after what happened here, but I guess we aren’t that close, are we?”

“Did you retain your memory of me?” Rael asked, amused.

“I had set precautions beforehand,” Zareth replied. “I had lost my memory only temporarily.”

He smiled at Rael.

“Your disappearance created a paradox that allowed a great many opportunities for me to take advantage of. For instance, there was a messenger who was targeting you. I managed to figure out his identity.”

Right…

There was someone like that.

Rael had forgotten about that person since he moved on from the matters of this world.

And while it didn’t even interest him that much even now, Rael couldn’t help but wonder just who it was that targeted him and Zafira.

Seeing his curiosity, Zareth obliged.

“It was someone from the Demonic Realm. It was a messenger of chaos, or whatever they call themselves. Their main goal is to stir chaos amongst important people. You and Queen Zafira were deemed important, and thus you had a few insects crawling after you.”

“The Demonic Realm, huh?” Rael rubbed his chin.

When he caused a bunch of chaos in the Silver City, the demon he had summoned said that the Demonic Realm sent their regards.

Rael could assume that the demons remembered him as well, or at least they knew a bit about him to mock him like that.

But maybe it wasn’t a mockery.

Maybe the demons wanted to establish some sort of connection between them and him.

Odds were… the connection had something to do with his marriage with Lilith.

After all, Lilith was the daughter of the Demon King.

Although the Demon King had abandoned her, her status didn’t change at all.

Still…

Maybe he should pay the Demonic Realm a visit.

He had been planning on going to the Dragon Realm and then the Demonic Realm either way.

Going to the Demonic Realm first didn’t seem like that bad of an idea.

But if he was going there, then he should probably ask if Lilith wanted to tag along.

Still…

“Did you capture that messenger?” Rael asked.

“Indeed.” Zareth nodded. “However, seeing how you hadn’t appeared in months, we had no choice but to eventually put the demon down. We didn’t want to risk the Demonic Realm snooping around, because without your protection, this entire continent would be wiped off the map fairly quickly.”

Rael raised a brow. “And killing him doesn’t alert the Demonic Realm?”

“This wasn’t the only world the messenger had invaded. They can’t track his death to us. That gives us a degree of freedom which is most needed in these trying times,” Zareth replied and sat down on the lone chair in front of Rael. ᴛʜɪs ᴄʜᴀᴘᴛᴇʀ ɪs ᴜᴘᴅᴀᴛᴇ ʙʏ noᴠelfire.net

“Now… If I were to guess, you are planning to go to the Demonic Realm next, correct? Allow me to give you an introduction to their culture first.”
