Aegon wasn't surprised to hear that. Raphael's ability to interrupt someone's spell casting certainly was annoying. Not to mention his Sunburn Marks, which dealt damage every ten seconds and also worked as stacking attacks.
As long as he attacked those with Sunburn Marks, they would receive higher damage. He could transfer this effect to all his teammates, which made their cooperation even more dangerous.
Still, he asked, "What happened?"
[The Ash Domain has taken the Hydra.]
"Ah! That happened!"
[Elara: Yes, the prince interrupted my release time at the last moment, which let their Jungler take the kill. The Tank was also annoying me while Xav kept the Marksman busy.]
"What was our Jungler doing?" Aegon asked as he used both of his hands to carve runes.
[Rosa: I knew the prince would pull something like that, so I was waiting. Guess what? I killed both the prince and their Jungler.]
[Elara: Their Tank also died.]
[Xavier: She escaped… and I died.]
[Cali: Failure!]
[Xavier: You're not my mom.]
[Cali: If I ever have a kid like you, I'll drop them in Moon River.]
As always, Aegon stayed silent during their bickering and only spoke when they were done. "So, El basically fought three of them and survived?"
[Elara: That actually makes me feel better.]
[Rosa: Future Hubby! I also worked hard, you know.]
"Good girl!" Aegon smiled as he patted the turret after finishing his work.
[Rosa: Tehehe! Call me that once more.]
"Kill the prince once more," Aegon said, shifting his attention to the Gold Lane.
[Rosa: On it!]
Even without Aegon's involvement, the battle between the Ash Domain and the Snow Domain remained in a stalemate, occasionally leaning toward the Ash Domain's advantage.
Cali was too focused on her battles, so she couldn't help the others. But it also meant that she kept the enemy Fighter busy, which became a big relief to everyone else.
After all, only Cali and Elara could deal with the Fighter, and even then, Elara needed support. Without it, she doubted she could take him on alone.
But once he was taken care of by Cali, Elara could focus on the others properly. The Ash Domain's Marksman was skillful and certainly deserved to be in the finals.
Sadly, her opponent was the Elf Princess herself. Someone who not only enjoyed resources from the Elf race, but also received guidance from Aegon over the years. And to top it off, she worked extra hard.
But this was where Aegon's team's advantage ended. While Xavier was a good healer support and could even use Nerve Arrow to help, he wasn't on the enemy Tank's level.
Their Tank could take multiple attacks and even attract all aggression toward himself, which annoyed Elara quite a bit. He kept his team safe many times from her barrages.
Their Jungler was also terrifying. She could turn herself invisible and deal high damage, then escape using the same trick. Only Elara could somewhat track her in her invisible state.
Fortunately, Rosa could perform her role quite well, as she farmed a lot and only attacked those with low HP bars. If she saw someone with a full HP bar coming toward her, she would use lightning to escape.
She didn't even feel shame doing that.
The real problem started when the prince got involved. He could not only cast a variety of Light-element-based spells, but also reduce the damage his allies received. He could command them well in team fights and use his abilities to affect the flow of those battles.
In a way, he was a control Mage.
This was why, even though Aegon's team was doing well and dealing a lot of damage, the match still leaned toward the Ash Domain's victory.
The more the match progressed, the more Raphael felt the unease growing inside him. All because Aegon hadn't participated in a single battle. He kept doing something to the turrets and then escaping backward.
Thinking that Aegon was modifying the turrets for something, Raphael focused on destroying them.
Aegon's team tried to defend, but a full-on assault by all five of them proved tough to deal with. Of course, that didn't mean it was easy to take them down.
Even in a five-versus-four with such a disadvantage, Aegon's team performed well and killed their enemies many times, even if the end result was their own deaths and the turrets getting destroyed.
Raphael did notice how there was basically no clear strategy on Aegon's side, and everyone fought as if this were their last battle. They didn't even care about dying, even if it meant staying at the base for a long time.
Along with Aegon's strange actions, he was convinced they were planning something. But what was it?
He couldn't guess, so he tried to finish the game quickly. He used his team's superior strength and coordination to force his way toward the Snow Domain's base.
After many hard-fought battles, all nine turrets of the Snow Domain finally fell, while six of the Ash Domain's turrets were destroyed.
As Raphael retreated after Elara slaughtered both his Tank and Jungler, he noticed Aegon sitting above the base, his hands weaving something in empty air.
'Has he been making a Rune Formation all this time? Then where is his Kalam?' he thought in confusion.
All RuneMasters needed their Kalam, especially to work in such harsh situations. But he hadn't seen anything like that on Aegon.
'And it's only been a year. How much has he progressed, and which Rune Formation is he making?'
If it were anyone else, Raphael wouldn't have taken it seriously. But this was Aegon, one of the greatest prodigies in the history of this continent. Anything was possible.
'Whatever it is, I need to end this game before he completes it,' Raphael thought, unwilling to take any risks. "Destroy the minions and be ready to storm their base. We are winning this!"
Meanwhile, Elara returned to the base and gave a side glance at Rosa and Xavier, who were trapped in the barrier. She frowned slightly and said, "They won't resurrect in time."
"Are they finally attacking at full power?" Cali asked, stretching her limbs. Then she grinned and said, "Then it's even better. Little Gon is also almost done."
Elara looked up and smiled. "You're right. Let's win this."
