Daily Life of The Original Demon

Chapter 41 ● Aggressor ]

"You whoring bitches...!

I was so kind and even gave you enough time, yet you still dare choose to stand against Me...!"

Aynz o'roth growled. His gaze utterly cold. Evidently, he did not appreciate and was in fact offended by the fact that his kindness was rejected.

"Now, don't blame me for being ruthless...!" He declared. His voice a silent rumble.

His right hand glowed a dark shade.

The Demonic Energy in the surroundings meters rippled, slithering towards his hand like heavy tidal waves. The energy morphed, contorted and formed. Everything happened within but a mere second.

The instant Aynz thought, there appeared an infernal spear of raging flames in his hand. The bluish-black flames were hot and dense, crackling with devastation.

The moment, the materialisation was completed and the 3 meters long elemental spear became something solid and tangible. O'roth hurdled it forward, without delay or hesitation.

*Booom!!~~*

The speed of the flaming spear wasn't normal, it immediately broke the sound barrier of the place.

Which was only possible because the space of Erythron was fragile and insubstantial, one where mortals could live without feeling suffocated as though being crushed by there very surroundings.

The spear traversed forward in a straight line like a beam of ray, while leaving a trail of bluish sparks behind, that which hit the concrete ground, thus igniting it in flames.

Yet the ability wasn't complete.

While mid-flight, the one spear instantly sank within oneself immediately afterwards, it instantaneously expanded, dividing itself into 5 equal parts, each containing a destructive force equivalent to half of the initial spear.

And although there speed was also reduced in the process of seperation. Nonetheless, it was still something the perception of the three Inferior Greater Demonesses, failed on.

All they saw in their eyes was but a blue flash travelling towards them at an unimaginable speed. In fact they even failed to preceive the divide the initial elemental flame spear had performed.

*Booom!!~~* ... *Booom!!~~* ... *Booom!!~~* ...

Without any exception, all the spears landed on there intended targets.

Exploding on impact, creating a massive explosion of bluish-black flames that erupted upwards. The flames crackled with intensity, the space rippled from the heat and the ground melted into magma from the force and the fury of the destruction the firestorm housed.

*Whoosh!!~~* ... *Whoosh!!~~* ...

A second after the five consecutive booms, came the tumultuous shockwaves and the soundwaves of the impact.

The former fracturing all the ground in a hundred meters radius around the incandescent blaze, whereas the latter spread at least in a few thousand meters wide radius.

Breaking everything fragile in that radius, such as the glass windows of the many houses bordering the city square, the clay pots, the vases and even many demons also lost their consciousness and were badly injured as the two tumultuous Energy waves rattled their internals completely.

Regardless, these were only those demons below the Third Ascension Rank of the Mortal Phase.

Anyhow, every individual, including the guards tasked with maintaining order in Erythron, who previously didn't know about the confrontation going on in a part of the city square despite the presence Aynz o'roth had unleashed, were now completely aware of it.

Though they had already neared the area of the attack and spotted the aggressors too.

Which were a group of six males, Yet they couldn't do anything to them either. Because they knew who all those six males and how strong they were. On the other side, they were weak demons only at the Fourth Ascension rank of the Mortal Phase.

It was already a miracle that they survived the blast of the berserk Energy waves that sought to devastate their bodies from inside out, because of petrolling on the opposite side of the city square. Which created enough distance between them that led to the miracle of them coming out unscathed.

Alternatively, Aynz o'roth, ignoring everything which was happening around him, focused on the matter at hand. He still did not let his guard down.

For one, he obviously didn't want to kill the four girls, the three Demonesses and Vanessa. In other words, despite the destruction it caused, the ability wasn't used at its apex potential, as Aynz had used his ability with that intent in mind.

Another being, he was actually wary of Demon because of his nonchalant and carefree attitude during this whole time, and that cautiousness had only become even more prominent after he failed to suppress or garner a response or reaction out of him despite consciously focusing his presence on him.

Therefore, the attack was also a means to test the waters on him. To gauge his strength and weakness before committing to a stronger attack.

Considering, if Demon was also a Higher Greater Demon just like him, than Aynz o'roth would've first liked to negotiate with him.

As, he certainly wasn't arrogant enough to engage in a frontal confrontation with another Higher Greater Demon in the middle of Erythron. Let alone in the busiest street of the city.

Because, if he did and failed to get out of the city on time, than considering his ordinary background and status, undoubtedly, he would be made into an eternal slave for any one of the two sovereigns families.

Since, if any demon could come and create disorder in Erythron than it would be seen as a direct slap to the two Demon Dukes.

What face would they have as the Sovereigns, if a nobody could come and do as he pleased in Erythron while disregarding its people and them. It would be pure humiliation. A wound to their pride.

A cardinal sin, a transgression, one which a demon certainly would never forgive.

Anyways, there were also other reasons that would make Aynz o'roth move forward in a passive manner. Like, with him being a newly ascended Higher Greater Demon, his foundation was still unstable.

Meaning, with such a flaw if he were to go in a battle with another Higher Greater Demon than chances are he would most probably loose. As, that flaw would certainly have the potential to become the reason for his loss in a battle of equals.

Which obviously, Aynz o'roth wanted to avoid if he possible could. Everything aside, if Demon was actually weak, than no brainers, he would be crushed unhesitatingly and decisively.

The firestorm raged for a minute...

Meanwhile, the nearby crowd which had been unsurprisingly protected by Aynz had already scattered, running as far away from the flames as they possible could, creating a thousand meters wide clearing in the city square.

The thin barrier flickering around them also carried his clear intent which conveyed; that it wouldn't be long before the barrier dispersed, that was another reason why they were so quick in emptying the impacted zone.

No one wanted to die after all.

The crowd and the city guards working for the six Noble and the two Sovereigns Families, ones which were already at the scene and ones which had come afterwards, all watched from afar with solemn expressions as the incandescent flames slowly receded.

And in came the visage of three demonic beauties which paled in comparison to the fourth, the profane one, dressed in an all black maid uniform with an obsidian skin so deep, mystifying and otherworldly that merely the act of gazing at her felt like a blasphemy.

The woman! A maid with a beauty comparable to a Demon Goddess of myths and lores stood beside a tall man, who stood at a staggering 2.1 meters height.

His expression was amused.

His lips, spreading into an entertaining smile while his fingers played with the bright embers of the bluish-black flames that none dared near. It was an unbelievable sight, one which not even Aynz could wrap his head around, let alone the others.

The destructive flames not only did nothing to the five individuals, but they instead flickered around them, actually behaving in a manner which made the spectator have the illusion that the flames actually had sentience.

The sight of the flames protecting them, the furious heat harmlessly encompassing them and molten ground churning around them, wasn't only absurd and unusual but also peculiarly beautiful and charming.

"Wh...! W-What...!"

"H-Huh...!"

The three Demonesses could barely understand what just happened. Like everybody, even they were confused but the topic of their confusion was completely different from others.

Nevertheless, it didn't take long for the comprehension to hit their brains and when it did, they shuddered in fright, feeling cold. Their hearts beating erratically from the sudden gush of cold blood coming from their fear.

Though they couldn't feel neither the heat nor the flames still ablaze surrounding them, but merely looking at the destruction around them, they couldn't believe their eyes that they actually survived such a dangerous attack without even realizing how.

They gazed at Demon, certain despite the instantaneous events, that he was the one who saved them.

Well, not exactly. He didn't care about their lives just as he didn't care about their words or thoughts. The girls only survived because of them standing near him. Very near in fact! So, when he created the little barrier around himself, they were also inside it.

Thus coming out totally unscathed in the attack.

"How did you survive my attack, you bastard?"

Aynz o'roth shouted. His eyes wide. Voice demanding answers. As, his mind couldn't compherend how was Demon completely unharmed from his attack.

Even more shocking for him was watching his flames becoming so docile in Demon's presence. These flames of his were said to be one of the most destructive flames in all of the Demon Realm in the inheritance he got them from, but here they were behaving so gently.

It was genuinely baffling.

Meanwhile. "Master, why do you keep tolerating the insolence of these mortals towards you? I don't understand?" Vanessa voiced. Her tone indifferent. She was utterly beside herself with fury.

For one, the mortals kept disturbing her alone time with her master, and another being there brazen behavior and attitude towards him.

"You're being too serious My Maid. If one doesn't know who I am than of course, he would behave in a manner that would back up that information."

Demon explained. His lips curled as he looked into his maids beautiful chaotic eyes.

"And you should also stop taking these mortals seriously. Know that I'm not one lowly enough to expect respect from actual mortals, alright. They are not worthy of that... "

He pinched her cheeks. Commanding. "My Vanessa should behave in her usual, cheerful and teasing manner. Because I Love that Vanessa more than the current cold Vanessa...!

Do you understand, My Love~ "

Demon teased, uncaring of his current surroundings.

He was literally standing on a flat normal ground surrounded by molten and cracked ground. Moreover, though none could hear him, still, his actions were being watched by so many people, who really didn't know what to think. But sure were very envious of him, for obvious reasons of course.

Alternatively, the humiliation Aynz o'roth was feeling on observing Demon's actions and his complete disregard towards him.

On watching the scornful and mocking gazes he was getting from the demons, who wouldn't even dare stand before him normally, couldn't be described in words.

Because of which, he roared with sheer fury.

"Bastard...!! Die...!" His presence erupting fully, as he unleashed his strongest ability. One which he had gotten from his so-called inheritance.

Moreover, currently, Aynz o'roth was so beside himself and consumed by pure wrath, that he did not even care about what would happen to him afterwards... ... ... ... ...
