Awakening the Useless Class… But My Talents Are Broken?!

Chapter 117: Summon II

He didn't stop there.

Mike also picked up several accessories and rings designed to enhance summon stats—mana efficiency, durability, shared damage reduction, and partial stat transfer to summons.

Once finished with the summoner section, he moved on to the necromancer aisle.

Here, he found what he expected:

Undead creation skill books

Undead reinforcement and enhancement skills

Skills that improved control, stability, and fusion of undead units

"These will be useful too" Mike said, selecting the best one he could find.

After gathering everything, he brought the items to the counter.

The shopkeeper's polite smile had become noticeably warmer after seeing the size of his purchase.

"Do you need anything else?" she asked.

Mike thought for a moment. "Yes. Do you have a good knight armor set with a sword?"

Her eyes lit up slightly. "Of course. Any element preference?"

"Fire or ice," Mike replied.

She nodded. "In that case, you're in luck. We just received two new sets—Fire Wyvern Knight Armor and Frost Wyvern Knight Armor."

She paused, then added, "Both sets come with greatswords. Is that acceptable?"

Mike nodded without hesitation. "Greatswords are fine."

The shopkeeper went into the back and returned moments later, carrying two full sets.

They were stunning.

The Fire Wyvern set radiated heat, crimson scales layered over black metal, with faint flame patterns etched into the armor.

The Frost Wyvern set was icy blue and silver, cold mist drifting from its surface, sharp and imposing.

Mike's grinned with visble delight.

"Yeah," he said. "These will do just fine."

The shopkeeper nodded and began preparing the bill.

When the total appeared, it came to 11 million gold coins.

Mike paid without hesitation. After all, by hunting high-rank dungeons, he earned far more than he spent just by selling monster corpses and rare materials.

"Thank you very much! Please come again!" the shopkeeper said enthusiastically, waving even after Mike had already stepped outside.

"She's really energetic," Mike thought with a faint smile as he waved back.

After that, he visited a few more places.

He stopped by a clothing shop and a jewelry store, ordering several custom-made cloaks and accessories for his family—items that could help them survive Rank 8-level attacks at least a few times.

Only after finishing that did another thought strike him.

"Hmm… I should get a useful pet for Misty."

With that in mind, Mike headed to the pet shop.

The interior was huge, filled with all kinds of creatures—cute, strange, majestic, and terrifying.

"Welcome, sir. Do you have anything specific in mind?" the shopkeeper asked.

She was a middle-aged woman with neatly groomed hair, standing straight with the posture of a perfect butler.

"Yes," Mike replied. "I want something for my little sister. She's five years old. I need a pet that she'll find beautiful and love—but one that can also protect her in case of danger."

The shopkeeper nodded thoughtfully.

"So, something a child can keep close… but also a strong guardian."

She gestured for him to follow and led him to the second floor.

There, resting calmly, were giant white lions with golden markings. They looked majestic, powerful, and regal.

Mike raised an eyebrow. "From what angle do these look cute to a five-year-old?"

The shopkeeper smiled. "They're Divine Lions. They possess Morph—they can adjust their size and appearance at will."

She turned toward the largest lioness.

"Layala, can you turn into a cute little form, suitable for a child?"

The lioness looked at her for a moment—then her body shimmered.

In seconds, she shrank into a small, fluffy cub, with round ears, soft fur, and bright, gentle eyes.

Mike blinked.

"…Okay. That works."

"This way, she can stay by your sister's side and still become a powerful guardian when needed," the shopkeeper explained.

"Yes," Mike said immediately. "I'll take her."

Layala stepped forward and gently touched Mike's hand with her paw.

"Looks like she's accepted you as her master," the shopkeeper said warmly.

She continued, "Divine Lions have a strict hierarchy. Those who lose internal battles are exiled. Layala was one such exile—I found and saved her. Since then, she's been waiting for a new family."

Mike nodded and crouched slightly.

"Hello, Layala. Nice to meet you."

The lion cub let out a soft sound and rubbed against his hand.

"She's three years old by Divine Lion standards," the shopkeeper added. "A Rank 3 mid-level beast. If nurtured properly, she can eventually reach Rank 9, the peak of the White Divine Lions."

Mike nodded again. "How much?"

The shopkeeper answered calmly,

"Nothing too much. Just 3 billion gold coins."

Mike stared at her.

"…."

For reference 1 gold is like 100 dollares from his previous life, So 3 billion gold is like 300 Billion Dollars.

"So, how would you like to make payments " she asked casually.

In the end, Mike had to trade in a large portion of his stored high-rank monster corpses because he definitely didn't have 3 billion gold coins in cash.

After everything was settled, he checked his remaining balance.

Just a few thousand gold coins remained.

"I'm poor again…" Mike muttered, holding back tears as he walked out, with Layala following closely behind.

"But at least Misty will like you, Layala," Mike said softly.

He gently picked up the cub and placed her into a special pet cube, which allowed living beings to be stored safely inside an inventory.

It was the standard method for transporting pets and creatures between the Origin World and their world—or vice versa.

Mike returned to the inn, rested for a while, and then logged out of the Origin World.

Back in his world, he stretched his body and let out a long breath.

"Alright," he said. "Let's go."

The first thing he did was take out the pet cube.

Light flashed, and Layala appeared beside him—a small white lion cub with faint golden markings. She looked around curiously, then sat down calmly.

"Okay," Mike said, smiling. "Let's go meet my sister. From now on, you're her partner. Protect her, alright?"

He gently patted Layala's head.

Layala lowered her head slightly and nodded, as if she understood.
