Chapter 2995 Invited?
*Whoosh!~*

Davis appeared near the closest region to the Aurora Cloud Gate's headquarters. His expression was solemn because, on the way, he saw too much destruction.
The time it took for the Vacuous Beasts to appear till now wouldn't be even thirty minutes, but all he could see were flattened cities, gobbled-up villages from the ground that even the roots of massive trees reached, bloodied lakes forming almost like an archipelago of puddles, and newly formed toxic rivers of Vacuous Beast Blood.
Obviously, these Immortal Emperor Vacuous Beasts that had suddenly appeared in the skies and descended on settlements had been taken care of by Grand Elders of the Aurora Cloud Gate. However, the aura of death filled the atmosphere, making his brows twitch with intense anger as he felt that it was the same in other regions.
Although the Immortal Emperor Vacuous Beasts could've been stopped by the Prefecture's respective powers in the other regions like the Starlight Jade Wolf Clan's Ancestors did, he knew the death toll wouldn't be any less than a billion.
'Is… is this because I revived my sworn brother's woman…?'
But after anger came a pang of guilt, causing him to close his eyes and clench his fists.
Thinking carefully, this happened right after he revived Renfa Jadelight. Even if he was not fully responsible, he imagined that his actions caused something to be skewed further, which caused the worse to turn into a full-fledged calamity.
He didn't use Fallen Heaven, but his actions as an Anarchic Divergent would also skew the lines badly, so was it really his fault?

No matter what it was, he heaved a heavy sigh.
'If I started taking responsibility for everything that happened out of my control, then I really would have to commit suicide...'
He remembered those people who pointed at him because his existence caused misfortune to swell and calamity to reap lives. Those hateful expressions turned his face into one of indifference. He accepted that he was a harbinger of calamity, but to survive along with his family, then he didn't mind being stared at with those hateful looks.
"Master, it's not your fault…"
Davis blinked as he heard Nadia's sweet and concerned voice, causing the indifference on his face to disappear.
He nodded to her with a smile and took out a messaging talisman.
"Is the situation the same?"
As soon as he spoke into the messaging talisman, it glowed, and a reply emerged.
"It's the same. The sect's barrier is down right now, so I guess the situation has been taken care of. I have asked Stella to ask her mother about what's going on, but it seems like her mother is busy."
"I see."
Davis nodded. He was glad that nothing had happened in the headquarters. However, since he was here, he wondered if he should pay a visit. But a few seconds later, he squashed that urge and turned around to leave.
Somehow, his back seemed quite lonely.
Just as he climbed on top of Nadia and left, an old man suddenly blocked his path, causing Davis's lips to curl.
"Level Seven Immortal Emperor Stage… you've really hidden your cultivation, huh?"
Looking at Elder Aradiel Furiose, Davis smiled wryly.
"It isn't fun when you can kill your opponents in one move." Elder Aradiel Furiose harrumphed ever so lightly, "Then, why is a self-exiled disciple here?"
"…"
Davis turned speechless.
"Why would you exile yourself if you're going to come back?" But Elder Aradiel Furiose didn't seem to let go of this matter.
Davis clenched his teeth under the barrage of questions, "Obviously because I didn't expect Immortal Emperor Vacuous Beasts to appear, not to mention I didn't want to impose and bring trouble-"
"The Aurora Cloud Gate hasn't asked for your consideration, and it isn't weak enough to fall because of a weak Anarchic Divergent like you or some puny beasts without a single hint of sentience."
Elder Aradiel Furiose rebutted, causing Davis to grumble as he did agree inwardly but shook his head.
"Still… I don't like to owe needlessly. I do feel immense gratitude for providing a place of safety, especially for my family, but you really don't know about me, about the calamities I can truly bring…"
"…" Elder Aradiel Furiose stared at Davis as though he was unable to understand.
"You're one over-concerned Anarchic Divergent I've never seen before. Perhaps, you truly are an enigma with how you have both life and death energy in you. In any case, unless half of the First Haven World decides to gang up, you don't need to worry about us."
He looked away, "Although the Guardians are quite young compared to me, they're near invincible in this world. If they were to make a move, then it would flip heaven and earth, and I mean it literally as they're Divergents, capable of shaking the flow around myriad lives, but this time around, I heard that there was a huge distortion. So their movement shouldn't make much-"
"I'll be taking this young disciple."
Elder Aradiel Furiose was just talking proudly when suddenly he heard a voice that caused him to purse his lips as he saw a black-white-robed young man appear beside him. His expression appeared aloof, and one of his pupils was black and the other white.
"…!"
Davis's gaze shook as his heart sank. Although there was no sensible aura from this person, he instantly knew that he wasn't a match and could die in an instant if the other party made a move.
"Guardian Elysian."
Elder Aradiel Furiose cupped his hand, but he didn't bow his head, "To what does this young disciple owe the pleasure?"
"He's related to this incident."
"…?"
Elder Aradiel Furiose blinked. However, he didn't bicker, nodding his head.
"If the Guardian of the Research Department says so, then it must be true."
Davis was twice shocked. Research Department? He had never heard of that department in the Aurora Cloud Gate, meaning that it must be some high-level gathering only allowed to loyalists or creative geniuses. However, he didn't say anything, watching Guardian Elysian open a spatial vortex and gesture for him to step in.
"…"
Davis felt he had no choice but to enter, but if Elder Aradiel Furiose didn't say anything, he felt it should be safe. Inwardly groaning a bit, he took Nadia into his soul sea.
Guardian Elysian gave a look at Nadia, but that stare didn't stay longer than it needed to.
Taking a step forward, Davis entered the spatial vortex, walking out into an open space.
The weather was nice, everything refreshing as daylight shone in a warm manner. However, he was stunned looking at the round table under a giant umbrella.
At a glance, he saw five- no six people as he saw Guardian Kalaxis Vain and the Void Dust Empress being seated along with them. Even Myria was amidst them.
And by 'them', he instantly knew by their stature and non-existent aura that they were the other Guardians he had not seen, causing him to almost take a deep breath as he didn't know how he suddenly found himself here.
A hand patted his shoulder, causing it to become relevant as he saw Guardian Elysian walk past him and gesture for him to be seated by the seat next to Myria.
But Davis didn't move as he had seen something at the center. In the center of the umbrella was a cocoon, and in that cocoon were people he recognized to be from the Godwin Family, especially Nyx Godwin's grandfather, whom he had seen from Myria's recount of the exchange she had with him after Nyx Godwin's death.
