Chapter 4569: Geina Bass

Chapter 4569: Geina Bass

"My lady," greeted Rotrick as I landed in the camp with the group of people. "How are things?" I asked as I walked into the camp with him.

I had come from another long peace meeting. We have stopped fighting and are now negotiating, which is another battle. More exhausting than the actual battle.

"Good; nothing happened. Even if it had, we would have dealt with it," he replied, his voice confident.

I would have been confident as well, if not for the remainder that is in my room. "Remain alert," I cautioned. Though I doubt he or any other person in my army could do anything if that man acts.

I pushed those thoughts and looked at my men. There is a large army, which was fighting day and night until a few days ago, when I stopped the war.

I had no desire to do that. I am confident that I could have won it, but things changed, and they had changed so suddenly that they left me with no choice.

My men, I could see, looked relieved. Many don’t want to fight anymore.

They fought, and it was bloody; even I shuddered looking at the scale, but victory would have given us so much more. It would have doubled our territory.

Most importantly, I would have gained access to the ruin. It is ruin that holds the key to becoming a sovereign.

I pushed those thoughts away; it is all important, but nothing is more important than my life and his. As long as I live, I will have a chance to become a Sovereign.

Soon, I reached the meeting room where all my lieutenants who are currently not on the field were waiting.

The meeting lasted for three hours before finally, it’s over. I returned to my tent.

As I stepped inside, a figure greeted me. He is still frozen; nothing in his body is making the slightest movement. The only thing that is moving is the emotion in his eyes.

I could tell he was seeing everything, but couldn’t do anything.

I have consulted many, and they thought it might be beyond Sovereign to do something like Peak Primary-III. All I had read about it said the same thing.

It shouldn’t be possible. In our continent, the Sovereign is the highest level.

Most people don’t even believe there is a level higher than the Sovereign. There have been stories of people coming to our continent from outside.

People. Powerful beyond imagination, most consider it a myth; I did it too until this.

"Bear it a little longer, love. Once the peace is settled, I will go to the healer myself," I said, and could see the emotions in his eyes changing.

He does not want me to do that. I will do it.

It is on my order; he had gone to the healer. I heard about him and how he is saving everyone. There is not a single casualty in his hospital.

I thought it was just a rumour at first, before the intelligence verified it.

I had sent Jerhan to retrieve him. If there is resistance, then kill him. It is war; if I didn’t take him, Heln would have, and I could not give him the edge.

I do not regret my choice because I didn’t have any. I just wish Jerhan hadn’t caught in it.

I walked toward him and gently touched his cheek, which was warm. There is no sign of any magic or enchantment. I could not sense it, nor could any of the tools I had used.

It is as if he is acting as if he is frozen.

At first, it was what I had thought, and I even slapped him for the joke going too far, but it’s no joke.

Hun!

I was looking when I heard the light cough and turned fast. Only to see a handsome man looking at me with a smile, beside him a floating unconscious man.

A shock spread through my heart, but I crushed it immediately and knelt.

"Your Majesty," I greeted.

I have to see his portrait enough times to recognise who he is; I didn’t even dare to look into his eyes.

"It’s been quite a while since someone greeted me like this," he said, with his voice average. There is a power in it, as I heard in the voices of Sovereigns.

Even the voices of Primary-III have power in their voice; his didn’t have even a shred.

"I want to apologise for the disrespect I have caused and hope you will release Jerhan; punishing me in his place," I said. There was no reply, but I felt a gentle feeling coming over me.

He made me stand up and sat me on the chair across. It was gentle, but I had no resistance.

"We will talk about that later, but first, tell me everything you know about this man?" he asked, looking at the man floating beside him.

I have never seen him, but looking at him, he is from my army.

It made me curious why he wanted to know about that, but I quickly pushed that thought away.

"It might take some time," I said, and the man smiled. "I will wait," he replied with a smile. I shuddered, but nodded before walking out of my abode.

He wants the information as soon as possible, and I am going to give it to him.

It still took me several hours before I could gather everything I could. When I returned, I saw he was not there, and was thinking what to do when I saw Jerhan moving from the corner of my eye.

"He asked me to thank you for the information," said Jerhan, while I stared at the information crystal in my hand. I did not give it to him.

"Where do you think he went?" I asked. "Let’s not talk about it. We are lucky to be alive," he replied and took me in his embrace. I nodded, pushing all curiosity away.

We survived; that is enough.
