Chapter 4570: Studying

I appeared in a scenic village by a small river, with a population of not more than a thousand.

It is evening, and the villagers are celebrating. Villagers have gathered in the village square, where an enormous bonfire is burning in the centre.

It didn’t take me long to realise what these people are celebrating.

They are celebrating the end of the war.

I appeared in the midst with Lino, that is the name of a man with a parasite, but nobody seemed to notice me. Well, they would need to be Prime to notice me.

I looked at them before my soul sense spread. It entered into the bodies of all the people.

Within seconds, two bodies lit up: a young man of seventeen and a woman in her mid-thirties. ’I was right, it is going after specific people,’ I thought.

When I was waiting earlier for information. I had scanned through the camp, and there were thousands of people with parasites in both of the camps.

I took a deep breath and looked at the dense forest around me, with a sea in front, which was glittering beautifully under the moonlight.

It’s a beautiful night, one that is great to be with friends and family.

I pushed those thoughts away and focused on the scenery. I thought it would be calm here. Never in my dreams had I expected to find a foreign.

Well, it didn’t matter if I could deal with it. I would definitely wipe it off the face of the earth.

A few minutes later, I walked back into the abode, but didn’t enter my core.

Instead, I appeared behind the kitchen and took out the stuff before cooking. It’s been a while since I ate something made by my hands.

Usually, I feel the powerful urge, if it is long enough, but I did not.

What I am eating may not be high enough level, but it is satiating, which is most important for me.

Soon, an hour passed, and I finished cooking. I served it to myself and ate alone. It feels especially lonely today; it’s the first time in months I am eating dinner alone.

Usually, I eat with patrons of the inn, and since the injured started coming, with the healers.

It’s good, and it would be better if I had company.

I finished the dinner and washed the plates before entering my core and studied through the vast swath of data. Even with the help of all my clones, it’s going to take time.

Fortunately, time is something I have here.

My energy clone is doing well; nobody suspected anything. Well, except for my apprentice, the girl looked at me now and then. She is very observant.

That is going to help her a lot, but will also bring her a lot of trouble.

I pushed the stray thought and looked at the data.

The more I looked at it, the more impressed I became with it. Especially, the way it harvested the life force. It’s the most sophisticated system I’ve seen.
