Death… And Me

Chapter 3854: A1 Characterists

Chapter 3854: A1 Characterists

No one would ever expect that someone could use the Abyssal Paths without the Great Void Shifters. However, thanks to Kuruhei’s information, the twins’ group knew exactly which shifter’s Abyssal Path to utilize.

Rean and Roan approached the shifter, which no longer existed. They connected to the system, which immediately opened the Abyssal Path for them. Finally, the quartet, Rean, Roan, Celis, and Kentucky, entered the Abyssal Path together.

They wanted to emerge from the Abyssal Path together on the other side, just in case they had to fight or face any challenges.

Universe A1...

The A1 Universe actually had a peculiarity. The Heavens, Divine Realm, Mortal Realm, and Underworld were not separated into distinct planes, as is usually the case in most Universes. Due to the various Chaos Origin Sources, the different planes were merged, and even the normal planets had access to Divine Energy. If you had a very high cultivation and enough time, you could even use Spatial Gates to go from the Divine Realm to the Underworld or Heavens, for example.

Spiritual Energy, which is the lowest type of energy, does not exist here. Thanks to that, experts of the entire Universe can enter the Void Tempering Realm without the need to go to one of the three higher realms. In fact, some highly influential experts ended up returning to their own home planets after reaching the Space-Time and even Divinity Realms just because they wanted to.

Of course, if you were looking for Void Tempering Realm and above experts, you had to go to the Divine Realm. Those at that level who stayed or returned to their planets existed, but were very few. The majority still decided to ascend so they could have a better time at cultivating.

Considering how ginormous A1 was, you would have a hard time finding one of those planets with experts above the Transition Realm. But, if you wanted, you could have your breakthroughs there without any problems. You just wouldn’t have anywhere near as many resources for further cultivation, that’s all.

A1 had a total of two Great Void Shifters that had been completely abandoned or destroyed. Well, there were a few more, but there were only two where no settlements, cities, and such could be found nearby.

As one can expect, these two Shifters were in the Three Higher Realms. One was in the Divine Realm, while the other was in the Underworld. When picking which one they would use to get to A1, the twins ended up selecting the Divine Realm again.

The reason for that was simple. Since there was no such division between realms, the Divine Realm would be the best place to start if you were looking for Starlight Energy. It was widely known that cultivators of Starlight Energy were mostly found in the Divine Realm, even if you can find some in the Underworld and the Heavens. Thus, that was also where they would likely find more information about some good sources.

Divine Realm, South West side, Continent of Wanfak...

The Wanfak Continent is located very far from the central area of the Divine Realm. It’s important to note that a Rank A Universe features a significantly larger Divine Realm. In fact, the distance from Wanfak to the center of this Divine Realm is several times greater than the total length of the Divine Realm in the Lisan Universe, for example.

That raised the question, why would a Great Void Shifter exist in such a faraway place, even if it was the Divine Realm of A1? The reason was actually pretty simple. All Rank A Universes have Great Void Shifters connecting different areas of their own Universes!

That’s what you got with Rank A Universes... they were just way too big! That said, a long time ago, the Werdlem Empire used the Abyssal Paths to connect different locations of the same Rank A Universes through the Great Void Shifter Formations. It turned out to be much cheaper than normal teleport formations after a certain distance was crossed.

That was also why most of the Great Void Shifters in all nine Rank A Universes were in suitable condition for usage, even if most were inactive. They were the primary means of transportation when you had to go to faraway places in those Rank A Universes, places that regular formations would cost a ridiculous amount of Divine Energy.

It was fortunate that this one in Wanfak had been completely abandoned and had no settlements around it. The reason was that back then, a new sect rose to power in the surrounding continents, and the Great Void Shifter was transferred to that sect.

But, as mentioned before, the Abyssal Paths don’t disappear, so this shifter’s abyssal path was still there, perfect for the twins’ arrival.

At the top of a mountain, which had once been the center of a great city, a fissure in space suddenly appeared. There was no spatial power, though. Only a portal different from any Spatial Gate any expert would have seen before. Some might even wonder if a Temporal Path had just opened, although it would also be different.

*Zush, zush, zush, zush!*

Four experts shot out of that portal like bullets, landing on the ground with immense force and even causing craters to open around them. Dust rose, and the ground trembled. There were even a few rocks around that mountain that detached and began to roll down the hill.

*Cough, cough, cough...*

"I truly wish to know why we are always thrown out of the Abyssal Paths in such a manner," Rean’s voice echoed in the midst of the rubble, as he slowly walked out.

*Flap!*

Kentucky moved his wings, creating a powerful gale of wind that blasted all the rubble and dust away, revealing the surrounding area. He checked everything around with his Divine Sense, and there didn’t seem to be any dangers at first. "Perhaps it is because the abyssal path was created with the idea of a Great Void Shifter Formation being used to access it."

Celis’s roots moved around like tentacles, quickly absorbing the surrounding Divine Energy and Origin Energy. "What a magical place. Even though we are so far away from the central area of the Divine Realm, the concentration of energies here is so high that it matches normal Rank Five and Six Divine Stones. No wonder the common currency is Divine Stones of Rank Seven at least."

Roan closed his eyes for a moment, focusing on another energy instead. Then, he nodded, satisfied. "Even Starlight Energy Concentration is far higher than any other Universe. If the natural presence is already this high, I wonder just what kind of Starlight Energy sources we can find here."

[Hey, you four!] Sister Orb intervened. [We don’t know if our arrival has been detected somehow by this Universe’s authorities, remember? Get the fuck out of this place before anyone arrives to check!]

Rean, Roan, Celis, and Kentucky didn’t need to hear it twice. They all jumped on Kentucky’s back, who quickly took flight and shot into the distance. Whether someone arrived to check this place later or not, the twins would never know.
