Death… And Me

Chapter 3887: A Deal To Propose

Chapter 3887: A Deal To Propose

After demonstrating her ability to create Starlight Energy, Wisfreya finally let go of that crystal, taking a deep breath and opening her eyes again. "Eh?!"

Yet, as soon as she opened it, she noticed something very, very close to her face. Rean was leaning forward so close, with such a serious expression, that she almost jumped backwards out of instict. "W-What? What are you looking at?"

Rean didn’t answer, though. "Should be possible..."

’Possible? What is possible?’ Wisfreya thought immediately.

Roan, on the side, nodded. "Won’t there be a mutation? It might actually impact her ability."

"Mutation? What mutation?" Wisfreya this time asked straight.

Rean stood up straight again, crossing his arms and speaking his thoughts. He still didn’t answer her question. "I will need Kentucky’s help. He will have to first eliminate his overwhelming power from his bloodline before giving it to her. If we do that, her bloodline shouldn’t be affected by his, but still be able to use his blood to recover her own."

Wisfreya began to get annoyed. "Hey, you two..."

Roan nodded. "And what about the time?"

"For the bloodline?" Rean pondered a bit. "I’m certain we will need the pure bloodline. That’s why her entire body is necessary. The blood in her body would be refined and only the pure bloodline will be used for the upgrade. Even using my method with Kentucky’s help, it should still take a few decades until we get enough of it without affecting her."

"A few decades isn’t a problem for us anymore," Roan said. "We will be using that amount of time to get to the proper level anyway. Okay, the bloodline part seems feasible. What about the soul?"

Rean glanced at Wisfreya again. "That’s the tricky part. As a Dragon Bloodline inheritor, her soul power isn’t anything impressive. To make sure nothing goes wrong, I will have to get it bit by bit and give her the necessary time to recover. I will obviously use my Light Element to help her recover, but since we will need many sessions, I can’t force the issue. We must give her soul the chance to recover on its own for safety sake. It might actually take longer than the bloodline part. If you give her proper training, it should speed up the process, a new cultivation technique would do even better."

Wisfreya’s expression was turning dark already. "Are you doing it on purpose?"

Still ignoring her, Roan continued. "A few decades for the bloodline, maybe more for the soul... I can make the technique, no issues here. But can you store both the soul and bloodline without causing any damage over the time they will be stored?"

"That part is easy," Rean answered with a smile. "Don’t forget about the Abyssal Beast Soul we have there. We will store the bits we collect in the same way, and it should actually grow stronger over time. As for the bloodline, we can simply freeze it completely. The Orb should be able to make a space with a temperature near absolute zero inside the Dimensional Realm. Oh! I have an idea. Let’s use your pool of Pristine Elemental Liquid."

Roan understood. "That might actually work. The properties of that water should keep the blood in good condition. In fact, the blood will likely absorb the water over time and increase its original power."

Roan got that water for his pills and even made a pool to store, but it was good for many other things. Anything soaked into it would benefit over a length exposition with no detriments.

Finally, Rean and Roan were satisfied, looking at Wisfreya like she was a treasure. "Alright. This should work!"

Then, a vein popped out on Wisfreya’s head.

*Zush!*

*Bang!*

Wisfreya punched forward, trying to discount all her frustration after the twins ignored her for so long. Rean was the closest one, so he ended up being the target. Yet, in the end, Wisfreya’s jaw dropped.

The blast of Divine Energy happened... but nothing else did. The furniture was intact, the room was silent, and no one outside it seemed to have noticed the sudden burst of power.

No, that was not what made Wisfreya drop her jaws. Instead, it was the single finger that stopped her fist! Sure, she didn’t use all her power in that punch. She only wanted to make Rean feel some pain... maybe break a few bones. Yet, Rean stopped her attack with a single finger! Even worse, he hasn’t used even an iota of Divine Energy at all!

"Y-You!" If she had some doubts before, now they were completely gone. "You are not a Nascent Soul Realm Expert at all, are you?!"

*Zush!*

Rean suddenly disappeared, just for him to appear again right in front of her, his finger touching her forehead! That made Wisfreya’s blood freeze! They were talking about taking her bloodline and soul! She was going to die! In the end, she closed her eyes tightly, waiting for the end.

*Crack!*

However, the end didn’t come. Instead, for a moment, she felt a surge of Light Element enter her forehead, and then, a cracking sound echoed in her mind. No, better saying that it echoed in her soul! She opened her eyes again, and it only took an instant for her to notice what happened. "You... you broke the Soul Binding Contract’s Seal!"

*Pat, pat, pat...*

Rean’s finger left her forehead, just for the same hand’s palm to touch the top of her head instead. Rean patted her with gently. It felt quite weird, as Rean was actually smaller than her at the moment since he was pretending to be a kid. "Look Roan, isn’t this kid smart?"

"Hmph!" Roan had his doubts. "Still too green. Leaving that aside, what if you alarmed the person who held the other side of her Soul Binding Contract?"

"Oh, don’t worry," Rean said, shaking his head and still patting the girl’s head as if she was a three year old toddler. "I didn’t completely break the seal, only stopped it from being able to force the kid to do whatever was stated in the contract. Those on the other end won’t feel anything."

"Then that’s good," Roan turned his attention to the girl again. "However, her Luminous Dragon Bloodline isn’t a good match for my abilities. I can make the cultivation technique, but she will be your problem."

"I’m not exactly good at it either, but we do have someone perfect for that job, don’t we?" Rean asked in response.

Roan’s eyebrow raised a little bit, and he understood. "A kid helping another kid... although the helping kid does have experience in this regard... Yes, Foliana should do well enough."

Finally, Roan asked Wisfreya. "Kid, this is a turning point for you. Be aware that even if you refuse, nothing will happen, so you don’t need to feel obligated to accept. That being said, we have a deal to propose."
