Death… And Me

Chapter 3934: Same Thing

Chapter 3934: Same Thing

’Any new friends?’ Kentucky contacted Rean through Sister Orb. He was just about to leave for Vous Continent.

Rean shook his head in response. ’So far, no one. But I’m still in the Runia Continent. It’s to be expected.’

Kentucky moved to the teleport formation that had been prepared for them with the Envoy and the others. He didn’t know what this Envoy was going to discuss with the representatives on the other side, but that was probably a business between Zonel Country and Lobokian Country, not something related to the continents as a whole. It wouldn’t make sense to have people at Kentucky and Suimarlo’s level serving as escorts if the reason behind the trip had such higher stakes.

"Alright, send us over. They are already expecting us," said Suliao to the formations masters there.

The Formation activated, a silver light flashed, and everyone disappeared.

The exact moment Kentucky teleported out of the continent, something changed back in the Floating Island. The Judgemental Eye was still closed, but its iris still turned behind it, in the direction Kentucky had just left.

The golden light flashed inside once again, before the eye opened just slightly, and the light escaped. It was small, pretty much imperceptible, but it was there. The eye closed completely right after.

In the Divine Military Academy, Ximao was in his office, taking care of some of his duties. But then, his eyebrows raised a little, and he turned in the direction of the eye. ’So I wasn’t able to stop it completely, uh? I can only hope things don’t escalate too much.’

Back to Kentucky, his vision blurred, but it returned to normal after a second, and he found himself in a completely different place. The first thing Kentucky did when he arrived was to check for the presence of Killing Intent.

His thoughts were pretty simple. Since the countries in the Runia Continent couldn’t touch him anymore, they might as well leak the news about him and the rest of the twins’ group. Such a talented youngster could potentially become a target when visiting other continents.

Yet, there was nothing, not that Kentucky really cared. If anything, he was a little disappointed, thinking he could have some fun with whoever might have come after him. ’No Red Color of Killing Intent... Well, I guess Suliao was right. We likely won’t have to act at all during this time here.’

Suliao came down from the teleport formation first, meeting with an official from Lobokian Country. "I’m Suliao, the Envoy from Zonel Country."

"We were expecting you, friend," the official spoke. "Please follow me. The Prime Minister is already waiting for you in the castle."

He then looked at Suliao’s entourage. "As the topics of this meeting are a secret, we can’t have them all participating. I will have to ask them to wait just outside, but Envoy Sulio can select two guards to follow you into the meeting, as long as you guarantee they will not intervene or leak the contents."

Suliao knew all of that ahead of time. "Drora, Jrugan, you two will follow me as discussed."

"Understood," Drora was obviously the Elemental Space Realm Initial Stage guy, while Jrugan was one of the two Peak Stage Space-Bending cultivators Kentucky saw back in Zonel Country.

There were quite a few experts in Lobokian at the moment, matching the forces sent by Zonel with the Envoy. There was no hostility, though. There were quite a few countries separating these two, and they didn’t really have a reason to make things difficult for each other. This was a business-related meeting that could greatly benefit both countries. Both wanted it to go well. Just like Suliao said, all these experts were nothing more than a display of power and status, nothing else.

Everyone got to the castle, Suliao and his two selected bodyguards entered the meeting room, and the conversation quickly started, both sides in high spirits.

Kentucky was obviously left outside, and he didn’t really care about the meeting. He just waited with everyone else while checking his CD and the Great Kentucky Fan Club website to pass the time. Even with the war in Green Cluster, the website existed in the Werdlem Network, so it wouldn’t go down.

The conversation lasted for hours on end, and it likely wouldn’t be over for the next days either. However, it was then that Kentucky noticed something.

"Hum?" He looked in a certain direction, confused. Just now, he felt a presence, something approaching the country at high speeds. It was weird, different from anything he felt in the past. He didn’t care too much, though. He couldn’t see the red color of killing intent, nor could he feel anyone’s Divine Sense. So he thought it was likely not related to him.

But then, everyone in the city was caught by surprise. The horizon, far in the distance, changed to a golden color, a phenomenon no one had ever seen before.

"What is that?"

"Wow! That’s quite beautiful..."

"Pull yourself together, woman. Something is wrong."

Inside the castle, Envoy Suliao and the Prime Minister were immediately informed of the changes. The two stopped their meeting, coming out of the room.

They were all experts there, so they flew out of the castle quickly. There was some tension between both sides; they wondered if the other had something to do with it.

"Prime Minister, this..." Suliao spoke.

The Prime Minister shook his head in response. "Judging by your reaction, it seems like it has nothing to do with you either. Look around, no one here knows what is happening."

Of course, there was a chance that either side was pretending to not know what was happening, so they kept their guards up.

Kentucky was also there, and his eyes could see further than anyone else’s. But, above all, his Divine Sense could spread the furthest with his Peak Stage Divinity Realm Soul.

As Kentucky observed with his Divine Sense, he noticed that aside from the growing golden light on the horizon, there was nothing else present. However, not long after, he noticed that the energy began to gather within that enormous golden area.

A vast, rotating sphere of golden light, initially resembling a sunlike energy mass, slowly took shape. As it approached, it split into hundreds of luminous bands swirling like ribbons of golden plasma. Each ribbon occasionally formed an eye of light that opened and shut, giving it an unsettling, omniscient feeling. No, it was better to say it was corrupted, very strange.

’Errr... Roan...’ Kentucky contacted Roan inside the Celestial Soul Dimensional Realm. ’You are the only one not in a mission or executing any other task at the moment, right?’

Roan nodded. He was already watching it from inside the Dimensional Realm with Sister Orb’s help. ’I am.’

’Good...’ Kentucky spoke again. ’I might need your help here. That thing... that thing is strong, and it is coming for me.’

’I can see-’ Just as Roan was about to finish his words, his expression changed.

*Zush!*

He changed his appearance in an instant, leaving the Celestial Soul Dimensional Realm a few kilometers away from Kentucky.

Then...

*Zuommmummmm...*

Space distorted as the Golden Light covered the city. Immediately, Kentucky understood. ’Spatial blockage...’

Roan nodded slightly while everyone in the city grew more worried. ’I had to come out straight away, or I wouldn’t be able to do it anymore. We won’t be able to escape into the Celestial Soul Dimensional Realm.’

Normally, everyone would have paid attention to Roan since he appeared out of nowhere, especially since he wasn’t hiding his cultivation, the middle stage of the Space-Time Realm. Well, Sky Space-Time Realm. However, Roan was truly unremarkable at the moment. That’s because the Golden Monster was already within everyone’s Divine Senses. They all froze in place. It had no cultivation, but they could tell it. That thing could wipe them out in an instant.

Roan turned to them, passing an order. "Get the fuck out of here!"

Too late, in the previous second, the monster was still far away, in the next, it was already above the city. It focused on Kentucky at first, but once Roan appeared, it also noticed him, as if they were the same thing.
