Death… And Me

Chapter 4035: BH1

Chapter 4035: BH1

After thousands of years hidden, the underground split up and the swamp water rushed down. It did not hit Rean and Kentucky, who were the only ones coming out. They used their Divine Energy to force the water away, keeping themselves clean.

On the surface, they looked around, confirming that nothing much had changed since they hid here.

"So, what now?" Kentucky asked, curious.

"Well, what else? We need to break through into the Celestial Realm, that’s what," Rean said. Then, he took out his CD and checked the information inside. "Hum... we got those slots to use a Great Void Black Hole all those years ago, but that was with a different identity."

Back in the Rank D Universe, D33, where they found the corrupted system, Rean made a deal. In exchange for fixing a ’particular key,’ Rean asked for the slots necessary to get near a Great Void Black Hole. His ’employer’ turned out to be blood-related to the Universe Owner of another Universe, a Rank C one. Rean didn’t know if the guy would keep his word, but Rean did ask for the slots to be free, which means anyone could use them. Naturally, the twins’ group could use the slots with their identities right now.

So, why did Rean mention they got it with different IDs? Because there were no guarantees. Truth be told, what Rean did was more of a threat than a deal. So, once his group gets to the Great Void Black Hole and shows they have those slots, perhaps they will be attacked or something similar instead of being given a passage. It wasn’t hard to think their ’employer’ back then would try to seek revenge with his background’s help.

"Should we give up? We are in A1. I’m pretty sure there are other ways to get access to a Great Void Black Hole here," Kentucky commented. "In fact, I seem to remember that A1 Divinities and Divinities from other A-ranked Universes, who wish to reach the Celestial Realm, always go to the Werdlem Main Universe."

That was also true. For those in the Rank A Universes, it was easier to use the Great Void Shifters and use the Werdlem Main Universe’s Black Hole.

"The problem is that we don’t know the risks of going to the Werdlem Universe," Rean commented. "Don’t forget we believe the Werdlem Network might actually be a system itself. Wouldn’t our presence there be detected? If they find out we also have a system of our own, escaping the Werdlem Main Universe will be ridiculously difficult. I wouldn’t be surprised if that entire Universe was protected by some mind-blowing gigantic formation."

From inside the Dimensional Realm, Roan agreed with Rean. "The idiot is right. Considering the risks, using the Black Hole out in the Great Void will be safer, even if there is a trap waiting for us."

"In that case..." Kentucky could see the next steps.

"Yes," and Rean confirmed. "We might as well find an abandoned/destroyed Great Void Shifter and take the Abyssal Path."

"Okay..." Kentucky added. "There are Four Great Void Black Holes. One is in the Werdlem Universe, the other three are outside. The outside ones are controlled by the Rank B and C Universes together. Which one did we get the slots for?"

[BH3,] Sister Orb answered. [Each Black Hole has a simple abbreviation. BH1 is in the Werdlem Universe. BH2, 3, and 4 are outside. The slots Rean got are for BH3, located near the Rank B Universe called B21. That Universe receives quite a lot of visits from experts of other universes for that same reason.]

"Aren’t you all forgetting a very, very important problem?" Celis suddenly asked.

Rean and the others quickly paid attention to him. "Which is?"

"We ’grew up’ with these new identities so we could have an excuse for our fast cultivation and not have to hide anymore. That much you already know." Celis pointed out the obvious.

"But what about the Celestial Realm Breakthrough? If we leave the A1 Universe to have our breakthroughs in that BH3 and then come back here, how will we explain our breakthroughs? The experts here would never go after those Great Void Black Holes outside the Universes. They would always go to the Werdlem Main Universe. From what we know, their BH1 is much bigger than the three Great Void Black Holes found outside the Universes. It makes no sense to go there to have our breakthroughs."

"Last but not least, we are talking about BH3, a Great Void Black Hole found outside the Universes. The queues to get access to such Great Void Black Holes are enormous. We were warned that we might have to wait thousands of years, even if we have a slot. Those slots are simply to put us in the queue, nothing else. The Werdlem Universe’s BH1 would be many times faster simply because it can accommodate many more experts at once. It created many, many more breaches to the Celestial Plane than the others, after all."

Everyone went silent. The idea was to be seen as geniuses with a past that could be tracked down to a certain extent. But if that was the case, going to the Werdlem Universe was the right thing to do. If they used an outside Black Hole, that would be the same as saying they had something to hide. Let’s not even talk about the very long waiting line.

It goes without saying that every new Celestial Realm Expert is recorded. The Werdlem Main Universe, BH1, from Victor’s words, gets a new one every one hundred years. It is definitely a lot if you think of the chances of success. Nonetheless, it is still just one every one hundred years.

The other three Black Holes, BH2, 3, and 4, only get a single new one every one thousand years or so. It would look even weirder if the entire twins’ group became Celestial Realm Experts at once. What are the chances, right? If it happened in the Werdlem Universe, even if rare, at least it would be believable.

Now, the question was whether it was worth taking that kind of risk or if they should go for the BH3 regardless and think about the consequences later.

Finally, Roan decided. "We need more information. You two, we are going to the Central Area of the Divine Realm and create some waves. The best will be if we befriend some of the Celestial Realm Experts of A1, and I believe there should be quite a few there. We are now considered ’free agents’ in the Werdlem Network after our separation from the Runia Continent, so there is nothing holding us here."

"Sister Orb," Rean immediately asked. "If we wanted to use the Great Void Shifter Formation to go to the Werdlem Universe, how would we make our approach? Who should we talk to? Who should we join?"

Rean had to ask that. After all, arriving in the Werdlem Universe through their normal Abyssal Path method would require them to stay hidden. Naturally, there would be no such thing as acquiring a slot for BH1. If they go to BH1, they must use the proper channels. In fact, that would be the same for BH3.

[Give me a minute.] Sister Orb reaccessed the Werdlem Network. After the twins were registered as Divinity Realm Experts from Runia with the conclusion of the Future Realm, they got access to a lot more information available for experts of that level. Well, they didn’t really need it, nor were they with Runia anymore, but it was good that they could access those things with their IDs.

[Alright, found it.]
