Death… And Me

Chapter 4128: Recurrence

Chapter 4128: Recurrence

One hundred and ninety-six years later, Universe E101...

*Clang...*

*KABOOM!*

*Arrrghhh!!!*

A Crystal Void Intent Scythe and Sword suddenly struck! Hubrus, the Universe Owner, felt his Universe Root Egg shaking inside his Pocket Dimensional Realm as the Dimensional Realm itself began to collapse!

Then, a ridiculously gigantic amount of Divine Origin Energy began to accumulate inside Hubrus, his connection to the Chaos Origin Source fuelling him nonstop against his will. It was way more than any Celestial Realm Expert should be able to take.

Rion, the sole reason behind that strike, kicked Hubrus's body away, turning around.

Behind them, Kentucky already had a Spatial Gate prepared, and the two shot inside. Travelling through the Spatial Gate took a tiny fraction of a second, and they came out in a region not too far from where Rion struck down the E101 Universe Owner.

There, they saw Hick and Nyxara working with Celis, seemingly preparing to destroy some kind of barrier.

"Did you do it?!" Hick asked them.

Rion nodded, and in the next second, his body broke into two parts. Then, Rean and Roan separated from each other, their fusion ending. "Get ready! Spatial Gates won't work anymore after this! The Space is too chaotic!"

Right after, from the direction of Rean, Roan, and Kentucky appeared, a world-ending wave of energy quickly approached. It was the energy created by the destruction of a Universe Owner as his Universe Root Egg forced its way out to rejoin the Universe itself.

"Hick! Nyxara!" Celis called them.

The two Primordial Demon Beasts activated their innate abilities, creating a kind of hollow channel with walls secured by an impenetrable boundary!

Celis's roots, which were spread over tens of thousands of kilometers, began to emanate the Celestial Laws of Absorption. Celis also used his World Swallowing Cedar's Innate Absorption capabilities on top of that.

The wave of energy that penetrated that channel was funneled in Celis's roots' direction. He used his ability to redirect all that enormous amount of energy to a single point.

*Ugh!*

Even Celis found it hard to control so much energy at once, and that was only a fraction of the energy being released by Hubrus's death as the Universe Owner. However, countless Circuitry Formations Runes were activated, and Celis managed to strike the barrier!

*Crack, crack, crack...*

*Bang!*

"It's open! Let go!" Rean shouted, his mind focused on the formation he had prepared beforehand.

*Wrack!*

Celis detached himself from those roots, roots that he spent several months growing. And yet, he let it all go in one instant and without remorse.

Hick and Nyxara shouted in the direction of the barrier opening. "Tharos! It is now or never!"

*Rumble!*

*Bang!*

*Crack, crack, crack...*

A creature that looked like a behemoth slammed against the opening, increasing the cracks around it several times wider. "Your stability is gone! Get out of my way!"

That was, without a doubt, Tharos, the Pillar of Stability! He was also known as the Graven Archon!

*KABLANG!*

The cracks grew bigger and exploded into many huge fragments of energy. The behemoth creature was obviously being held behind that barrier, and now he was out. Still, the energy of the Universe's owner's death was only increasing, and since this was a Rank E Universe, the twins' group couldn't really use their real power. They all had their cultivations suppressed and a boundary from Hick envelopping them, so the Universe wouldn't expel everyone.

*Zush!*

Rean and Roan appeared by Tharos's side. "Don't resist!"

*Zush, zush, zush, zush, zush!*

Tharos, Kentucky, Rean, Hick, Celis, and Nyxara instantly disappeared inside the Celestial Soul Dimensional Realm. Only Roan remained, and the countermeasures Rean prepared to resist that energy disappeared. Roan turned around, snorting. That explosion, which carried an energy not too far from an Extinction Sphere, would easily kill him.

However, the boundary around Roan's cultivation disappeared at that very instant. His cultivation was also released, and it returned to its Peak Stage Celestial Realm.

The Universe's laws noticed Roan's presence immediately. Before the energy caused by Hubrus's death could kill Roan, the Universe itself acted!

*Zush!*

Roan disappeared without a trace, and the growing energy wave missed him completely. It only took a moment, and Roan appeared outside of Universe E101.

"Finally..." Roan was relieved. He looked around for a moment, seeing nothing wrong there. Following that, he entered the Celestial Soul Dimensional Realm.

Hick, Nyxara, and the other Primordial Demon Beasts, except for Laiana, who was hibernating, were all surrounding Tharos. In fact, they weren't the only ones.

Elyndra, the Pillar of Causality;

Vathrion, the Pillar of Karma;

Veloryx, the Pillar of Flow;

Those were another three Primordial Demon Beasts that the twins' group managed to set free after these years. Hick wasn't kidding when he said Soltrex was necessary to find the other beasts, and he did an amazing job. Tharos ended up being the second to last one if you didn't consider Default and Hyeoumu.

Elyndra was imprisoned in D65, in a kind of probability realm where her innate abilities as the Pillar of Causality couldn't be used to set her free. For that one, the twins used mostly the Celestial Soul System's processing power to help her get out. Her freedom earned the twins' group 37000 Celestial Points.

Then you had Vathrion, who was locked in a gap between different realms of the B22 Universe. That place was used to ensure he couldn't use Karma to his advantage. It was a gap where nothing should have existed, including Karma itself. Vathrion was by far the hardest to set free.

That's because the gap where Vathrion had been sealed was protected from the outside by Balance Breakers. The Werdlem Empire knew him well and was ready when the twins' group appeared. The first attempt to release him went completely wrong, and ultimately, Rean, Roan, and Celis had their bodies destroyed. Fortunately, they had the system's Body Reformation skill, so they didn't die.

Still, that turned into an advantage, as the Werdlem Empire didn't expect those three to be alive. Kentucky was 'seen' fleeing from the Universe with Hick, luring two Balance Breakers away. Thanks to that, Rean, Roan, and Celis joined forces with Nyxara and succeeded in getting Vathrion Free. The reward for that quest was 120000 Celestial Points!

Veloryx was a lot simpler, though. His rescue was only worth 19000 Celestial Points. That's because, just like Soltrex, Veloryx was imprisoned in a place even the Werdlem Empire was unaware of. The only difficulty with him was pinpointing his location. Soltrex spent the longest analyzing the information on the Werdlem Network about Veloryx, and even then, it was only to give the twins an approximation of where Veloryx was.

In the end, his rescue was also the one that took the longest, as the twins' group spent almost a hundred years searching the area that Soltrex pointed at. It actually should have taken even longer, but thanks to Soltrex again, the more information the twins' group got of that region, the easier it became for Soltrex to eventually narrow down Veloryx's location.

Finally, there was Tharos, the Pillar of Stability, which they released just now.

His 'prison,' if you could really call it that, was based on the power of the E101's Universe Root Egg. The twins' group tried several methods, but without the Universe Root Egg, that prison simply couldn't be destroyed. It was the power of the Universe itself that held him inside. And the twins couldn't use their real cultivations due to the limitations of a Rank E Universe.

In the end, the twins could only do one thing. They had to fight the Universe Owner, Hubrus. To fight inside E101, where they couldn't use their Celestial Realm cultivations, while Hubrus could, was anything but easy. Hubrus could use the full power of a Celestial and also had the Universe's support on top of that.

Rean and Roan had to use every method at their disposal to bring him down, including their system abilities. Yin Yang Cultivation Unbalance Domain, Yin Yang Body Fusion, Yin-Yang Reversal Seal, and so on. In that one battle alone, they spent over thirty thousand Celestial Points!

*Pin!*

[Congratulations, hosts! Tharos, the Pillar of Stability, has been released.]

[Reward: 21000 Celestial Points.]

Rean and Roan looked at each other. The difficulty didn't really match the reward this time. After using their system skills a few times during the various rescues, their total amount of Celestial Points was now 144301.

Did it look expensive? Weren't they supposed to be close to 197000? You bet they were! Unfortunately, things changed... That's because once they got to the Celestial Realm, the price to use the Body Fusion and the Yin Yang Cultivation Unbalance Domain also increased by a hundred times! The body fusion now costs 1000 Celestial Points to be kept for a minute, and so does the Cultivation Unbalance Domain.

Still, given the advantages gained from such abilities, it was definitely understandable. It would actually be weird if these abilities could still give such an enormous advantage against other Celestial Realm Experts with their old prices.

"So, only three remaining, right?" Rean commented.

And Roan nodded. "Default and Hyeoumu can't be reached now, though. Which leaves just one."

Rean didn't forget it.

"Aurethra, the Pillar of Recurrence."
