Chapter 4536: Coyui’s Situation

-Do not look at the ring! They might notice it as well,- said the voice on the other side. -It is physically touching you, so you can send your Celestial Sense into it to communicate with me. Try it out.-

Coyui was still being brought toward the center of the room, so he had a few seconds before he would have to say anything. What was touching his feet was a Ring Communicator. Rean had used the commotion near the entrance to quickly approach Coyui and place the ring by his feet without anyone noticing.

It was truly convenient that no one could spread their Celestial or Godly Senses throughout Woster.

Another good thing was that RCs used Celestial and Godly Senses to connect the users to the communicators themselves. That said, conversations through RCs were practically instantaneous, just like using Celestial and Godly Sense messages directly.

’Ar-Are you hearing me?’ Coyui finally gave it a try.

-Yes, I’m hearing you. Well done!-

’Rean!!!’ Coyui finally identified the voice inside his mind. ’Fuck! I remember you telling me about this thing, but I didn’t think it was this good! How are we even talking to each other?’

-Forget about that,- Rean immediately cut him off. -You haven’t answered my question yet. We sent you out of Woster. How did you come back? First of all, didn’t you say you didn’t want to stay here? Why did you return?-

’Like hell I did!’ Coyui almost lost his cool. Fortunately, he managed to keep his expression under control. ’I thought it was you all who betrayed me and messed with that teleport array or whatever! I’ve never made it out of Woster!’

-What?!- Rean was genuinely taken aback. -That can’t be! We used the exact same Teleport Array that we used to get here! We even used the same Key! How come you weren’t teleported out?!-

’How the hell would I know?!’ Coyui felt completely helpless. ’I simply appeared inside another one of those sealed vaults. It took me days just to start breaking the exit, but then it was blasted open by a High Elder of the Rosvelt Sect! You sent me into some kind of important, isolated location of the Rosvelt Sect instead!’

-This...-

Rean tried to remember every detail of the teleport array, but he truly couldn’t figure out how Coyui hadn’t been sent outside Woster. Everything had been the same. The array was the same one they had used to enter Woster, and they had even activated it with the same tablet.

-This is bad,- Rean finally admitted. -Anyway, what have you told them?-

’What do you think?’ Coyui didn’t bother hiding the truth. ’I thought you had fooled me and sent me to my death, so why should I keep any information to myself? I obviously told them everything I knew about you.’

Coyui paused for just a moment before adding, ’No, who am I trying to fool? Even if I hadn’t believed you tricked me, I would still have told them everything. Who the hell would hold back against the Rosvelt Sect? Don’t you dare blame me for that!’

Rean’s mouth twitched.

But then again, their relationship with Coyui had always been little more than business. Coyui had helped protect them while they adapted to Woster, and they had agreed to send him out as payment for that help. There had never been any deep trust between them to begin with.

If anything, Rean felt that his group was the one who had failed to uphold their side of the agreement. They had promised to send Coyui out of Woster. Instead, they had unknowingly teleported him into the hands of the Rosvelt Sect.

-So they know everything about us, huh?- Rean pondered for a moment.

At the same time, he connected to Kentucky, Celis, and Roan through their Soul Connection, quickly explaining everything that had happened.

’We all have to change our appearances,’ Rean concluded.

’I’ll contact Arcis and Thery’s group,’ Kentucky immediately said.

’I was going to change my appearance anyway,’ Roan added.

’I’m almost ready to scramble the energy flow, so this is as good an opportunity as any,’ Celis said.

While Kentucky used the RC network to contact the others, Rean continued talking with Coyui.

-Alright, it is a fact that we messed up with your teleportation, even though we had no idea you would actually be sent to another vault instead. Perhaps there is some kind of blockage to real residents from Woster, who knows?-

’And why should I believe you?’ Coyui was still skeptical.

-Are you crazy? I’m literally contacting you directly!- Rean complained. -Do you know the risk I took to put that Ring Communicator by your feet without anyone noticing? Why would I waste my time on you if we had truly betrayed you on purpose? Does that make any sense in your mind?-

’This...’

Coyui stopped for a moment.

Indeed, the simple fact that they were talking now proved that the twins’ group hadn’t expected him to be captured by anyone, let alone the Rosvelt Sect. Rean had taken the risk of approaching him inside one of the most powerful organizations in Dlaval City just to place that Ring Communicator by his feet.

If they had deliberately betrayed him, there was no reason for them to do any of that.

’Fine, I’ll believe you for now,’ Coyui finally accepted. ’I also told them everything I knew, so I guess I don’t have much of a right to complain either. What now?’

-What do you mean, what now?- Rean asked back. -Do you expect us to save you from under the nose of the Rosvelt Sect? You know very well we only have two Law Gods, and they can only display the strength of Initial Stage ones. What exactly do you think we can do against Rosvelt and their more than a thousand Law Gods? I’m not even counting all the other experts who haven’t reached the Law God Realm yet.-

’Wait! You can’t just abandon me here!’ Coyui complained. ’I’m in this situation because of you!’

-He said he appeared in a secret location of the Rosvelt Sect. That happened after using the same teleport array we used to come to Woster. That can’t be a coincidence. Besides, the Godly Pressure he talked about...-

Rean’s eyes immediately lit up.

He understood exactly what Roan was thinking.

The enormous concentration of Godly Pressure inside Woster was most likely connected to the Womb and the Goslau Great Void Echo. Since the secret location where Coyui had appeared contained even more Godly Pressure than the rest of Woster itself, there was a very good chance that it was somehow connected to their own quest.

Rean quickly returned his attention to Coyui.

-Coyui, where is this secret location you talked about? Have you seen anything of it on your way out?-

’Hum?’ Coyui pondered for an instant. ’I couldn’t see anything. I was blinded on my way out. However...’

Coyui paused as he tried to remember.

’I could still feel things. What I can tell for certain is that I was basically brought upward for quite a while. There were a few turns, but it felt more like I was going in circles. Upward and in circles... I think...’

The twins’ group immediately remembered the enormous pillar at the center of the meeting hall.

Coyui was most likely sent somewhere beneath the Rosvelt Sect.

To be more specific, the pillar inside the meeting hall was probably only a small part of something much larger. If Coyui’s sensations were correct, then whatever secret location the Rosvelt Sect had been hiding could extend much, much farther underground. And right now... The twins’ group was standing directly above it.

’What are you planning to do?’ Coyui asked, suddenly feeling uneasy.

-Hold tight!- Rean answered. -We will try something first. If it works, you might feel the same kind of Spatial Pull that you felt when you teleported. When that happens, don’t fight it. Understood?-

’How long until then?’ Coyui asked.

-Who knows?- Rean didn’t lie. -For now, don’t lie to the Rosvelt Sect. Whatever they ask, answer truthfully. The only thing you absolutely can’t tell them is about our conversation just now. If that happens, then we truly won’t be able to do anything.-

Rean’s tone became more serious. -We can’t be found. Make sure to hide the RC with your feet as well and report to us from time to time during this meeting. Just step on it or whatever. Don’t let anyone notice it.-

’I guess I have no other choice,’ Coyui accepted.

At this point, trusting the twins’ group was probably his best option. They might not have enough power to fight the Rosvelt Sect directly, but at least they were trying to do something. Coyui certainly couldn’t escape from his current situation on his own.

Rean finally turned toward Celis outside. "Are you ready?"

"Yes," Celis confirmed.

Rean nodded. "Then start scrambling the energy flow."
