Chapter 6088, Reporting to Yang Kai
Author: Silavin
When Yang Xu saw this portal, her eyes opened wide in disbelief. This was the first time she was seeing a tear in Space portraying its exit so vividly.
She took her first step through it and appeared directly outside, on the platform in the centre of their dorm. She even looked back to see that the portal was still there, and was not closing. It was as though this was just part of Space now. It was no longer a tear but an actual entrance, like a built door. Thus, there was no damage to Space and there was no need for any repairs.
In fact, when she moved through it, she could clearly feel that she did not even move through the Void. This portal was completely dissociated to the Void.
[Brother… you really did it…] Yang Xu praised in her heart and turned towards the room on the opposite side. Then, unexpectedly, an answer came. It was not from her Brother’s room but from the portal itself.
“Long time no see.” It was a familiar voice, one which she had missed for an entire month. One which she could never forget even if this was another life. Yang Xu turned to look through the portal and saw Yang Ji, in another portal connected to her room, having an exhausted smile…
For some reason, tears started to well up in her eyes as she dashed through the two portals like a bolt of lightning.
Seeing this, Yang Ji immediately opened his arms up and sighed. He even used his new mastery over the Dao of Space to harden the Space behind him as the collision came.
*Bang!* Though a hug, it might as well be classified as an attack. Yang Xu certainly did not hold back as she used all her strength to rush up to her Brother. Yang Ji believes that if he did not prepare for impact, she might actually send him through the wall.
Still, with her Brother now in her arms, Yang Xu wrapped around him like no tomorrow as she unrestrainedly cried on his shoulder, mucus even coming out.
“Sheesh. You are making my clothes dirty.” Yang Ji complained but Yang Xu just shook her head, not letting go.
“She has besieged me ceaselessly during your absence from one another. Ensure that you compensate her for the entirety of that time apart.” The Heavenly Demon Queen spoke in her head and quickly ignored the both of them, as though this was no longer her problem, and that seeing these two were a pain in the eyes.
Since even the ever quiet Heavenly Demon Queen had spoken up, Yang Ji could only relent.
…
After a few hours. In fact, when the sun was about to set, Yang Xu had finally let go. Her Brother had basically turned into a wooden statue, not moving and letting her do as she pleased. He just focused on cultivating while passing the time.
Once she let go, Yang Ji finally opened his eyes and exclaimed, “Got that out of your system?”
Yang Xu however, defiantly shook her head. Giving a *hmph!*.
Still, being Siblings, Yang Ji just shrugged and grabbed her hand. Then, they teleported out of the room and up into the sky.
When Yang Xu looked down, she saw that the portal into her room was closed. This was most likely done by her Brother, who must have realised that her room would be unprotected if it had been left open. Not to mention, their classmates were heading back from school around this time…
“First, we would need to report to Mother, then tell Father.” Yang Ji said.
“Tell Father about what?” Though it was not strange for them to report to their Mother, Su Yan, after they were done with their secluded cultivation, it felt odd needing to report to their Father. After all, Yang Kai was typically away or busy most of the time.
“You forgot to reconnect to me…” Yang Ji sighed and reminded her. [Honestly, for those few hours, you’ve been hugging me non-stop but you actually forgot to reconnect our thoughts and memories.]
“Oh…” Yang Xu, a little embarrassed that her emotional outburst had caused her to forget something so important, quickly did as she was told.
She had temporarily forgotten that the connection between the two of them could be closed by either side at will. However, it had to also be opened by the side that closed it. This was how Yang Xu and Yang Ji could keep some semblance of privacy. Though, truth be told, Yang Ji hardly bothered closing his connection to Yang Xu while Yang Xu did it often, especially during the ‘female council gathering’…
Soon, Yang Ji’s memories flooded Yang Xu’s mind and even she furrowed her brows, “Brother… isn’t this…”
Yang Ji gave a nod with a sad sigh. “To think that everything we’ve done so far has been limited and wrong…”
“But, from your experience, Father must have known about this, no?” Yang Xu said.
“I believe so. Father once mentioned about the Taboo Realm… I think that place might have something to do with this.” Yang Ji said as he looked into the distance. Now, he truly felt that the world was so vast and he was so small. He was no different to a frog in a well.
“In that case, we should first report to Father. Actually… there is another problem that I failed to mention…” Yang Xu scratched her face in awkwardness. She tend send her memories over to Yang Ji, which causes him to frown.
“Wait. Lei Ao still isn’t awake? How is that possible? And then, because of me, Red Clouds Cave Heaven has been complaining to Father, souring our relationship?” Yang Ji mourned. His two birds in one stone plan had fallen through. Worse, he might really receive punishment for this…
“Brother, him not being able to free himself is something Mother Ji Yao would describe as his lack of ability. You’ve bestowed upon him such a great opportunity but he had been too inept to accept it. That is not your fault, and I don’t think Father and Red Clouds Cave Heaven can really fault you for that.” Yang Xu said, trying to say that he had not done anything wrong.
“Regardless, it is my fault that I failed to assess how long it would take him to break free. Okay, let’s talk to Father first.” Yang Ji said as they teleported once more, this time into the Principal’s office.
…
At this time, Yang Kai had his hand on his forehead and he paced around to think of a solution. Beside him was Su Yan, who was advising him.
Then, the two suddenly felt Space Principles fluctuate and turn their attention to the corner of the room. Soon, two familiar figures appeared.
Su Yan, who was not bothered by the problem in the slightest, bloomed into a smile as it seemed like all worries in her heart had been lifted. As for Yang Kai, he sighed in relief. However, soon, his eyes narrowed as he was about to open his mouth, but soon shut close because Su Yan gave him a sharp look.
Yang Ji and Yang Xu soon entered this seemingly tense atmosphere with wide eyes.
Yang Xu, the ever cunning girl, quickly ran to their Mother, “Mom!”
She opened her arms wide, as though she was the most precious little thing in the world, seeking for her Mother’s ever loving embrace. As for Yang Ji, he was a little late in acting in a similar fashion, and was mostly prompted to do so by his Sister.
Through their Divine Sense, “Brother, please let Mom handle this. It is a blessing that she is inside the room.”
“Yeah, but we are already twelve, you know? Aren’t you a little embarrassed to do this same tactic?” Yang Ji asked back. At this point, it was strange for him to say this while burying his face in Su Yan’s arm, hugging both his Sister and Su Yan in a big embrace.
“If Yang Ai can do it, why can’t we?” Yang Xu shot back.
“She’s only six…” Yang Ji lamented.
Seeming those two cunning devils tactically go to his Wife first, the corner of Yang Kai’s lip twitched. [Cunning! Too cunning! Where did these two learn this from!?]
Still, Yang Kai had to play his role as the Father here and hold his foot down. ”Yang Ji, do you know what you did wrong?”
However, before Yang Ji answered, it was Su Yan who said, “Husband, like I said before, our Son did nothing wrong. He gave the boy an opportunity and that’s it. There is no need to agree with what Red Clouds Cave Heaven is requesting of him.”
“*Haa…* This won’t do. He passed on not just his insights in the Dao of Space but the Dao of Time as well. Even if he is still just a child, he needs to properly see this through to the end. Red Clouds Cave Heaven would fully recognise him, all 36 Cave Heavens and 72 Paradises would as well.” Yang Kai said, expressing his frustration.
When Yang Ji heard this, he felt something was off. [Wait. Is this so serious that the 36 Cave Heavens and 72 Paradises are going to punish me for this?]
Even Yang Xu, who heard what Yang Kai had said, started to get nervous.
“Then, let’s wait for Lei Ao to wake up first before making such a massive decision.” Su Yan added.
[Wait, massive decision for what!?] Yang Ji could already feel his back turn cold with sweat.
“If we could, I would prefer that as well. But, his Father and Mother have already declared that Yang Ji will be Lei Ao Master going forth, and that Yang Ji will have the same status as them…” Yang Kai said with a sigh.
[Huh?] At this point, Yang Ji and Yang Xu had their mouths open, They were confused.
[How did things turn out like this?]
