Chapter 1762: Entangled

Li Luo had yet another burden fall on his shoulders. The two Divine Fruit Heavenly Emperors were probably the most precious legacies left behind the unstoppable Sacred Void Resonance Sect.

Qi Huang clasped his fist and solemnly said, "Federation Chief Li Luo, the situation is critical, and it concerns the survival of the ten divine continents. I hope you can do your best."

Li Luo nodded. "My family owes you two seniors a great favor, so for both personal reasons and for the greater good, I'll naturally do my utmost to ensure that the two of you can safely leave the Spiritual Resonance Cave and live on."

He understood how important Yan Changsheng and Su Ying were, and if news of their survival were to spread to the Heavenly Emperors of the divine continents, they would undoubtedly celebrate in joy.

Su Ying nodded in agreement before turning to Li Luo and Jiang Qing'e. "The two of you should remain here to absorb and refine the Withering Glory Heart Lotus. You must comprehend the meaning of 'wither' and 'glory' and strive to obtain your own withering glory resonances before the final battle."

Li Luo and Jiang Qing'e both nodded. The next three years would be peaceful outside. The Shadow World had suffered a grievous loss with the deaths of all of the Ten Devil Kings of Sin. As a result, there weren't any forces that were capable of mounting any attacks.

"The two of you can cultivate in peace here. I'll settle everything on the outside," said Li Taixuan.

The group then lingered for a while longer before Li Taixuan, Qi Huang, and the Golden Winged Peng Elder left the Spiritual Resonance Cave. After all, there were many things to do and very little time. The Shadow World had retreated, but there were still many Other Dominions laying around. Those locations had to be dealt with quickly to prevent any more lives from being lost.

Su Ying enthusiastically led the way for Jiang Qing'e and Li Luo, chortling happily as she told them all of the interesting things that happened when Tantai Lan was cultivating here in her youth. They were very interested in those stories and thus listened attentively.

After chatting for a while, Yan Changsheng waved his hand, causing a green mountain peak to rise up from the ground with a rumble, piercing through the skies and stopping just a short distance away from the Withering Glory Heart Lotus. The only thing on the mountain peak was a simple and rustic bamboo hut.

"In the coming days, whenever you feel weary, the two of you can rest in that hut," Su Ying said considerately.

"Thank you, Seniors," said Li Luo and Jiang Qing'e.

Yan Changsheng and Su Ying smiled at them, then they held hands and vanished, leaving the young couple to their own devices.

When the two seniors left, Li Luo and Jiang Qing'e finally relaxed. They then looked at each other, seeing the fatigue in each other's eyes. The decisive battle on the Heavenly Star Plains had indeed been extremely taxing on them. They had fought consecutive intense battles, and despite their strength and foundations, they were absolutely exhausted.

Li Luo grabbed Jiang Qing'e's slender hand, sitting down with her at the edge of the cliff. They stared at the Withering Glory Heart Lotus, which was shrouded in the sea of clouds just a short distance away. Its surface was bathed in the glow of sunset, causing it to look absolutely magical.

"Huh, what? Damn it!" Li Luo, who was engrossed in a rare moment of peace, almost wanted to spit out a mouthful of blood upon hearing that question. He hurriedly explained, "The situation was tense at that time. Both she and I were consumed by our lust, and our minds were hazy. It was never my intention!"

Mockery could be seen in Jiang Qing'e's clear eyes. "Li Luo, oh, Li Luo... I never expected you to have such a kink."

She then pulled herself close to his ear, her red lips parting slightly as her warm breath tickled his ear, imparting a tingling sensation. Jiang Qing'e's voice, which carried a hint of seductiveness, softly travelled into his ears. "Then do you want me to call you 'master'?"

These words sent a shiver all the way into his heart and made his scalp tingle. His mouth dried up instantly as well. After so many years, this was the first time he had seen Jiang Qing'e take the initiative to charm him in such an enchanting way. However, her face was still as flawless and pure as before.

He shuddered as he said in a trembling voice, "If you really want to, I wouldn't mind."

What happened next, however, wasn't what he expected. He felt a piercing pain on his neck as Jiang Qing'e had lightly bitten him. He took a deep breath before saying, "Just a little harder."

Jiang Qing'e wasn't planning to do as he wished—she attempted to untangle herself from him. However, Li Luo kept his arm firmly wrapped around her and pulled her completely into his arms, holding her in his embrace horizontally.

"Girl, you're playing with fire," he whispered.

That said, his gaze was burning like an erupting volcano as he stared at her beautiful features. Her pretty face was flushed red, but she did not shy away, instead boldly glaring back. After experiencing a period of separation and countless life-and-death battles, they both understood that there was a need to vent their emotions.

He licked his lips and grinned, saying, "Sister Qing'e, do you still remember what Mother said before she left? She said... that she wanted to hold her grandchild."

After that, he carried her to the bamboo hut. Jiang Qing'e was curled up in his arms, and her golden eyes were filled with intense longing. However, right outside the hut, she suddenly whispered, "Li Luo, will we win?"

Before they entered, he paused and gave her a nonchalant smile. "If we can't win, then I'm willing to die together."

They embraced each other time and time again without rest.

Five days later, Yan Changsheng and Su Ying appeared outside the bamboo hut. They glanced at each other awkwardly, unsure of what was to come. In the end, Su Ying said, "We've been rotting away in the Spiritual Resonance Cave for far too long. Don't you think it's finally time to do something meaningful?"

The door was pushed open at that moment. Feeling refreshed, the energetic and radiant Li Luo stepped out. He looked at the Withering Glory Heart Lotus and let out a long howl. "I'm ready to go all-out!"
