Chapter 1787: Divine Fruit Domain

A battle between Heavenly Emperors was a long and extended encounter, as the expenditure of Authority would not conclude in just a single day. On top of that, no one possessed more life force than Heavenly Emperors. Even if one's body was ruined, reduced merely to scattered chunks of flesh and blood, as long as their Authority was not destroyed, they would eventually reabsorb sufficient amounts of that power to revive. Thus, truly killing a Heavenly Emperor was no mean feat.

The only thing a Heavenly Emperor had to fear was another Heavenly Emperor with a Divine Fruit. This was because Divine Fruit Heavenly Emperors possessed a unique killing move—they could transform their Divine Fruits into Divine Fruit Domains.

Divine Fruit Domains were sealed worlds, and Heavenly Emperors that were trapped within would have their connection with the outer world severed. After which, they would be suppressed by their foe's Divine Fruit Authority, grinding away at their own Authority. If one could not escape, they would eventually be exhausted and die. This was the greatest advantage Divine Fruit Heavenly Emperors held over the others.

Nine Snakes had exchanged blows with countless Heavenly Emperors over the years. As a result, it was quite experienced with the ways of battle. It would first use its superior power to neutralize Li Luo's first wave of attacks. Afterwards, taking advantage of the momentary weakness, it would activate its Divine Fruit Domain and suck him in, wearing him down.

Within the Snake Vessel World, countless snake heads were sticking out of the walls, each spitting out blood-red fog. The fog felt heavy and sticky, containing Nine Snakes' Divine Fruit Authority. As a result, it possessed a terrifying erosion force.

Li Luo's face grew visibly solemn upon realizing the situation he was in. He could sense danger all around him, far more than the battle on the Heavenly Star Plains. A Divine Fruit Grand Devil King was truly a thorny opponent.

Behind him, the void rumbled and the Absolute Resonance Halo appeared once again. Six resonant palaces and twelve resonant powers began to shine with dazzling divine light, all of which started to fuse together before pouring into the flame cauldron in the middle of the halo. A moment later, large amounts of Greater Void Resonance Flame poured out.

The vast sea of flames crashed into blood fog all around him. Even the void seemed to melt away during this clash.

Nine Snakes walked out of the fog and looked at Li Luo with a smirk. "You might have four Authorities and a considerable amount of power, but do you really think you're capable of outlasting me when you're trapped in my Divine Fruit Domain?"

Both of them possessed vast amounts of power. However, this was contingent on the fact that they were connected with the outer world. Now that Li Luo was isolated, he would eventually run out of the power of Authority over time. He needed a Divine Fruit Authority of his own if he wanted to tear a hole in the opponent's Divine Fruit Domain to escape.

"I don't know if I can outlast you... but I know that I can outlast many other Heavenly Emperors in the same situation," Li Luo indifferently retorted.

The Absolute Resonance Halo began to turn and rumble, and the ten primordial divine seals began to blaze with blinding light. This caused it to look absolutely saintly while giving off an air of grandeur.

The twelve resonant powers within the halo began to spin, merging with each other as though in an endless cycle. He had lost his connection with the outer world and all the energy it provided, but with twelve resonances and the Absolute Resonance Halo, he could create a minor world of his own with their fusion. This was yet another benefit of having so many resonances.

Nine Snakes' crimson eyes icily flickered as it coldly snorted, "You're only capable of buying a little more time for yourself."

Behind it, the nine blood serpent tails opened their mouths and spat out streams of rotting flesh with the acrid stench of blood. The liquid flesh mixed with the blood fog and crashed into the raging sea of flames that surrounded Li Luo.

Sizzle!

Thick plumes of smoke wafted into the air, containing a poisonous gas created from the power of Authority. The poison was incredibly tyrannical, capable of annihilating even the source origin of Kings.

Under the relentless full-force suppression of Nine Snakes, Li Luo's Greater Void Resonance Flame Sea was starting to weaken. He could sense immense pressure looming above him as he slowly closed his eyes, fully activating the Absolute Resonance Halo. He once again took advantage of his twelve resonant powers to fuel his power of Authority, protecting himself.

Nine Snakes didn't speak any superfluous words as its serpentine eyes coldly focused on Li Luo's every action. It continued to rouse its Divine Fruit Authority again and again, relentlessly grinding away at the latter's power of Authority.

It now held the advantage, and once its opponent was weakened, it could draw the Divine Fruit Domain back into its body, sealing and slowly eroding Li Luo. Its true body would then be free to run rampant, destroying the East Divine Continent's Immemorial World Divine Devil Trapping Formation.

The Snake Vessel World was almost completely silent, with only the sounds of Authority grinding away at each other echoing softly.

While Li Luo was facing an imminent crisis inside Nine Snakes' Divine Fruit Domain, the other pinnacle experts were fighting their own battles.

Heavenly Emperors and Grand Devil Kings unleashed their full power and all their trump cards, engaging in battles with intensity and scale that hadn't been seen for tens of thousands of years.

Central Core Divine Continent, the location of Heavenly Emperor Jiang and Sightless Underworld's faceoff.

The flames of war covered every inch of the divine continent as Heavenly Emperors and Kings battled frenetically. From time to time, astonishing phenomena would appear, signifying the downfall of a King Stage expert.

As both sides warred, Heavenly Emperor Jiang and Sightless Underworld were sitting cross-legged in the sky above. They weren't very far apart, and their expressions seemed relatively peaceful, like two old friends having a light conversation over tea.

However, there was a dark rift between them. If any other Heavenly Emperors were present, they would be able to sense the terrifying fluctuations within it. There were two streams of light exuding immense fluctuations of power inside, constantly clashing time and time again. The cores of the two streams of light were Divine Fruits.

One was verdant emerald in color, containing lush trees, some as large as mountains. Immeasurable amounts of life force surged within it, as though it was capable of creating a world filled with life. The other was inky black, akin to a black hole, devouring every speck of light.

Both Divine Fruits gave off the aura of perfection, as though they were the finest works of their creators, with no flaw to be found. Every time the Divine Fruits clashed, a shockwave created from the worldly natural energy of the Central Core Divine Continent would ripple outwards, the ensuing tempest filling every corner of the land.

Heavenly Emperor Jiang and Sightless Underworld had clashed countless times in the past few thousand years, so they had a deep understanding of each other and knew that they could only wear each other down over time. It was impossible to determine the victor in a single day. Thus, Sightless Underworld was full of smiles as it stretched out a hand to lightly stroke the four wailing heads hanging around its neck.

"Heavenly Emperor Jiang, one of these heads belonged to a Heavenly Emperor of the previous generation of the Academic Federation, correct? I believe he can be considered your teacher," it gently said.

Heavenly Emperor Jiang focused on one of the dessicated heads, and his eyes overflowed with murderous intent and fury. However, he gradually calmed himself down, then he lowered his eyes and softly replied, "My teacher might have fallen, but he bought us a lot of time during the last great war. It allowed me to reach the end of my cultivation path. All of the living creatures of the divine continents will remember his achievements."

Sightless Underworld smirked. "It's a pity that the divine continents will be destroyed by this Origin Reversion War."

"Perhaps the world that will come to an end will be the Shadow World," Heavenly Emperor Jiang retorted.

"If even the last Sect Master of the Sacred Void Resonance Sect was unable to accomplish that, then how could you? Once our Lord revives, everything will belong to us. Furthermore, it looks like the Shadow World has the advantage across the divine continents right now," Sightless Underworld replied with another smile.

It flicked a finger, causing white eyeballs to emerge from its flesh. Each eye projected what was happening across the other battlefields, where the peak combatants of each side were fighting.

Sightless Underworld then pointed at a specific eyeball as it said, "Li Taixuan and Tan Tailan are merely Three Authority Heavenly Emperors. Even if they join hands, how could they possibly match a Divine Fruit Grand Devil King? I doubt they will win."

Heavenly Emperor Jiang's attention was drawn towards the scene of the couple defending the Whitespirit Divine Continent. They were currently locked in combat against the Myriad Bones Grand Devil King.
