Chapter 3187: A ConspiracyEditor: Nyoi-Bo Studio
The galaxy.
"Boom!!!"
Before the fleet had fully completed its jump, the flagship where Fang Heng was located suddenly emitted a violent explosion, and the entire ship shook violently.
Not only the flagship, but all the fleet’s branch ships also trembled violently.
"What’s happening?"
The operators checked the instrument data, and their faces instantly changed. One of them shouted, "Report! Captain, the jump system has malfunctioned. The pre-designated jump coordinates are showing anomalous readings. The jump is being interfered with. We’ve activated the spatial energy barrier as an emergency measure."
"Why is this happening?"
"We’re not sure. The ship was checked before activation, and there were no anomalies. The jump system should not have any issues. How could this..."
Everyone in the main control room immediately became busy, inputting commands to stabilize the ship. "Maybe... maybe it’s just a coincidence, encountering a spatial storm or fluctuation..."
"Confirmed. The jump passage is experiencing spatial turbulence. Initiating emergency avoidance. Detected the V-29 planet’s space passage exit."
Captain Ronny immediately ordered, "Exit the jump passage first!"
"Yes!"
Nasir and Fang Heng exchanged a glance.
Something felt off.
Was it really just a mechanical failure or a spatial fluctuation?
Another violent shake struck, and the fleet, enveloped in an energy barrier, stumbled out of the space passage, levitating in the galaxy.
All the ships, without exception, suffered serious damage during the spatial transmission.
The operators broke out in cold sweat.
At least they had survived.
Captain Ronny’s face darkened. He immediately asked, "Report on damage. Check the ship’s status. Review the internal logs and investigate the cause thoroughly."
"Yes!"
"Captain, detection complete. Our jump route intersected with a spawns’ ship route. During the pre-designated jump, multiple spatial fluctuation points appeared. On top of that, we unfortunately encountered a violent spatial vortex. The ship’s jump system is now severely damaged and cannot be used further."
Ronny’s gaze grew colder as he asked, "Was it an accident?"
"The formation time of the vortex is uncertain. It could coincidentally have formed during our jump," an operator said nervously, shrinking his neck and sweating. "But the probability is extremely low..."
Nasir gave Fang Heng a look.
So coincidental?
Could it be the spawns were targeting him again?
The spawns possessed the most advanced interstellar navigation systems among all alliances in the Seven Realms Martial Capital. For this joint operation, everyone was using the spawns’ jump system for coordinated action.
Fang Heng shrugged at Nasir, a trace of cold killing intent flashing in his eyes.
No need to mention it.
Though there was no proof, he was certain the spawns were behind this.
"Captain, the ship is severely damaged. The current star domain still has persistent spatial fluctuations, and the defensive barrier cannot hold for long. We need to descend to the planet for repairs and avoid the turbulence."
"Additionally, we’ve established communication with headquarters. They instructed us to land in a nearby area, secure safety, and attempt repairs. The Noel Clan will also send reinforcements as soon as possible."
"Understood."
Ronny nodded lightly, but his face remained grim.
The Seed of Ouroboros crisis had broken out, and all the races were cooperating. To reach the battlefield faster and coordinate fleet positions, they had all been using the spawns’ jump network.
And the spawns had tampered with it?𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝐰𝚎𝕓𝐧𝚘𝘃𝗲𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝕞
Everyone knew Fang Heng and the spawns were at odds, but no one expected them to sabotage an entire ship at such a critical moment.
Just to get rid of Fang Heng?
Judging by the spawns’ usual methods, the Noel Clan had no prior defenses.
They couldn’t find any evidence at all.
Everything was done through the spawns’ transmission network. One thought was enough for them to erase any traces of manipulation, and externally, it could be explained as a low-probability accident.
But this wasn’t the time to argue about that.
The priority was survival.
Commander Ronny forced himself to stay calm and make the best decisions under the circumstances.
"Is the planetary scan complete?"
"Report! Detection of V-29 is ongoing. Six hours ago, the Seed of Ouroboros mutant worms appeared. Four hours ago, a spawns defense squad was stationed. One hour ago, due to a massive worm surge, the defense squad retreated. The planet has been designated as an evacuation zone."
"Currently, this planet is considered fully evacuated and is assumed to be occupied by the swarm, posing extreme danger."
"Captain, the defensive barrier’s energy is below 10%. We are detecting imminent spatial turbulence. We must descend to the planet immediately."
D*mn it!
Captain Ronny cursed silently.
He had already decided: next time, he would never use a spawns’ jump system again.
"Descend to the planet and start repairing the jump and spatial warp systems. Also, the planet has mutant worm life forms. Everyone on alert, prepare for combat!"
"Yes!"
Conspiracy!
Captain Ronny’s face was dark and fearsome.
He was now certain this was entirely the spawns’ scheme.
Hovering in orbit was a death trap. The only chance of survival was to land.
And the planet was already covered by a sea of worms. What chance did they have?
"Everyone, I’m sure you’ve heard. The ship is in critical condition. We must land on the planet immediately, but the entire planet is occupied by mutant worm creatures."
Ronny took a deep breath and looked at the martial artists and mercenaries in the control room. His gaze finally settled on Fang Heng.
"We need to forcibly break open a safe area and hold it against the swarm until the Noel Clan’s reinforcements arrive."
Elder Nute nodded. "Yes, that’s the only option. After the ship enters high orbit, our martial arts team will descend first. The ship will remain in high-altitude hover mode. Once we carve out a safe area in the swarm, we will land."
"Prepare."
A heavy atmosphere filled the main control room. The martial artists began organizing their equipment. Klaus and the group of youths were extremely nervous.
Who would have thought their first mission would be a matter of life and death?
Nasir whispered, "Fang Heng, looks like the spawns set us up."
"Mm, no need to worry. It’s not a big problem."
Fang Heng didn’t believe in coincidences.
This debt with the spawns would be settled.
But not now.
He looked out the ship’s window at the rapidly approaching planetary surface, a trace of excitement appearing in his eyes. He whispered, "Let’s go. Get ready to work. I’ll handle the elite creatures. You take care of the rest."
"Understood."
