Chapter 636 - 636 Guiding Father in Hell

636 Guiding Father in Hell

“Senior Brother, I understand your good intentions,” Meng Tian said, his lips curving into a smile. “But I became an Origin lifeform to marry Senior Sister.”

The middle-aged man was taken aback. “You became an Origin lifeform to marry someone?”

When did Origin lifeforms become so cheap?

Countless weak civilizations in the universe yearned to produce an Origin lifeform!

“I can’t say I admire your choice,” he mused. “But sometimes, it’s necessary to forget about gains and losses and just follow your heart.”

Meng Tian nodded.

Death? When his last name was still Qingyuan, he wasn’t afraid of death!

Earth.

Meng Tian and Xu Lixing took a walk by the lake.

“You just became an Origin lifeform, yet you rushed back to Earth?” Xu Lixing asked, a smile playing on her lips.

“Senior Sister.” Meng Tian stopped in his tracks and dropped to one knee, looking up at Xu Lixing with sincere eyes. “Will you marry me, Senior Sister?”

Xu Lixing was stunned.

“I know I’m not worthy of you, but I’ve always worked hard to become an Origin lifeform for you. I’m sorry it took me more than a thousand years.”

Xu Lixing was taken aback, tears welling in her eyes. “Meng Tian, don’t you know the rumors going around about my father being imprisoned and going crazy? You don’t know how many enemies he’s made.”

After being corrupted by high-dimensional powers, Xu Jingming often vented his pain. He had killed many people and provoked too many cosmic families.

“I don’t care,” Meng Tian said confidently. “I was created in a biological womb assembly line. What do I have to fear? I’m only afraid you won’t say yes.”

“If you marry me, you’ll be implicated in my father’s mess and you might die,” Xu Lixing warned.

“I’m an Origin lifeform. I’ll come back to life even if I die,” Meng Tian said with a smile.

“But you might not make the resurrection list,” Xu Lixing pointed out.

“My future father-in-law will make sure I do,” Meng Tian assured her.

Xu Lixing stared at Meng Tian, considering his words.

“I’ve thought through everything,” Meng Tian stated, his voice full of emotion. “You’re the most important person in my life, Senior Sister. Without you, I’m nothing.”

Meng Tian’s eyes lit up, feeling like he was in a dream.

He remembered the first time he met Xu Lixing, more than a thousand years ago. She had been sitting at his desk, smiling brightly without a care in the world.

“Junior Brother, are you pleasantly surprised?” she had asked, grinning at him.

The memory was etched into his soul, something he would never forget. He felt like he had gone from hell to heaven, and Xu Lixing was his angel.

And now, she had agreed to marry him.

“Senior Sister,” he said, getting up and pulling her into a tight embrace.

“There might be storms in the future,” Xu Lixing whispered.

“I promise to protect you, no matter what storms come our way in the future. And our children will have the last name ‘Xu,’ nothing to do with the Qingyuan family,” he added.

Xu Lixing nodded obediently, snuggled into his embrace. “I have to tell my mother and father about this.”

“Yeah.” Meng Tian nodded.

Li Miaomiao smiled at Xu Lixing and Meng Tian and gave her approval. “There’s no need to wait—let’s do it now. Your father won’t be back for a while.”

Thousands or tens of thousands of years? They didn’t know!

Li Miaomiao couldn’t bear the thought of her daughter waiting around indefinitely.

Jingming. Li Miaomiao missed her husband even more at this moment. Our daughter is getting married. When are you returning?

Inside the Spacetime Prison, Xu Jingming sat with disheveled hair and bloodshot eyes. His psychic powers reached out to the Primordial Star in higher dimensions.

“Master, your daughter sent you a letter,” Nine informed him.

“Oh?” Xu Jingming took a deep breath and calmed his raging aura.

The letter appeared before him, and he read it carefully. His expression changed as he realized. “Lixing is getting married?”

“Master, I’ve already sent a reply according to the template you gave me,” Nine said.

“Lixing is getting married, and I’m not there to see it,” Xu Jingming muttered. “I’m her father; how can I not be at her wedding?”

Xu Jingming’s surging emotions distorted spacetime with his mental strength. As he spoke, his emotions caused spacetime to twist and distort.

Energy waves rippled out and struck the walls of the prison, but it was completely unshakable. No matter how much force Xu Jingming put behind his attacks, he couldn’t even leave a mark on the walls.

Eventually, he calmed down and hung his head.

“Nine, I want to leave.”

“I’m sorry, Master, but you know that’s not possible,” Nine replied.

“My daughter is getting married. I have to be there. Please, you have to understand,” Xu Jingming pleaded.

“I’m sorry, Master, but I don’t have the authority to grant your release. You must acquire Heart Realm Force in order to leave this prison, as per the orders of the Paramounts,” Nine explained.

Xu Jingming’s calm eyes filled with scarlet rage as he unleashed his power in frustration. “I have to attend my daughter’s wedding. Do you not get it!?”

“I don’t have the authority.” Nine didn’t say anything else after saying that.

“Damn it, damn it, damn it.”

Dark Primordial Stars materialized in the air and crashed around Xu Jingming as he unleashed his strength wantonly. They were the culmination of 15 mental condensations, and the Dark Primordial Stars were terrifyingly powerful, but the prison remained unharmed.

He conjured a spear and attacked the walls with all his might, but still nothing.

“Lixing… Daddy wants to be at your wedding so badly,” Xu Jingming whispered through gritted teeth.

Days passed.

There are 19 days until my daughter’s wedding… Xu Jingming was counting down every single day. His determination and mental strength filled the prison like a physical force, radiating a bright red aura that seemed to ripple in the air.

There are seven days left.

Three more days. I really want to go.

My daughter’s wedding is tomorrow.

Xu Jingming whispered under his disheveled hair as he looked at the projection of letters from his daughter that he had received over the past 700 years.

The crazier he became, the more he fixated on these letters.

In the virtual world network of Lixing World, a dreamlike world filled with beautiful memories of Xu Lixing and Meng Tian.

Today was Xu Lixing’s wedding, and the event was packed with guests. Despite offending many factions due to the corruption by high-dimensional powers, Xu Jingming had many friends, and the Pearwood Group—which had been in operation for over a thousand years—also had a wide circle of acquaintances.

“The Pearwood Group sure knows how to send out invitations widely,” guests familiar with each other whispered to another at a table.

“Since they sent out the invitation, we had to come. To be honest, this new Origin lifeform named Meng Tian is really bold to marry Wu Ming’s daughter.”

“Huh?”

“Why are so many Origin lifeforms participating today?”

Suddenly, the guests noticed something strange. A large number of Origin lifeform guests were arriving.

“There are so many Lv. 10 Origin lifeforms!” one exclaimed.

“Why are there so many Lv. 10s?”

Some guests were extremely surprised.

Many Lv. 10 Origin lifeforms from top factions like the Primordial Research Institute, Eternal Academy, Spacetime Island, and more had suddenly appeared! Some had fought alongside Xu Jingming, while others were friends invited by Deputy Dean Redmond, Senior Brother Jane, Senior Brother Yijiu, Senior Brother Sakar, and others.

Deputy Dean Redmond’s influence was vast, and with just a simple message, he was able to gather hundreds of Lv. 10 Origin lifeforms for the occasion.

“Deputy Dean Redmond is the officiant?”

The guests were shocked to see Deputy Dean Redmond personally take the stage as the officiant.

Deputy Dean Redmond was a cosmic legend of the era, with one foot in the Paramount realm, so nobody expected him to be so involved in the wedding of Wu Ming’s daughter.

“In the blink of an eye, Xu Jingming’s daughter is getting married.” Tejano sighed as he watched the scene.

“When do you plan on getting married?” Redeye asked with a smile, sitting next to him.

“Me? There are so many civilizations in the universe with all kinds of schemes and plots waiting for me to fall into. Countless people… want to marry me.” Tejano shook his head. “Of course, I have to be extremely careful. My parents aren’t rushing me anyway.”

“Look, the couple is taking the stage,” Gu Shan said with a smile, and Senior Sister Moyu also looked up.

They all watched as if they were looking at a family member.

“Unfortunately, Xu Jingming isn’t here,” Tejano whispered. “He won’t get to see his daughter get married.”

“I’m sure Junior Brother Wu Ming will wish his daughter a happy marriage,” Gu Shan said.

In the Spacetime Prison, a bright red aura surrounded Xu Jingming as he sat cross-legged with his eyes closed. His long hair was disheveled, and he seemed emotionless as he softly muttered, “Daughter, I wish you a safe, happy, and carefree life. If I could, I would protect you with my life and make sure that no one or any faction ever hurts you. This is an oath I, Xu Jingming, swear on my life.”

“Happy marriage, Daughter.”

As Xu Jingming whispered, the red aura slowly faded away.

The prison was now quiet and peaceful.

Xu Jingming, sitting cross-legged in his prison cell, was calm and fearless.

A flower began to bloom in his mind.

In his own personal hell, where sewage flowed and filth was everywhere, a pure and untouched lotus flower bloomed, emitting a beautiful fragrance.

Xu Jingming opened his eyes, which were calm and pure.

“I’ve learned that the best way to deal with abnormal emotions isn’t to get lost in suffering and become part of it,” Xu Jingming whispered. “It’s to stay ‘untainted.’ No matter how dirty the mud gets, my heart stays pure!”

Abnormal emotions and chaotic thoughts. All the filth and corruption can only lead to a purer mind. Xu Jingming smiled. Daughter, thank you for guiding me through hell.
