Chapter 1651: A-Class Primal
Wang Wei’s Samsara Hall was an enormous black gate with a hidden dimension on the other side, with a black lake and a floating artificial embryo. Despite its simplicity, the amount of skill and resources invested in creating this was remarkable. So, after Li Xingwei said goodbye to everybody he cared about, he entered the gate.
However, as soon as he entered, the sky above the world changed, making Wang Wei sigh deeply. A black gate with designs of six life forms materialized in the sky, and when it opened, a towering black eye manifested.
[The Samsara Eye]
The entity, which is the physical manifestation of the Six Paths of Samsara, stared at Wang Wei and the small independent samsara for a few seconds. Then, it condensed a chain of rules that it forced into the hall. At that moment, the rules were rewritten. Li Xingwei was given an exception, but no one else can use this method from now on.
’Do you want to resist?’ a voice suddenly said in his ears, making Wang Wei ponder for a while.
’What will be the final result?’
’I can probably raise the limit, allowing only Great Emperors and below to use it,’ Maitreya replied.
’In that case, there is no need.’
’Are you worried about your grandma?’
’Yes,’ Wang Wei nodded. ’There is no point in affecting her elections when she’s so close to success.’
’I understand.’
After the lock, Wang Wei thought things would end, and this event would just be one of those situations in which he’s forced to swallow his anger. But to his surprise, the Samsara Eye condensed a thick cloud of merit and handed the largest portion to him, and the smaller ones to Li Xingwei and the other people who participated in this creation.
’That’s interesting,’ Wang Wei thought. The fact that the Samsara Eye can also hand out merit is new information, but the most interesting question is the reason. Merit is handed when an achievement or invention has a significant improvement or benefit to the world. Wang Wei thought his creation had affected the natural cycle of life and death, hence the restrictions. However, Samsara Eye seemed to indicate his creation was beneficial, but it was just not suited to be in private hands.
’Is this idea going to be directly applied in some ways, or just somehow optimize the operation of Samsara?’ Wang Wei asked himself. If it’s the former, Wang Wei expects to see the application after the Netherworld Emperor takes their position. In other words, it will be noticeable how this idea is applied, as it will directly impact the framework of the Transcendent Age.
Based on the new agreement Wang Wei had with the sect after agreeing to help Yan Hai, he handed over 60% of the merit and kept the rest. Afterward, he immediately returned to his retreat, trying to use the gift Maitreya gave him to become an A-Class Primal as soon as possible.
Wang Wei’s approach to his cultivation remains the same: train for the more challenging Grand Constructs. The River of Time, River of Fate, and even the Grand Dao Source will be much easier to master, so he used the extra time that Maitreya granted him to master the more challenging one — the one in which his talent cannot give him immense benefit.
The Source Qi Space will arguably be the most challenging construct for Wang Wei, so he started with this one. His body hasn’t contained a trace of Qi since the Mortal Stage of Cultivation. Although he has used them during the Immortal Stage, it’s not the same as being a part of it or truly understanding their essence. Additionally, the process of mastering this construct also requires building a large reserve of unique Qi.
Wang Wei’s reservoir wasn’t particularly impressive, as he usually used either his wife’s or borrowed from one of his ancestors. Now, he had to take his time to build a proper one. Luckily for him, he had an advantage: his Qi Flower Skill. This skill granted him the ability to search for unique energies, and over the years, he has primarily used it to cultivate members of his Fate Shadow Guard. It also allows him to take a decent share of the Insurgent Qi Market from the Celestial Race.
Wang Wei started using it to build his reservoir while studying the Source Qi Space. After much consideration, he did not choose a Fate-based Qi; instead, he chose one based on Freedom; to be precise, he chose one with the "freedom" to change into other energies. His Fate Dao was versatile, encompassing space, time, death, life, luck, destiny, and many more concepts, so he needed something that could apply to all of them.
After choosing the Malleable Freedom Qi, the next step was to find areas of the Source Qi with ample reserves, or find Qi that can be transformed into his freedom energy. The Qi Flower came in handy, but in the process, Wang Wei encountered numerous Source Beasts, many of whom proved to be a worthy challenge and a way to test his strength in combat. Then, after years of studying, research, and amassing Qi, Wang Wei’s understanding and connection reached the threshold to leave his mark on this construct.
’This did not take as long as I thought,’ Wang Wei thought. This was good news for him since the Source Qi Space should be the most challenging one. Wang Wei raised his palms, and a purple glowing orb manifested in his palm. He tried to recreate a [Source Qi] by combining multiple energies, but the result was only a raw form of Chaos Qi.
’The word source indicates it’s the origin of all the Qi, so what makes it different from Chaos Qi?’ The answer to that question is the key to the Source Qi, but was it that simple? This was a simple logical deduction, but knowledge about the Source Qi has remained scarce. This could be the work of Grand Dao, or the answer to this question is not that simple.
He did not ponder the subject too much. Instead, he sent this project to his research team. Over the years, he had many projects he wanted to study, but he has been too busy. These projects include whether someone can have 2 Dao Imprints, whether someone can transfer into the Eternal Path — which Xiao Songxi has agreed to help with — the Intent and Will Harmony Project, and many more. Now he has just added another one.
For his cultivation of Primordial Chaos, Wang Wei’s approach was simple: he used his Fate Dao to change his Human Fiendgod Bloodline into a Pure Fiendgod Bloodline. Then, he enjoyed the benefits of being a Child of Primordial Chaos; he melded with it, played with the Primordial Will, and absorbed all the knowledge necessary to master this Grand Construct.
With these clever approaches that drastically boosted his cultivation speed, Wang Wei became an A-Class Primal with ample time remaining. The remaining time was barely enough to master a fourth construct if he pushed himself. However, instead of squeezing himself spiritually and possibly having to recuperate for a while during an active invasion, he chose to use that time wisely.
First, he utilized a significant amount of rare resources to condense three clones, each tasked with understanding a different law. The first one focused on Innate Laws, the second one on Heaven Laws, and the third one used his previous method of becoming a Fiendgod to comprehend Primordial Laws.
The second thing he did was to finally utilize all the negative karma he had accumulated during his time as the Myriad Devourer. He turned them into an artifact that protects his Time Mark. On the other hand, he met an opponent who bested him and discovered the Time Mark; they would soon realize it was, in fact, the mark of a group of grievous and deceased souls. While this method was not absolute, it can definitely save him in an emergency.
The third thing he did was to finish the divination for his wife’s runes. As much as he loved Maitreya and appreciated her help, he desperately needed ways to counter her encompassing presence. Wang Wei was lucky that she wasn’t a threat; otherwise, he would have entered the paranoid state he was in during his Supreme Outlaw Trial.
The last thing he did was finally utilize the obsession he acquired from Serenity Ghost during the Mortalhood Trial. Inspired by this man’s false immortality, Wang Wei wanted this power for himself, and he finally acquired a version of it. The process wasn’t easy, since these people’s obsession was to eliminate Wang Wei; so, how could they allow him to use their powers? Regardless, while he couldn’t destroy or purify them, they were no match for his trickery.
"It’s time," Wang Wei muttered as he looked in the distance. He changed into a white robe with purple-gold lace on the cuffs and other small areas before walking out of the room. He did not immediately check on his department since everybody was now focused on one place: Great Qin.
An intense fluctuation was emanating from the Invasion Gate, and the scary thing is that none of that fluctuation leaked. In other words, if Wu Hong hadn’t discovered that hidden dimension, these people could have invaded silently without anyone being the wiser.
