Chapter 1782: Secrets of Saint Bloodlines

"Get in," Wang Wei said. "Let me remind you: the process will be incredibly painful. You must hold on until the pool becomes clear."
"Is this why you insisted I complete the pagoda before cultivating?"
"Otherwise?"
"No need for the attitude," Wangchen scoffed before shamelessly undressing. He glanced at the pool, "This should be easy, right?" His willpower was so strong that he had already met the requirements to manifest it. If not for the weakness of his body and mind, he would have already achieved Willpower Manifestation.
Bang!
A terrifying force hit Wangcheng on his back, sending him flying into the people. "You bastard! One day, I’ll get my re...Haaaaa." His words were stopped by a scream of unimaginable agony. As he swam to the surface, red markings manifested all over Wangchen’s body, but he couldn’t care about any of that. His pride wanted to resist crying, but it was simply too much.
"He-He’s going to be alright, right?" Chenli asked.
"His safety is guaranteed, but if he doesn’t meet my requirements, he can’t stop calling me teacher, and I will stop treating him as such," Wang Wei replied casually as he summoned a gourd of wine to enjoy himself. Wangchen heard these words, and a fierce look flashed in his eyes. He instantly extinguished all hesitations or thoughts of giving up. Today, he will experience a perfect second awakening, or he’ll die from the pain.
Even Chenli had a worried look on her face. She understood that Wang Wei had gone above and beyond for their deal. He could have done the bare minimum, but he still did his best to raise his son. ’If only he could truly accept us,’ Chenli thought. She has seen her son looking at the village’s children, especially their dads. Every time that happens, a profound ache would ail her.
Wang Wei secretly nodded. As he sipped his drink, his mind turned to the development of Wangchen’s bloodline. He did not do all of this out of the kindness of his heart. The kid’s bloodline was the perfect study material; he watched it develop from an infant to the present, and now, he was prepared to observe the next stage of evolution.
’His Chaos Demon God Bloodline is awakening,’ Wang Wei thought as he pushed his [Existence Observation] to the limit. ’The three gates have become extremely malleable, not only making them easier to open, but also making it easier to reach the higher stars of the Ancestor Fiendgod Realm.
’His bloodline inheritance contained several Saint Foundation Methods for him to choose from, but even if he doesn’t choose, his bloodline will naturally choose for him.’
Wang Wei was surprised. He discovered that if the people of this world did not halt their bloodline’s natural growth, those with a Saint or Chaos Demon God Bloodline would naturally condense all three Saint Foundations when they reached the right age.
’However, this would be disastrous,’ Wang Wei analyzed. There is a reason the third foundation needs to be unique to the individual’s path or Dao. If they followed the natural bloodline growth, these people would have become the perfect vessel for the Fusan, the Flame Chaos Demon God.
"Hmm?" Wang Wei suddenly murmured.
"Is something wrong?" Chenli asked.
"No," Wang Wei denied. He had just learned that a Saint Bloodline means that these people can naturally open the fourth gate. But how is that possible? All Saint Path should be unique. So, how would their bodies condense the Flesh Quintessence?
Wang Wei squinted his eyes, and something dawned on him, ’The Transcendent Heaven Will — the bloodline will open the fourth gate, similar to how I theorize the Transcendent Heaven Will would operate."
Wang Wei felt relieved. Even Saints have to follow the balance rules. Although their children can eat, poop, and wait to sanctify, the ones who followed this path will only condense the lowest number of pillars — just like the people who used the Transcendent Heaven Will.
"The amount of time required for the process is astronomical," Wang Wei continued. A brief calculation indicates the transformation will take at least billions of yuan. "But there doesn’t seem to be a possibility of failure." Wang Wei wasn’t sure about the last part. Deciphering that aspect of the [Existence] was beyond his current knowledge.
"So, what is the standard way of transcending this bloodline and the Heaven Will uses?" Wang Wei asked himself. The answer was crucial, as it will not only reveal much about the Way of the Primordial Saint, and because he can use this information to help Wang Bo’s sanctification.
Wang Wei focused his eyes. Wangchen was merely awakening his bloodline, meaning he had to deduce the information if he wanted to know. The process was far from easy, but luckily, this thing involved something he was well-versed in: the River of Time.
"So that’s how it is," Wang Wei thought. "The realm is called transcendent, so what are cultivators transcending from? Great Emperor transcends life, Empyrean breaks free from death, and Paragon rises above time and space. However, these realms have only achieved a preliminary form of detachment or transcendence.
"Primordial Saints are the ones who have truly detached themselves from the shackles or limitations of space and time. It’s why they can alter the Primordial Timeline (Grand Dao will still punish them), it’s why the time acceleration rules no longer apply to them, it’s why they can travel to the endless possible future and mess things up."
A new realization dawned on Wang Wei. The Universal Soul Saint Technique he created with Maitreya and his wife was universal because it used the most orthodox approach to transcendence: breaking away from the rules of the River of Time. Cultivators may try different approaches to become Primordial Saints, but in the end, their power will manifest as the ability to ignore time rules.
"If my theory is correct, the bloodline will allow its owner’s fourth gate to summon all the shackles of the River of Time, and by opening it, the cultivator will forcefully break these shackles," Wang Wei pondered. "However, the cultivator is not using their own power to summon or access these shackles. No, it’s the imprint left by Fusan that will do the job. For the Heaven Will, it will be the Grand Dao that will summon these shackles. Without doing it themselves, the achievements will be low, resulting in low numbers of pillars."
Wang Wei’s eyes shone with the light of wisdom; the secret of transcendence seemed right before him. "Since Primordial Saints have transcended time, what about the Tribunal Lords and Grand Dao Saints? The latter has condensed their own source of the Dao, meaning they have become independent and detached themselves from the Dao itself. As for Tribunal Saints, if I had to guess, it would either be one of the other concepts, the River of Fate, or all of them together."
Wang Wei’s mind became clearer as an outline for all three steps of the Quintessence Realm manifested in his mind. "My Soul Quintessence Method involves breaking some of the shackles of fate, and I’m glad that I included it," Maitreya warned him to add his own perspective in the Universal Soul Method, and Wang Wei followed her advice. If his theory is true, there should be some benefits when he is condensing his Flesh Quintessence and transcending the River of Fate.
A smile crept on his face. It was worth the time and effort spent on this brat. "The issue now is what to do with the Human Fiendgod Bloodline," Wang Wei thought. "I will definitely evolve mine as bloodline is the best way for me to open the fourth gate. However, I don’t think it’s a good idea for the clan to have a Saint Bloodline."
Just by looking at Wangchen’s bloodline, he saw countless marks or influences of Fusan on the kid’s [Existence]. If Fusan is alive, he doesn’t even need to use secret means of leaving an imprint in the bloodline. His existence itself is so high that any lower being associated so deeply with him can become an extension of his body or existence.
The idea of higher beings taking over a lower creature’s body or soul has been taboo in the Wang Clan since Qiyuan divided the clan. Unfortunately, as long as the clan has Saint Tier bloodline, this will become an issue — even if no one did anything.
"I can add the malleability of the gates to make it easier for clan members to temper their bodies and reach the threshold of Sainthood, but even if I can, I won’t allow them to become Saints naturally.
"I could also add my and the ancestors’ memories to allow them to temper themselves or draw from our experiences in times of need. Maybe even add countless Saint Foundation Methods and the experience of establishing them for the clan members to choose and learn from, but that’s as far as I’m willing to help."
Sometimes, it’s not necessarily a good thing for a clan to be too powerful. Perfect examples of that are the Ji and Bi Clans. The Ji Can has never been able to cultivate a Grand Dao Saint, while the Bi Clan seems to have failed to cultivate their founder’s body refining technique. Now, they are searching for extremely talented individuals to do so.
