Chapter 2062: Three Elemental Arrow
A completely independent puppet was not something Grey ever thought would be possible, yet there was one chasing after him.
Just as the last two lightning snakes were about to strike him, he dodged them before using his space element to create some distance between himself and the chasing puppet. Due to how close the puppet was to him previously, he could not use his space element. Fortunately the puppet sending him flying gave him the right opportunity to finally be able to make use of his most reliable element.
Standing before it, he reassessed it once again. Even though it looked like he was getting suppressed by the puppet, that was not entirely the case. Even before getting to the Ninth stage of the Sovereign Plane, he had crossed blows with Peak Sovereigns and knew just how strong they were. This puppet, although strong, was not as powerful as most Peak Sovereigns; one of the drawbacks of puppets since they could not retain their original strength before death.
A puppet is generally able to unleash around seventy-five to eighty percent of an Elementalist’s strength while they are still alive.
As he observed the puppet, he soon noticed an anomaly, this puppet had what looked like a talisman stuck to its chest. This was the first time he was seeing this in a puppet. His curiosity almost made him want to ask the leader of the mercenaries how they got this puppet, but then he pushed it to the back of his mind since he knew the puppet would not give him that chance.
His aura which had previously been chaotic from the puppet’s relentless attacks stabilized, staring at the puppet, he motioned to it and said, "Come!"
As if it could understand Grey, the puppet quickly closed the distance. To be honest, it did not stop chasing Grey, it was just that Grey was too fast after being able to use his space element to create some distance.
The puppet screeched and attacked as it got close. Unfortunately for it, Grey could now fully make use of his space element after getting the required distance from the puppet, so it was almost impossible for the puppet to close the gap.
Reappearing behind the puppet, Grey attacked with the fire element, using a fire whip to lash at the puppet.
The puppet grabbed the fire whip, trying to drag Grey closer to him.
Grey was naturally not foolish enough to allow something like that to happen, he quickly dispelled the fire whip before multiple fire arrows appeared in the sky, lunging at the puppet.
The puppet used its lightning element to create a shield made fully from the lightning element, blocking the series of fire arrows.
Grey did not expect this attack to take down the puppet, he only wanted to use it to buy himself some time. With the puppet dealing with the fire arrows, Grey stretched out his right hand, and in front of his index finger, a blaze of blue flames started to form an arrowhead.
The arrowhead was just about to be complete when a flash of silver appeared on it before forming completely. The arrowhead was made from the fire and lightning elements. The other part of the arrow was made fully of the wind element.
"Go." Grey muttered as his right hand recoiled backward.
The arrow shot straight at the lightning shield that was still being bombarded by his fire arrows.
Crack!
The second the arrow made from three elements hit the shield, a crack instantly appeared, and within a second, the shield shattered.
The puppet was taken by surprise as it was still dealing with the fire arrows. Seeing such a powerful attack, it steadied itself before its palms glowed a brilliant flash of silver. With one hand above and another below, a lightning circle formed in the middle of its hands, around its chest area.
It pushed the lightning circle forward after it fully formed.
Grey’s combined three elemental arrow struck the puppet’s defensive lightning circle, and to Grey’s shock, the arrow vanished into the lightning circle.
The lightning circle imploded after the three elemental arrow was sucked in, tearing the very fabric of space that quickly repaired itself after both attacks vanished.
’It’s a good thing there’s no one controlling it, else it would’ve been a hassle to deal with.’ Grey felt thankful it was an independent puppet.
While thinking this, a fusion orb formed on his palm, this time, a four colored fusion orb. He knew if he wanted to deal with this puppet, then he could not hold back.
The puppet, seemingly sensing the danger of the four colored fusion orb, did not want to give him the time to complete the fusion. It rushed after him, stretching out its hand in an attempt to grab Grey.
Grey was unbothered by the approaching puppet, looking at the group of five who were watching the battle from a distance, an evil grin appeared on his face.
When the group of five saw Grey use the three elemental arrow, they felt stunned. It was common knowledge that the elements could enhance each other, but this was the first time they were seeing a single individual make use of three elements at the same time.
As if Grey’s attack was not shocking enough, the puppet’s reply was even more astonishing. They were still reeling from the shock when they saw a four colored fusion orb forming on Grey’s palm.
The eyes of the lady bulged so hard it felt like it was about to pop out of her skull. Previously, they suffered from a three colored fusion orb. She had thought that was Grey’s strongest attack, especially after he just used the three elemental arrow. Never did she imagine he could actually make use of a four colored one which was even stronger. As she watched the fusion orb forming on Grey’s hand, she suddenly saw him grinning.
"Huh? What’s so..."
Before she could finish her sentence, she noticed the figure standing before the puppet was no longer Grey, rather, it was one of her surviving Fifth stage Sovereigns.
