My Three Wives Are Beautiful Vampires

Chapter 1142: Scathach’s Competitiveness.

Chapter 1142: Scathach’s Competitiveness.

Scathach was sitting at the top of a black stone platform, observing the artificial horizon stretching out before her. The area was silent, except for the distant sound of millions of footsteps echoing in disorganized rhythms. This entire place had been recently built, a colossal extension of training fields, arenas, fortresses, and logistical structures that seemed to stretch into infinity.

An entire planet was dedicated exclusively to training new soldiers.

She rested her chin on the back of her hand, staring expressionlessly at the vastness.

"One hundred million this time, huh," Scathach murmured.

The number sounded strange, even to her.

Scathach had trained armies before. Entire tribes. Orders of warriors. Complete legions. So this number was nothing new, and while she was thinking about the past, she would have never imagined having so many people under her command.

She raised her hand, and a projection appeared in the air before her.

Lines of data. Divisions. Classifications. Different races. Different species. Some were vampires, most were hybrids of other races, with humans being the largest group.

There were also demons, spiritual beings, and some new and ancient races that didn't even exist a few centuries ago.

Victor's Empire had this annoying tendency to create new things, although it wasn't really his fault. As it was the Empire's plan to create as many new beings as possible.

She scanned the data with her eyes.

"Interesting." The number of humans with mixed ancestry from other races was higher than the 'pure' races themselves, and in no way were they weaker than 'pure' vampires, she laughed in disdain.

In the past, such creatures would be seen as abominations by supernatural beings, but for Victor's Empire, all of this was normal.

After all, any genetic problem of a race could be solved by the Empire's technology.

Therefore, the tradition of some more radical groups ended up returning so that the choice of a partner was based on how much potential they had, rather than what their race was.

'Somehow, everything ends up going back to the past, huh.' She laughed when she thought about it, considering that the tribe she came from had that same mentality.

A voice appeared behind her.

"You seem worried."

Scathach didn't need to look to know who it was.

"Worried is not the word, Siena."

Siena walked up to her, crossing her arms as she observed the training field below.

From where they were, it was possible to see tens of millions of soldiers spread across the artificial plains.

Some were fighting.

Others were training formations.

Some were simply trying to survive.

Siena whistled.

"That's a lot of people… And this is just the beginning." Scathach replied calmly.

By the end of the day, this number was expected to practically become 1 billion.

"Yes."

She turned her attention back to the data.

"Training one hundred million individuals is not the problem." As a dragon goddess, she could bend reality to be in multiple places at the same time, but that was counterproductive, since not everyone deserved her attention.

That didn't mean they wouldn't receive the best training, of course. It just meant the goddess could focus her efforts on others, as she had always enjoyed polishing talent into a beautiful gem of power.

Siena raised an amused eyebrow.

"No?"

Scathach shook her head. "The problem is quality."

She expanded the map as the projection now showed thousands of sectors.

"If I train them all together…" She paused for a moment. "…the result will be mediocre."

Siena tilted her head.

"Why?"

Scathach explained as if it were obvious.

"Biological differences."

"Oh…" Siena immediately understood what she meant, but she didn't interrupt her mother.

Scathach began pointing at different groups.

"These vampires have absurd regeneration."

"These hybrids have combat instincts."

"These demons rely on infernal energy."

She changed the projection again.

"But these ones…" She pointed to a specific group.

"…are basically new."

Siena looked more closely.

"Converted civilians?"

"Yes."

Siena nodded in confirmation. "So half of them don't know how to fight."

Scathach corrected her.

"More than half… Most of them haven't even set foot in the tower to prove themselves."

Siena remained silent for a few seconds, understanding why there was such inconsistency compared to the past. The answer was the aggressive expansion her husband had carried out, as most of the beings here were babies who hadn't even picked up a weapon yet. A very high percentage of people were holding a weapon for the first time today.

"So what's the plan?" Siena asked.

Scathach closed her eyes for a moment, using her divine mind for the best possible strategy.

When she opened her eyes again, several new projections appeared around them.

"First, they will be divided, the instructors will baptize the newcomers, those with potential will be separated from the rest and sent to the correct divisions."

"Second, those with combat experience will be sent on various expeditions to be evaluated."

Scathach began issuing orders to Siena and her assistants through the Empire's technology.

This planet had the best of the best teachers to mold a perfect soldier, even a normal human would leave here as a superhuman. Even if he died somehow, the goddess could simply bring him back.

In a way, this planet managed by Scathach was like a rite of passage into adulthood for everyone in the Empire. Everyone who reached the physical and mental maturity of their species was required to come here to undergo training.

"And finally… Those who are exceptional will be trained directly by me."

"Mother, you have to lower your evaluation criteria a lot."

"I know."

"Mother, you have to lower it even more." Siena sighed when she looked at Scathach's evaluation criteria.

She was basically looking for a very nerfed version of her own daughters, but that was ridiculous and very unlikely to happen.

After all, not everyone had the Emperor's genes. A nerfed version of her own daughters had the potential to surpass even a low-level imperial guard that had not been modified by the Emperor.

And those beings had the capability to face entire low-level pantheons if necessary, and that was even before their ascension through the Emperor's hands. After all, Victor did not joke around when it came to the family's safety.

Comparing the Emperor's family to everyone else was simply absolutely unfair. Even if Victor's daughters did nothing, they would still become extremely strong, and with the rigorous training of Scathach and Victor? They were basically an absolute unit of power.

"… Hmm, I thought that with this new batch, I could increase the criteria even more, but it seems not, huh."

"We have to wait for the next development of the Stellar Arsenal. They will greatly improve everyone's genes by the 100,000th year of the Imperial calendar."

"… Fine." She pouted, it seems like she wouldn't have much fun with this batch.

As the supreme commander of all legions, they all answered to her, but, ironically, during times of development, she was the one with the most free time since none of her sisters were incompetent.

In the end, she was left in charge of monitoring the new recruits. Occasionally, she would find a rare gem that she would personally train, then that rare gem would be introduced into the imperial guard or the Spartan legions.

Scathach laughed when she thought about that legion. At first, Aphrodite was excited to have an entire planet for herself, but she was practically buried in work. After all, who would have thought that dealing with billions of beings, organizing everything, and making it perfect would be easy?

Fortunately, she was a dragon and wouldn't become exhausted because of something like that, and frequently, she and Rose helped Aphrodite so she could rest her mind a bit.

"Where are my daughters?"

"Lacus is dealing with the new recruits, and Pepper is in Yggdrasil promoting a new game."

"… Does she need to do that personally?"

"No, but she likes it… And if she promotes the game, it becomes a success immediately, since it was promoted by the goddess of culture."

Scathach's smile became a little stiff. Who would have imagined that in the entire Empire, her daughter Pepper would be one of the most popular goddesses?

She only lost to Victor, Hestia, Violet, Tyche, and Aphrodite.

The ranking was like this.

1: Dragon Emperor God, Victor.

2: Goddess of Order, Violet.

3: Goddess of Love, Aphrodite.

4: Goddess of Luck, Tyche.

5: Goddess of the Hearth, Hestia.

6: Goddess of Culture, Pepper.

7: Goddess of War, Scathach.

She was even above her own mother!

While Scathach was more idolized by the military, Pepper was loved throughout the entire Empire. She even acquired the divinity of culture, art, and development because of the faith of the people.

In fact, the Top 6 of the most loved gods almost never changed. The people's faith in them was the faith of the entire Empire. Violet and Victor were obvious as they were respectively seen by the masses as the creator gods, Violet being the goddess of order and the Empress. Victor being the god of chaos and the God Emperor.

The positions of Aphrodite and Tyche were also expected, as the goddess of love, she and her group of goddesses were directly responsible for the Empire's population growth. Tyche was practically a primordial goddess of luck of the first generation, all thanks to the Empire's propaganda. After all, Victor knows how important luck is.

There were even rumors that if you played a gacha game and prayed to the goddess of luck, your chances of getting an SSR would increase a lot.

Hestia… Once again, it was expected that she would be popular, and she was deeply loved by all the families of the Empire.

Only Scathach's position was unstable, as she fluctuated between 7th and 8th place.

The eighth place was surprisingly Persephone, as the goddess of reincarnation.

Scathach predicted that when the Empire entered war, her ranking would increase a lot, not that she was thinking about that or anything…

Scathach gritted her teeth.

Siena rolled her eyes when she saw her mother's state and didn't even need to read her mind to know what she was thinking.

'Mother is very competitive.' Siena snorted internally.

Well, she wouldn't be Scathach if she weren't competitive.

"Mother, we have to work."

Those words brought Scathach back to reality.

"Yeah." She stood up.

"The next batch of recruits is arriving."

"By the end of the day, I want everyone in the courtyard."

"… All 1 billion as expected?"

"Yes."

"Are you going to give the speech?"

"It's tradition."

"...." Siena suspected that her mother was using this as an excuse to increase her popularity, but she had no proof of that.
