Chapter 2046 Surrender
Noah stepped onto the stage. She looked at White and spoke.
"How about we keep it simple?"
"What do you suggest?"
"There is no point in both of us getting injured for no reason.
So, let's fight for five minutes. In exactly five minutes, we will use everything we have. The one who ends up having the upper hand by the end of it wins. No matter who wins among us, it is not going to be an easy fight moving forward. There is no point in needless injuries."
"I am open to it. How can we judge who has the upper hand?"
Noah turned to Ivar. Ivar nodded his head.
"I can help you guys out with it. I can easily judge which one of you wimps has the upper hand."
"I am fine with it," White replied.
Noah also nodded.
"You can start the fight now," Ivar declared.
*BOOM*
White hit the ground with the cane and closed the distance between him and Noah. Noah gently tapped the ground with her feet and jumped back very slowly.
Just when White was about to reach her, he was trapped by the vines and dragged down to the ground. He was surprised.
It was not easy to sneak up on him. Even Sam had a hard time.
Noah smiled, and the next moment, her body started changing. She was using her blood art. She wasn't playing around when he suggested they go all out in that short time frame. The next moment, the whole area was filled with trees.
Noah merged within those trees and was nowhere to be seen. Even the Elders, seniors, and other spectators were impressed by the move.
It's not that they couldn't find Noah's presence. They could clearly feel it. The only problem was her presence was everywhere in every single tree that formed in this instant forest. The trees all had a blood-colored hue around them.
White looked around in vigilance. His instincts were screaming at him. He could sense the threat coming from every single direction. He could be attacked from anywhere, including from the ground and from the air. Right now, the spectators couldn't even see him.
His energy ramped up, and he tapped it on the ground.
*BOOM*
With an explosion, the patch of trees in his immediate vicinity disappeared. They turned into shreds and then evaporated as if they didn't exist in the first place. They disappeared just like that.
Noah started her attack as well. Several wooden spears came from different directions, along with exploding fruits that carried different poisons, corrosive materials, and many more.
*BOOM* *BOOM* *BOOM*
White was in a completely defensive position. He was forced into it. He swung his cane everywhere, creating recoil shots that deflected the attacks that came at him. His defense was almost perfect, but not quite.
White didn't even realize when, but in between this constant onslaught of attacks, a green hue started forming on his skin.
He gave his body a quick scan and noticed something weird. It was not a poison but very minute seeds that were the size of microorganisms, deposited in his skin. They were now growing by sucking the vitality from his body. As soon as he noticed that, Noah seemed to have realized his reaction.
The seeds didn't grow slowly anymore. White felt a huge amount of energy being sucked out of his hands. He stopped in his tracks. Nobody could see his facial expressions, but they knew he was having a tough time.
At the same moment, the earth beneath his feet cracked, and several vines sprouted.
They coiled around White's body and soon formed a large cocoon. The crowd cheered in excitement. Noah and White didn't actually do much in the fight, but both of their moves were still eye-catching and exciting. They could feel the power and strength behind them.
Now Noah used one of her hidden cards blatantly. The cocoon started absorbing the vitality from White's body and started creating more vines out of that vitality, binding the cocoon tighter.
Inside the cocoon, White felt helpless. He felt like he was stuck in a swamp that was trying to devour him. He felt suffocated. Now he finally understood the real purpose of these micro vegetations that grew all over his arms. They were connecting with the vines of the cocoon.
Whenever he tried to utilize his spiritual energy, he felt it being drained through this vegetation.
This was a dangerous technique. He knew that very instant he was backed into a corner. And it didn't even take that long for it to happen. He felt a bit ashamed of himself. He gritted his teeth and closed his eyes.
The energy within his body slowly emitted out. It wasn't circulated or channeled; instead, it was emitted out.
Even though his hands were covered with vegetation and absorbed the energy particles that came out of his hand, the same thing couldn't be said about the energy particles that were coming out of the rest of his body.
They spread out rapidly, and White finally felt a bit relieved. The occupation of the whole cocoon with his own energy gave him slight solace and kept him a bit free.
The next moment, the energy particles started vibrating. At the same time, the spectators noticed that the cocoon was not showing any strong fluctuations, which meant White gave up the attack.
They were a bit disappointed. They wanted the fight to go longer. Luckily for them, White didn't disappoint.
*BUZZ*
All of a sudden, the cocoon started glowing and gave out a buzzing sound.
The experts there could see that the cocoon was vibrating a bit. Slowly, the vibration spread to the surrounding area. But the physical objects or the vines were not vibrating; rather, the energy in the surrounding environment was.
The vibration was happening on a particle level. The spiritual energy particles and divine energy particles were vibrating with increasing frequency and at the same wavelength.
Some seniors and even some Elders didn't understand what exactly was happening.
"Huh, he would have indeed been a great fit at Gambler's Academy; too bad his head is stuck up in his ass," Chorus said lazily as he yawned.
Sam frowned. He was one of the few who understood not just the visual appearance of this vibration. He had a million calculations going on in his head, trying to estimate the end result he could create if he was the one who created this scenario. None of these were, of course, good.
He snapped his fingers.
*SNAP*
Noah, who was merged into one with those vines, heard the snap as well. She made her move. Her cocoon disappeared, and she retracted all the vines. She reinforced her body completely and had proper control over the energy particles in her immediate surroundings.
*BOOM*
With a loud explosion, a bright flash appeared, blinding everyone. White stood in the middle of it as a huge shockwave spread in all directions.
It destroyed everything in its path: the rocks that came out of the craters, the large pieces of the stage, the leftover trees and vines left behind by Noah—everything disappeared and dispersed into energy particles.
When the flash was gone, all they saw was White standing in the middle of a smooth flat ground. It would have been impossible even if they tried to make the ground that flat with their manipulation. It was that smooth.
The only thing that stuck out like a sore thumb was Noah stood in her spot. Her face
was serious and flushed. She took the hit of the shockwave, but luckily, she was prepared.
Sam's cue helped as well, but she was confident that she could save herself even if he didn't notify her. She still had fight left in her, but she raised her hand and surrendered.
"What the heck is that? I have never seen an energy explosion like that. How did he do it?"
"I don't know. What element is it? How can energy explode like that?" Many discussions arose. Everyone was curious and excited. This is the place where the cream of the crop gathers, after all; everyone is curious and eager to know what happened.
Some higher-level people guessed it. Sam, on the other hand, saw it.
With his enhanced energy vision, he saw every single particle's reaction in that attack. It was not even considered a proper spell or a move; rather, it was just the utilization of high-level energy control.
All the particles were vibrating at the same frequency, and that frequency was constantly increasing, achieving a certain momentum. Once it reached the desired momentum, all of those particles were dragged to one single point in an instant.
That triggered the explosion with the flash. The rapid concentration of all those particles at the same point resulted in that flash, and the noise was from the collision of the particles. Once they collided, White just let go of the control and let the particles return to their original state. This was the result of the shockwave.
This was not surprising to Sam, but the most surprising thing was how precise the calculation had to be to make sure the force was right enough for just the collision.
If he was off even by a bit, the particles would either not generate enough force or they would be fused forcefully. Neither of them was good for the person who was performing this.
