Followed by the first deal, the other members kept fulfilling their end of bargain.

Sam was very generous with the tech. Except for the one that was originally not visible to the people, any tech that could actually be identified by even the pea brained academy realm residents, was put up for sale.

And everyone was willing to pay the heavy price of capturing the other academy members.

And within another seven days, the screens Sam showed multiplied like crazy.

Of course, as the days passed, they did realize that the number of people captured far exceeded the possible number of people involved in Sam’s assassination.

There were several meetings held, and many academies discussed the counter measures. Many fights broke out because of this.

But the lure of Sam’s tech was too powerful.

The new captives just came in and just as promised Sam delivered the tech without any worries.

The manager team was floored. They first thought Sam was just riling up the heat in the academy realm and thought this captive game was just another means to an end.

But as the number of captives increased, they realized something. Something that even the elders in the academy realm failed to recognized at the moment.

The first one to come across that was Icarus.

On Sam’s orders, Icarus was responsible for aiding in throwing these guys in the chessboard. So, he came across the prisoners a lot more. So, when he counted them, he saw many faces were familiar.

He went back to the list of captives and then finally noticed it. He immediately ran to Sam, who was sipping wine, while cooking up new means to torture the captives.

"You... Are we doing it? Is this the final stand?"

Sam was stunned for a moment and asked.

"What the hell do you mean? Final stand?"

"The names, the people. I noticed. They are all the people involved and in knowledge of the incident way back when. They are the core members that are directly responsible for the bad rep of the Zeus academy.

They are my enemies.

More than seventy percent of them were captured. And from the list, you added the other thirty percent names as well."

"Oh, that?" Sam sighed and smiled.

"Yeah, what’s happening? Is this the final fight?"

"Not really. This is far from it honestly.

Your initial judgement is right. This round is just a means to an end. We are not killing these guys now. They have a really special task. But before they carry it out, I need to beat some sense into them. So, don’t think too much."

Icarus wanted to ask more. But Sam brushed him off and focused on his work.

Of course, Icarus was too curious and he looked at the captives from other academies as well. And his doubts were validated more.

The captives from Zeus academy were far more than any other Olympian academy. But still, there are ton of captives from other Olympian academies as well. But when it came to the other regions, from Norse, the Thor academy people dominated the list.

Hel academy was a close second.

Indra academy from Sanatan region, that was Daksh, another manager’s target.

Archangel Academy from the Eden region. That was Michael’s target.

Set’s academy from Duat region. That was Khufu’s target.

Hou Yi’s academy from Xia region, that was Lan’s target.

Susano’s academy from Shinto region, that was Miko’s target.

Iwa academy from the last region. That was Ayita’s target.

All the academies were the primary targets of the managers that had the same cause. It almost felt like the remaining academies were just there to cover up the act.

Icarus informed the situation to the other managers and they were stunned as well. There was a faint sense of excitement mixed with a hint of fear seeded in their hearts.

If this was the last stand... they had been waiting for this for years. But at the same time, they didn’t know if they were ready for the last stand or not.

Of course, while the managers were conflicted, it was still subtle. The academies that were targeted on the other hand were deep turmoil.

The first one to realize the pattern was actually Ling Tian.

He immediately informed the other Olympian academies.

All the Deans along with Bloody Chariot held a meeting.

"We all know why we are here. For the hub’s tech, we didn’t even think twice and bit each other off. Now, its time for us wrap this up.

We need to bring all our members back from the hub. And at the same time destroy it."

One of the Deans proposed. Bloody Chariot looked at all of them coldly. He really wanted to kill all of them. Rightfully so, because he was the only one opposing doing stuff for the hub just to get some tech.

But the others, even his own academy’s elders ignored him.

Even Heron who knew the whole situation leaned towards the others and just let them be.

"All of you succumbed to the greed and helped Sam harm the academies.

I am out of here. Do whatever the fuck you want."

"You cannot leave Bloody Chariot." A different Dean stopped him.

Bloody Chariot made him flinch with just one look.

The Dean wiped off the non-existent sweat and said.

"I don’t mean It like that. What I meant to say was, you are essential for this meeting to work." Then he turned to the rest of the room and said.

"Honestly, I knew this day would come the moment I knew of the absurd request from the Hub. But I, just like everyone else couldn’t resist the temptation of the technology. So, I was planning for the remedial situation.

And the first step for us to succeed in the plan is actually bloody chariot.

Only his strength and prestige can help us carry this plan forward...."

Then he started explaining the plan. All the Deans were a bit skeptical. But they still saw the feasibility of it.
