Chapter 2540: Western Region

Sam continued his explanation.

"The western region has three types of primary creatures. They dominate the land in terms of numbers and strength.

One of them is the beast the that we are most familiar with. The Land Crocs.

The second one is another reptilian creature. Let’s call this the Royal lizard. These things are a little less taller than the land crocs, but they are bulkier.

Their explosive speed is higher and they are better than Land Crocs in the short range explosive movements. And most important is that unlike land crocs, who only had physical attacks mostly, this one has a special skill.

It can harden the skin on any part of its body. Its both offensive and defensive. On top of that, it has retractable spikes in its tail. If you think Land croc can battle well with its limbs, you will be surprised by this.

These are our next target.

Kill as many as you like.

But as I said, capture all the land crocs. Work together, force them. Use poisons, make them fall asleep. Take a couple of limbs away if you want to. But always capture them.

Unless you are in grave danger, don’t kill them.

They are not smart enough and my chess board can’t tame them efficiently. At least, I have to increase my cultivation. Mental torture won’t work on it like it did with the cultivators.

But I believe I can find a proper use for them.

As I said, we only have a month. Thirty days exactly.

Sam’s lecture went on for another hour.

He gave them a lot of instructions. A lot of them, before they were sent...

The team went into that territory with full force. And one of the most important things they took were the shadow undead containment formation discs they had.

The friend gang with lower cultivation acquired three shadow undead in transcendent range. That would only speed up the process.

The Initiation cultivators, as soon as they entered the western zone, they divided themselves into three groups and executed a plan.

Two groups had four people. One group had five.

Night Ghost teamed up with Watt, Jack and Philip.

They gathered at their temporary base camp and discussed strategy.

"We are going to attack this from three directions. Night Ghost, you run this central area. I need you to operate the formation at the right time to lock the targets in.

Us three, will use our hoverboards. Speed is the advantage here. We have already done this kind of thing before, so trust us."

Philip explained the plan and Night Ghost nodded with a smile.

"Saber Monarch is gonna be so pissed. That idiot boasted about getting the most heads this time. Who would think that you three kids would cook up something like this?

You know everyone is vying for getting the most kills, right?"

"What’s the point of individual glory within our team? We stopped trying for that a long time ago.

With that asshole at the top, everyone’s fighting for the second spot. And with him at the top, all of us would always have the second spot. So, what’s the point? Our only goal is to make it easier and faster for him.

Efficiency is the key."

Philip replied with a smile. The other two nodded and agreed. All three of them, immediately left on their hoverboards, flying in their respective directions.

After fifteen minutes...

Philip reached the location they planned. He took out a hand gun from his storage.

"Let’s see why he is so addicted to use these things."

As he spoke, the fire element raged and his hoverboard is roaring with flames. They spread to the surrounding vegetation and set them on fire as well.

Some creatures in the vicinity all looked in his direction and quickly made their way.

The gun in his hands glowed with a purple light. When he saw three beasts running at him, he shot three bullets.

The three bullets whistled through the hair and hit the three targets perfectly. However, they didn’t cause any damage.

Instead the bullets exploded with purplish mist that was inhaled by these creatures. They stopped for a moment... only for a fraction of a second and shook their heads wildly.

Then their eyes turned red and they were locked in on Philip.

Philip didn’t even dare waste a second. These beasts he struck were pre-transcendent creatures, he had to move as fast as he could.

So, he didn’t spare his energy and charged the hoverboard. The fire raged and destroyed the forest, as he moved. This obviously disturbed more creatures.

When they came it him, Philip shot them as well.

Within two minutes, he had almost twelve creatures accompanying him.

Soon, he was about to reach the spot Night Ghost was waiting for them.

At the same time, Watt and Jack were creating similar devastation from the two directions they were coming in. Each lured a dozen or so beasts, just like Philip..

As soon as they reached the range...

*BAM*

Night Ghost activated a formation. A dome formed trapping the boys and the beasts along with them. At the same time, Night Ghost activated the formation disc that contained one of the shadow undead they captured.

The shadow undead appeared and swung its tail. The boys dodged and the raging beasts that weren’t thinking straight, took the hits squarely.

While it did that, the boys quickly shifted into their exo-suits and got ready with their own attacks.

The battle was fierce, but the raging beasts were focused too much on the boys giving the shadow undead clean access to them.

With every strike it killed a beast. And even if they survived, one of the boys took their heads off...

After around an hour, they were finally done with all the beasts...

All four of them laid down and relaxed.

"I lured 12." Philip said.

"Me too" Jack said.

"Losers. Fourteen." Watt replied.

Night Ghost looked at the three of them and thought.

’No competition, my ass.’
