Chapter 2594: Counters

Shin on the outside was having just as much trouble as Myrmon inside.

He couldn’t break the barrier formed out of energy arrows. He actually never saw this trick of Parth’s before and it frustrated it.

The only reason that they never saw this trick was because ever since they were kids, Parth had always been beating them black and blue without a contest.

And he never even had to use this type of defensive trick before.

But the fact that it is so sturdy and refined to the point that he couldn’t even break it in a short time, meant... even without having any use for it, Parth had been practicing it. He honed it to perfection.

This only made Shin hit the barrier harder, and the shockwaves wreaked havoc within the formation.

Each blow was concentrated with such power, just a shockwave could have destroyed a city. But no matter what he did, there was barely any progress on the barrier.

The worst part is that the formation itself actually did more damage to the barrier than he did.

It sucked the energy out of the arrows making the whole thing unstable.

By the time, Shin was about to penetrated the barrier... as the spear burst the arrows open... Parth opened his eyes.

He took advantage of the brief window where he could feel his senses, he aimed his bow directly at Shin...

The shockwave sent Shin flying. There was no spiritual energy or divine energy in his pull. But Shin still felt the brute force behind it.

Then before he could recover, Parth launched two more attacks, plastering Shin’s body to the barrier of the dome for more than a couple of seconds and created another arrow barrier before he slipped back into his sea of consciousness again.

Parth shifted back and forth and started battering the tar out of two of the most powerful members of this planet.

The two realized that Parth could actually beat them and finish them off immediately if he wants to do so. But he didn’t.

He just fought with them, based on the constraints they put on me. Without breaking them.

Whether intentional or not, he is breaking them down in the world the field they set up, following exactly their rules.

While things were like this, back at Hastin village.

The meeting of all the Initial stage Consummate cultivators had come to an end.

Watcher kept the communication line between the meeting and Shimmy open throughout.

"So, now, you numb-nuts understand what you need to do exactly?"

"Yes, sir."

Everyone replied in unison.

They all left and started prepping something at the defensive line established.

It took over an hour for all of them to work together, before they finished their set up at one point.

It might not seem like a lot, but at their level and expertise... its enough to set up something incredibly powerful and that’s exactly what they did.

After that, Watcher went to meet a elite team within the Transcendent stage of Divine plane consummation level.

The elite team got all the instructions they could get from Watcher and went forward with the plan.

The rest of the troops went back even more.

The battlefield was silent as the elite team looked at each other nervously.

The bone snake is coiled up in the air, with the leader of the team that’s controlling it from inside, got ready for a confrontation.

The elite team charged forward and so did the bone snake.

The snake opened the attack, with a straight energy blast from its mouth.

The elite team as expected dispersed to all sides.

A total of ten people. The captain and the vice captain of the team, just barely dodging the blast and still charging at the head, while the rest of the members spread out further, flanking the snake from either side.

The leader of the bone snake team, watched this from inside the snake and was confused by the approach the opponents took.

They already broke this strategy before.

Even when dozens of soldiers flanked from either side, the snake just did sideway blasts from the gaps in the skeleton and killed them all.

However, the leader passed his judgment early.

Because this time, the all encompassing sideway blasts were not actually as useful as he had thought.

The flanks came in. The members in there easily dodged past the blasts with their over the top speed.

All elite team members closed in and attached a bunch of formation discs on the body of the snake

They immediately retreated creating a gap between the snake and themselves to escape the immediate danger.

The formation discs activated. They spread out inscriptions trying to destabilize the arrays on the snake’s body.

However, the moment they were activated, they blew off like electric fuses and fell off the snake’s body.

"First test, successfully completed.

The snake was indeed equipped with advanced defenses against the usage of formation discs.

We need to move to the second option."

The elite team moved again and this time, they had a completely different role.

As they circled around the snake, they dropped the formation discs into the ground at different spots. The snake team did notice it, but the discs were too small and they were not even activated.

So, it became extremely troublesome for them to destroy all of them. They could only do so if they destroyed everything with an area of effect attack.

But the snake team leader is hesitant because the formation discs technically didn’t do any damage.

After thinking for a while, the leader made a decision to become aggressive. He realized that by guessing and predicting, he would be dropping into the pace of the opponents.

The snake body moved, targeting the elite team, its speed increased, matching the opponents.

But at that exact moment, all the formation discs activated, they rose up around the snake. And before the snake team could even realize what’s happening, the snake’s body is suddenly stuck in between the domes of various formations.
