Eternal Cultivation of Alchemy

Chapter 3710: Ronron’s Turn

Chapter 3710: Ronron’s Turn

Alex watched Jin Yuelan make his way toward one of the free puppets. The puppet wore some sort of armor on its body, likely to judge the strength of the man’s attacks.

"What’s his cultivation base?" Battlesage asked. "How much time does he have?"

Alex looked over to the banners. "32 seconds," he read.

The group turned toward the banners.

"Is he in the Immortal Spirit 6th realm? I didn’t sense that sort of strength from him at all," Liz said.

"I wonder what sort of result they are expecting from someone like him to require half a minute. They can use Divine Qi, after all," Ronron said. "It should be over in a matter of seconds."

"But then if you put seconds as the requirement, what stars are they supposed to earn?" Helen asked.

Ronron thought for a moment and shrugged a little. What she was told did make sense. She asked no more questions and looked down at the young man as he began to fight.

Jin Yuelan stood in his gray and green robes, a considerable distance away from the puppet. His eyes focused on the puppet’s hands, where its fingers counted him down from five to zero. When the last finger was put down, the young man rushed forward.

Green flames burst out from his two hands, taking the shape of arrows, which the man threw toward the puppet like javelins. Both attacks were powerful, but they were not attacks formed using Divine Qi.

That came a second later as the young man arrived before the puppet itself. A tongue of bright green flame, much darker than his earlier flame, erupted behind his back as nothing more than an illusion. At the same time, he brought his hands forward, flames forming upon them as he blasted them onto the puppet’s torso.

A massive green explosion marred the desert sand and everyone who stood there in bright green colors. It was so bright for some that they had to block their eyes. When the colors and light died down, they saw Jin Yuelan stand before a downed puppet, his task complete.

In just two seconds, he had won against the puppet.

Thirty stars appeared before him, which he took before walking out of the pit. He didn’t leave the area, but instead sat somewhere to the side, likely waiting for his group to all be done with it.

"As we thought," Helen said. "He did it in two seconds."

"He used his Spirit in combination with his Divine Qi, right? Does that make his attacks stronger?" Ronron asked.

Alex scratched his chin in thought. "Huh? I’m actually not sure," he said, quite fascinated by his own lack of knowledge. He didn’t believe there was much change if those were used together, but there had to be some change. If it could even get stronger by half a realm, then it was something worth knowing about.

"I’ll have to ask Master later on," he said in the end.

More people came to fight the puppets, many of them women who had registered along with Jin Yuelan. It wasn’t until about half an hour later that Ronron’s star first buzzed as she was next.

"Ooh, my turn," she said, standing up. She turned toward the other two. "Our bet is on. Let’s see who does better, okay?"

"Yes, yes. Just go."

Ronron turned and flew down to the pit, standing before an empty puppet. At her cultivation base, she had 8 minutes and 24 seconds to deal all the damage. However, that ignored the fact that she had a higher battle power than regular people. Her Battle Power of 5 was not something that was so easily achieved.

It placed her true cultivation strength at around the Immortal Origin 7th realm, which happened to match perfectly in strength with Liz’s Immortal Origin 4th realm cultivation base with a Battle Power of 3, and Helen’s cultivation base of Immortal Origin 5th realm with a Battle Power of 2.

When all was said and done, Ronron knew the stars she won from here wouldn’t be what revealed who among them was the strongest, but rather who finished earlier, relative to the others.

As soon as her turn began, Ronron started with a lightning attack. Of the four types of attacks that she could deal with Wood Qi—namely Wood, Sound, Wind, and Lightning—Lightning was easily the strongest element when it came to dealing pure damage.

So the moment she confirmed that the puppet wouldn’t fight back or try to defend in any way, the only option that made sense to her was to use lightning attacks.

The first attack came with a deafening thunderous sound that was thankfully muted for everyone else. A slightly red mark appeared on the body of the wooden puppet, almost as if it was damaged.

There was a thought in the back of her mind that she should resort to space attacks too, but she didn’t want to reveal that part of herself at all. If people made a connection to her being from the Sky God’s palace, she would be in some level of trouble, and she didn’t want that.

So lightning was all she could use.

Her two arms struck out to the side, power flooding her palms as they turned into pure energy that shot at the puppet again. Two more red marks appeared, and yet the puppet didn’t fall. Ronron struck her palm out again, throwing out another bolt of lightning at the puppet.

Then another. Then another.

Lightning bolts flew out of her like she was the storm itself, ready to bring in rain and destruction. For many minutes, she stuck to using only lightning attacks, and then after one of her attacks, the puppet faltered.

Then, she attacked again, and the puppet fell down, defeated.

Ronron finally stopped, realizing she had done it. She took a deep breath and waited for the amount of stars she was going to receive.

The stars appeared.

There were easily more than 100 stars there.
