Chapter 3874: Aura Filled

Chapter 3874: Aura Filled

The heart of the Sun Crow, the beast of Primordial Yang, God of a time long forgotten, was destroyed.

Its matter vanished, turned into pure aura, as the essence of all that was the Three-Legged Crow bled out of the corpse, coming into existence. The moment it did, the aura was far too strong for the world to contain, and it sought to change into a state where it could stabilize.

The strength of the aura at which it could stabilize was still at the peak of the Celestial grade. It was far stronger than anything else this world had seen in a long time, and Heaven shuddered in its presence.

Everyone sensed changes in their surroundings the moment it happened, though no one could tell for certain what was happening. Various Celestials looked toward the sky, noticing the imperceptible changes in their surroundings.

The sun glowed brighter that day, and despite it being a winter month, the heat that surrounded them almost made it feel like summer.

The Sky God closed her eyes immediately, seeking Heaven’s aid in understanding what had happened, though she received no help. Either Heaven wished to keep what was happening hidden, or it simply didn’t know.

The Forest God did the same, seeking Heaven for an answer he did not receive. His senses reached far and wide, and yet he saw nothing at all.

Several other Gods and sages attempted to understand the source of the change, but none succeeded whatsoever.

The one who came closest to understanding it was Sunflare, who stood right outside the workshop. It wasn’t something he sensed inside the workshop that caught his attention, but rather the barrier that had formed around it.

Just earlier, something about the barrier had changed. What had previously been so weak that he could destroy it with a single attack if he wished to had now become unimaginably tougher.

Ray acted almost immediately, pouring the entirety of the essence that was the Three-Legged Crow’s heart into the sword. The aura that came off it was so strong that even the Yang around Alex himself shuddered. In the face of such powerful Yang, the Sun God’s body shuddered.

Alex breathed in and out quickly, simply stunned by just how strong this whole thing was. He had a general idea of the strength that a late-stage Celestial had, but this was beyond anything his mind could’ve envisioned. This was a strength he was going to have to strive for.

The aura quickly condensed onto the sword, giving it more than just Fire and Yang heat aura. The pure Yang completely cleansed every other aura, placing itself firmly within the sword. That part was incredible in and of itself, but Alex was quite surprised to see that the sword was perfectly handling it all as well.

It wasted not a single hint of the aura. To be able to do that with the heart of a Primordial beast, Alex wanted to learn more about what this metal was and where it came from.

Alex stared silently for the next 10 minutes or so, during which he had to do nothing but focus on the sword, watching for any abnormalities. Thankfully, nothing happened. And when those minutes passed, the essence of the Three-Legged Crow’s heart finally ended, having been entirely consumed by the metal that made up the sword.

From what Alex could tell, it was completely filled, with no extra aura remaining within the sword. And given the strength of the aura he felt from it, he doubted it would ever change at all.

"The heart is gone, Master," Ray said as he stopped.

"I know. Thank you," Alex quickly said.

"What now?"

Alex looked at the sword and understood that he needed to work on it quickly before it completely cooled down and became unworkable.

"Now, I form the Qi lines."

The previous Qi lines had been completely destroyed, so fresh new ones needed to be placed.

Alex knelt before the sword and placed his palm as close to it as he could without being completely destroyed by the heat. His eyebrows rose a little when he recognized just how stable the pure Yang aura was on the sword. At the same time, there was something else to it as well.

Something that shouldn’t have been there, but was.

Fire.

For some reason, Alex could sense the aura of Fire. The aura was so incredibly tiny that most people even in the Divine realm would likely not have noticed it, but Alex did.

For a while, he stood there, trying to figure out what had gone wrong. What had happened to the sword that it had ended up gaining Fire aura when no Fire aura had been placed at all?

’The amount is so very tiny, though,’ Alex thought. ’It’s almost as if...’

This was not that dissimilar to what he knew about elements and what happened to them the stronger they became. All elements had trace amounts of other elements that they then got rid of the higher grade they became.

The Yang inside the Three-Legged Crow was pure Yang at the start of it all, but when it degraded down to become Celestial grade, it had acquired trace amounts of the Fire element.

The entire room had been flooded with that aura, so Alex didn’t believe it had gained the Fire aura by attaching itself to something else in the room. Instead, he believed that the Fire aura had been naturally generated, converted from the pure Yang to give it stability at the Celestial grade.

Once Alex understood that much, he returned his focus to the sword. With the understanding that nothing was wrong with the presence of the Fire element, Alex began pouring his Qi into the sword to form the necessary Qi lines.

The moment he did, a frown appeared on his face, along with a look of frustration.

"Why is it one issue after another?"

Alex’s Qi simply wasn’t strong enough to make the lines.
