Chapter 3881: Healing Blood Essence

Chapter 3881: Healing Blood Essence

Alex brought out the Book of Boundless Treasures and read through it for a while. Even though he had read the book cover to cover many times before and had taken in every piece of information there was to get from it, he still chose to read it just in case it brought something to the front of his mind that he hadn’t thought about for a while.

Unfortunately, reading it told him what he already knew.

The more Blood Essence he was missing, the harder it was to recover it.

Alex sighed and put the book away before slowly beginning to cultivate inside the platform, where time moved at about 16 years for every year outside. It had deteriorated for some time now, and he simply couldn’t help it at all.

He had asked his aunt Liz to find the Divination God to empower the formation once more, but according to her, he was nowhere to be found. Apparently, with more of the Gods coming over, he had chosen to disappear.

The man had said before Alex and everyone else that he would soon go missing, but Alex hadn’t realized he would do it so soon. Alex was all on his own now.

16 years was still a decent amount, so he cultivated without worries. For now, his intention with this session wasn’t at all to break through, but to regain his Blood Essence. It would easily take years, after all.

Blood Essence was quite important for a cultivator in that it was what connected their body to their Soul. In a way, it was the manifestation of that connection. The stronger the Blood Essence, the faster the changes between a body and a Soul reflected onto one another.

As such, having strong Blood Essence allowed a person to cultivate faster as well.

But, in the same way, if a person lacked Blood Essence, then their cultivation speed would become incredibly slow as well. They could cultivate for many times longer than before, and still the changes in their body and Soul would not reflect upon one another as easily, causing them to have to cultivate for much longer.

Worse, since Blood Essence was the connection between the two, weaker Blood Essence would mean that the connection itself was extremely weak. And if someone was wounded during this time, they could permanently take damage in a way that would make it impossible for their body to heal ever again.

That was mainly the reason why Alex didn’t want to test his sword just yet. Without giving it his all, he would never be certain just how good his sword was. But if he gave it his all, there was a chance that any sort of backlash could hurt his Soul.

And if he wasn’t going to test the sword seriously, then there was no point in testing it in the first place.

So, until he was healed, Alex chose not to do any tests.

He began cultivating slowly. He could still sense that his cultivation speed itself was fast, but that wasn’t being reflected in his cultivation base at all. The improvement, despite the speed, was quite slow.

Alex stayed at it consistently, however, and continued cultivating. The amount of treasures he had would allow him about 2 whole years to cultivate, and it was only afterward that he would have to worry about what came next. At this point, Alex was pretty much certain that he would have to consume some incubating Sun Wraiths instead.

He didn’t particularly want to do that, but there was no other choice at this point.

Alex couldn’t help but sigh internally.

’I have so much Energy inside my Soul Space that if I could just find a way to use it, I could easily cultivate without ever needing another resource,’ he thought.

Even without counting the Primordial aura that filled the region, there was much more Energy in his Soul Space from the World Tree alone. With the World Tree constantly producing Qi, if he could use it, he would. Unfortunately, he had no way of using it properly.

Alex could open his Soul Space directly onto the World Tree, but the speed at which the Qi would flow out would be incredibly weak for what he needed. Instead, he needed some other way. Some way to capture all that Energy and use it all by himself.

Alex thought of using a storage artifact, except instead of storing matter, it stored Energy.

’Some sort of Qi-gathering artifact that I could fill up and use outside whenever I need,’ he thought.

He wasn’t sure what materials he would need for something like that, but it had to be possible to make. It would likely take him a long time to come up with an artifact that could do this, but if it were the Artifact God, she could likely do it much faster.

’No,’ Alex thought almost immediately, shaking his head slightly.

He could not bother the Artifact God with this. Even though this was something he considered quite important, it was not nearly as important as the robe she was making for him, and any distraction that took her time away from that robe would end up hurting him in the end.

That robe was much more important than anything else at this point.

All Alex could do at this point was try his best and recover his Blood Essence. If it happened soon, then he could continue along and try to break through to the Immortal Spirit realm. If not, at least getting his Blood Essence back in time alone would be more than good enough for him.

Thinking as much, Alex withdrew his thoughts and focus from everything else and began cultivating diligently.

For the next 2 years, he cultivated without stopping, which was nearly 33 years in total.

And even after all that time, Alex hadn’t yet managed to regain a single drop of Blood Essence at all.

This was going to be harder than he thought.
