Eternal Cultivation of Alchemy

Chapter 3930: A God’s Visit

Chapter 3930: A God’s Visit

For 20 whole years, Alex cultivated tediously, stopping not once to take a break. There wasn’t much that needed his presence, so there was no need for him to stop. He simultaneously worked on learning more about the Dao of Radiance as well as slowly converting one of his Origins to form a shell so that it could become a Spirit.

In the 2 decades, he had improved his cultivation by quite a bit, to a point where he was much closer to reaching the Immortal Spirit realm, and thus understood one very important thing.

He did not require another Spirit in order to break through at all. The Dragon Father’s eye had been all that was needed of him. That was most likely because he needed his Soul to have undergone some form of transformation before he could reach the Immortal Spirit realm, and the Dragon Father’s eye fulfilled that requirement.

Still, he wanted to at least have a Spirit to show for his breakthrough, and as such, he placed his efforts toward it. However, without truly focusing on it entirely, it was going to take a while.

Alex was willing to go on for another 20 years so he could break through to the Immortal Spirit realm before focusing on everything else without any distraction, but a distraction of his own had caused him to stop a little early.

Ronron’s message had come some time ago that someone wanted to visit him. They had wanted to come right away, but after Ronron had told them that he was cultivating, they had been willing to wait a week. For Alex, that was 3 whole months ago.

Alex closed the formation and walked outside to welcome his visitor, who arrived not long after.

Truthseer, the Mind God, walked in with a gentle smile on his face. He looked like someone who could be Graham’s older brother, who had come bearing gifts for his nephew. But Alex didn’t let the man’s smile deceive him in the slightest.

The Mind God was someone who could read people as easily as if they were books, so he needed to be quite careful about meeting him. He hadn’t truly wanted to meet the man and was even ready to refuse him, but he decided to see what it was he wanted to talk about.

The man had wanted to talk to him a while earlier as well, so Alex wondered if there had been some information that he could only ask or convey in secret. If there was something he wanted to tell Alex, Alex would be happy to hear it. And if he was there to find out about something, he would be sorely disappointed.

Alex had thought of calling over his master, but with Sunflare there, he had no reason to worry. The man would let no great harm come to Alex, since his God’s survival was entirely tied to Alex’s survival, after all.

"Welcome, senior," Alex said with a slight bow in greeting toward the Mind God.

"Ah, I hope I’m not disturbing you. I was told you were cultivating," the man said, continuing to smile.

"I was," Alex said. "I only just came out."

Alex stepped back and gestured for the man to enter the house.

"Haha, this place looks lived in, but it’s so empty," the man said. "Are you alone?"

"Of course not," Alex answered. "Senior Sunflare is inside the hall, waiting for us. I hope that wouldn’t be an issue. Senior Sunflare insists on being wherever I am."

"Of course not," the man said. "So long as you aren’t shy around him about answering a few of my questions, I do not mind."

Alex could only wonder what the questions could be, though he was going to find out very soon. He took the Mind God into the hall, where Sunflare sat on one of the couches.

The man quickly greeted Sunflare before turning toward Alex.

"I am very curious to understand how you are able to sustain the Nine Yang Divine Tree inside of yourself when it is so much stronger than you are," he said.

Alex shrugged. "It’s easier since I am the Sun God."

Truthseer raised an eyebrow in surprise, for he saw nothing but truth in Alex’s statement. At the very least, Alex believed that to be the truth, if nothing else.

Alex didn’t have to believe anything at all, since that was in fact the truth. Only, it wasn’t as direct a connection. Being the Sun God didn’t allow him to store the tree inside his Soul Space. What it allowed was for him to gain various abilities, such as the ability to consume Space Stones and use that to expand his Soul Space, the ability for said Soul Space to generate Life Aura, and for the Life Aura to directly aid in the growth of the tree from a single seedling.

It was not the pure truth, but enough of one that Truthseer could not tell the difference directly.

"Incredible," he said before sitting down on the couch.

Sunflare reclined on the couch, making it clear that he wasn’t really going to be a part of the conversation at all. It allowed the two to continue their conversation without being mindful of him.

"Was there an exact reason why you sought me out, Mind God?" Alex asked. "I was in the middle of my cultivation session to reach the next realm."

"Do you think increasing your cultivation base will aid you in defeating the Fire God in the duel?" the man asked.

Alex crossed his arms. "Would it be better if I did nothing, then?"

The Mind God blinked. "I suppose that’s true. The slightest improvement could be the difference between a total loss and a respectable loss."

"Or no loss at all," Alex said.

The man simply smiled. "Well, since you’re so busy, I won’t beat around the bush, then. I was hoping to ask you a few things, the first of which is how you came by the Blood God’s Manual."
