Chapter 2996: Domain Implosion: Glacier Goliath’s Fever Frost!
Date: Unspecified
Time: Unspecified
Location: Myriad Realms, Dark Realm, Gelid Alps, Snow Elven Region, High Snow District, Boundary Ward
"I see you have already learned a lot from the Winter Valley," I remarked, looking down at the devastated, shivering snow elven prince.
The Winter Valley was infamous as one of the thirteen deadliest zones in the entire Dark Realm. Its terrifying reputation didn’t just stem from the presence of the localized Glacier Fever; it was the horrific ecosystem born from it. The valley was perpetually plagued by apex monsters that gestated directly within that near absolute-zero environment.
Even if an intruder was powerful enough to hold out against the Glacier Fever by relying on some miracle elixir or high-tier defensive item, they would eventually be overwhelmed. The zone would unleash waves of powerful beasts that wielded Glacier Fever as a natural weapon, the exact same way the Snow Elven Crown Prince had just tried to use it against me.
This was precisely what made Forsell’s Blessing so incredibly potent for the Froslings. I had actually capitalized on it before when developing my Frosling Corpse puppets and card spirits.
Instead of just weaponizing the Glacier Fever directly like the snow elven crown prince by adding it to his frost domain, they utilized the ambient Glacier Fever to meticulously spin out Frosilk. That they could apply Frosmold to essentially 3D print practically any structural shape, armor, or weapon—all while inherently maintaining a passive effect that inflicted the devastating Glacier Fever upon any opponent unfortunate enough to make contact. Those were some genuinely good times, even though it wasn’t that long.
Even the Frosell Core Forging Technique I had personally customized and tailored for the Froslings operated on this exact same structural concept, thanks to their realm’s internal blessing granting them more than immunity to it but the ability to wield it, allowing the method to evolve from a standard refinement art into a technique with the genuine potential to reach a Ruler-Class cultivation tier.
With the Froskill technique, I was absolutely certain that the Froslings wouldn’t just survive—they would thrive and dominate in the Winter Valley under my reign.
"Domain Implosion: Glacier Goliath’s Fever Frost!" the Snow Elven Crown Prince roared, his panicked eyes suddenly snapping into a terrifying, absolute resolution.
The frost covering his skin violently imploded. The absolute-zero energy didn’t radiate outward this time; instead, it consumed him entirely, rapidly turning his entire body into a solid, monolithic glacier statue.
To a regular observer, it looked exactly like the final, terminal stage of a victim dying from Glacier Fever. However, unlike those tragic corpses, the Prince retained his absolute consciousness and full, unrestricted movement.
The ice shifted and groaned as he stepped forward. He didn’t just look like an encased man—he had literally evolved into a being made internally of hyper-compressed divine ice, wrapped inside a massive, brutal exoskeleton suit forged from pure, rule-infused glacier.
What truly caught my attention using my Soul Pupils was how his staggering array of Ruler-class armor pieces, trinkets, and defensive sets seamlessly liquefied and fused into the icy exoskeleton, forming a terrifying, synchronized armor matrix.
But the most astonishing feat was what happened to my curse.
By fundamentally rewriting his biology from organic flesh to near absolute-zero ice, he successfully froze the Fleeting Youth curse affecting him.
The curse required a biological medium to trigger accelerated aging and decay, and the very concept of cellular aging stagnated to absolute zero when the host turned into a conceptual glacier. Because he retained his consciousness and movement through pure rule-force, he effectively bypassed the penalty while keeping the curse entirely locked in stasis.
Thankfully, because the curse was merely frozen in place rather than violently shattered or dispelled by an external artifact, my blood curse incarnations didn’t suffer another agonizing structural backlash. The connection was simply paused, suspended in a deep, absolute-zero sleep.
Domain Implosion was an exceptionally risky move. It involved violently compressing and expanding an entire rule domain inward into one’s own soul and physical vessel, rather than projecting it outward into the surroundings. One wrong calculation, and the user’s origin would instantly collapse into a localized singularity. Seeing the Crown Prince, cornered within my thousand curse fields, deliberately pull off such a suicidal maneuver made me truly understand just how far he was willing to go for his mad vision.
However, his desperate timing was actually quite a headache for me. I hadn’t actually planned to kill him here. My true intention was to capture him alive and use him as the ultimate bargaining chip to trade for the nearly one thousand perfect half-bloods.
According to the live reports from my clone, those half-bloods had been forcefully captured by the capital’s garrison. Nearly a thousand Semi-Ruler class devils should have been more than enough to completely tear down and occupy the capital, but that was only if they had managed to disable the city’s array formation beforehand.
Fortunately, my clone had successfully infiltrated the capital disguised as one of the high-ranking Snow Elves using the Myriad Devil Transformation. Had it arrived in its true form, it too would have been instantly targeted and suppressed by the capital city’s array.
But looking at the towering, translucent Glacier Goliath looming before me, the negotiation route was looking entirely dead in the water.
From the way I saw it, the Snow Elven Crown Prince was in no state of mind to open discussions. And even if I somehow forced him to the negotiating table, there was absolutely no way he would just willingly hand over those thousand semi-ruler class half-bloods. They weren’t just citizens or soldiers to him—they were his life’s work, his meticulously cultivated stepping stones to godhood. He would sooner watch his entire capital burn to ash than give up the core of his genetic masterpiece.
I guess I had no choice, but to try my primordial calamity daughter gem on him. I was hesitant because I had never used it on beings whose will was strengthened by realm will fragment. I was a hybrid world calamity tree I didn’t know if my calamity daughter were strong enough to subdue Ruler-class beings whose will has been reinforced by realm will fragment. This was why the Elder Anesthesia dragon was still in its prison and not my mount.
