"Call her back, Wyatt. Your command wasn’t complete. Yet she left anyway. Logically, she should have waited for you to finish the command and confirm it before taking action."

Jill folded her arms and her gaze sharpened, speculating, "So either you mentally completed or confirmed the command or she acted on her own."

She leaned slightly toward me, demanding, "Which is it, Wyatt?"

"Jill, calm down. Let’s give him the benefit of the doubt for now. We should finish the merit-loan announcement first, then come back to Hive Spirit," Anna spoke up, trying to defuse the situation before Jill started interrogating me in earnest.

Jill glanced at Anna, then at Susan. Susan gave a small nod. The tension in Jill’s face eased slightly, her knitted brow relaxing back into two separate brows. "Fine. Let’s get this over with, then."

She turned her attention back to the matter at hand, though the sharp glare she sent me over her shoulder said everything her words didn’t, ’I will deal with you later, you lucky bastard.’

Nodding gratefully at Anna, I continued where I had left off. "As you can see, the Hive Spirit is a genuine spirit of mathematics and logic. She also has access to the Grimoires of everyone equipped with a VR-Slime Card, including yours. So, when it comes to her calculations, her data isn’t incomplete but best processed. She processes everything available to her at the highest possible level and as fast as possible."

I paused, letting that sink in. "She is one of the tools I’m giving you so that you can keep the New Empire growing and, more importantly, keep it under your control while I’m away."

The trio’s brows slowly drew together as the implication of my words sank in. Seeing that they understood, I decided there was little point in hiding the truth from them.

"Forget everything I said during the assembly. Asong was right all along." My admission immediately caught their attention.

"My ambition for world domination isn’t driven by some heroic ideal." I leaned back slightly. "I’m building all of this because I want to secure a place where I and the people I love can live, grow old, and enjoy our lives without looking back with regrets."

My gaze moved between the three of them. A faint smile touched my lips, as I declared, "If making sure we’re happy means the rest of the world has to be happy too. Then I’ll make the rest of the world happy."

"That’s the true foundation of the New Empire. Everything I say and do in public is ultimately meant to ensure that nothing threatens what I’m building and nothing takes away the future I envisioned for us."

"I’m not saying everything I’ve said, projected, or promised was a lie." I quickly clarified, making sure they understood what I meant. "I’m saying those things are secondary. You three are my primary priority. The vision I have for the New Empire is real. Every part of it. It’s just that I am building it for you three, for the family we’ll start, and not for the rest of the world."

I deliberately chose my words with care.

This wasn’t the moment to speak like a ruler checking if his queens had what it took for them to keep his empire together and growing in his absence. I was talking to the three women who had willingly tied their futures to mine, and I knew exactly how dangerous a careless sentence could be right now.

This was damage control. I was trying to erase the damage done by Hive Spirit’s perfect human form, making even the most open minded of my three fiancées, Anna, jealous and insecure. I couldn’t blame the girls for feeling threatened.

Hive Spirit was a Celestial Spirit fed on primordial energy and baptized by the Origin Source and nourished by primordial energy, an existence whose nature was practically unparalleled among spirits. Then she had manifested in the form of an impossibly beautiful woman, addressed me with absolute devotion, and casually demonstrated capabilities that none of them fully understood.

If I were in their position, watching another man suddenly appear with that level of beauty, power, intelligence, and unquestioning devotion toward my partner, I’d probably be suspicious too.

So I chose my words carefully, hoping to reassure them without undermining everything I had built the New Empire on. The New Empire wasn’t a lie. My vision wasn’t a lie. But beneath all of it was something far more selfish and far more personal. Them, our family.

I wanted a world where the people I loved could live without fear, where our family could grow without being dragged into someone else’s war, and where we could eventually look back on everything we had built without regretting the sacrifices it had demanded.

Hopefully, that was enough to ease the storm brewing behind their eyes. I could only pray.

"Damn it, my mom was right," Anna blurted out in annoyance. "Nice going Wyatt."

Her mother had contacted her and she made Seraphina the new Southern Heir and headed to the New Empire, telling her to stop acting like a whiny little girl and start behaving like the Southern Heir she had been raised and destined to become.

Naturally, the conversation had quickly turned heated. Her mother had even undermined her fiancé’s grand vision, pointing out that, beneath all the talk of conquest, innovation, and building a new civilization, he was doing exactly what she herself had spent her life doing.

Building a safe place for the people he loved. The only difference was the scale. Her mother’s safe haven was limited to the Southern Region. His extended far beyond it. His ambitions reached across the entire Card World and, now, even into the Myriad Realms.

Anna hadn’t wouldn’t admit it then, but the comparison had struck a nerve. Now that she knew her mother wasn’t wrong. She blamed her fiance for loving her so much that her Mother turned out to be right.

For all their differences, the mother and son in-law duo were ultimately driven by the same fundamental desire: to create a world where their loved ones could live safely and prosper under their protection.
