Chapter 3099: A New Born, But Not In A Conventional Sense.
Date: Unspecified
Time: Unspecified
Location: Myriad Realms, Lil’ Red Storm Realm, Freedom Megalopolise
Watching the Snow Elven Crown Prince and his remaining clones make their way toward the Lil’ Red Storm Realm’s core, Dalia didn’t appear nearly as concerned as Sansa.
Thalorien and his clones were heading straight for the core, intending to freeze it in a desperate attempt to cripple the realm and destroy the Celestial array formation connected to it.
Sansa, however, knew exactly how dangerous that was. Having infiltrated the Crown Prince’s memories and continued reading them in real time, she knew that if they failed to stop Thalorien and his clones, they wouldn’t lose just one realm. They would lose two.
The Lil’ Red Storm Realm would be destroyed, and so would the Ceed World hiding within its womb.
’Your Highness, use your authority to suppress their realm,’ Sansa urgently reminded Dalia.
As the native ruler of the Lil’ Red Storm Realm, Dalia could use Realm Suppression against invaders who had entered her realm. Once suppressed, their strength would be restricted by the ceiling of the Lil’ Red Storm Realm’s very own power system. It was the most straightforward solution. Sansa believed since that reducing the realm of the Crown Prince and his Clones would
At least, it should have been.
’I haven’t gained one yet,’ Dalia replied. There was a brief pause. Her voice carried a faint trace of embarrassment.
Sansa’s thoughts went blank for a moment, unconsciously blurting, ’...What?’
Dalia was a Celestial born from the union of a Celestial array formation spirit, Primordial Calamity Daughter gem, and the Cursed Primordial Bloodline. She was a true celestial. Her realm may be several million millennia old but she actually was no different than a new born.
She hadn’t even comprehended the necessary rules and their meanings to start an native eco-system in her realm, forget an native power system which would grant her the authority necessary to suppress native and non-native beings, alike, within her own realm.
Dalia cleared her throat, giving a flimsy explanation, ’I have been a little busy.’
’But don’t worry, I have everything under control,’ Dalia assured as she gazed far below them, completely unaware of this rather awkward exchange, Thalorien and his clones continued their descent toward the core of the Lil’ Red Storm Realm.
Meanwhile, Thalorien found the complete lack of resistance increasingly strange.
He and his clone army were invading the realm with the clear intention of reaching its core and destroying it, yet they hadn’t encountered any opposition from the realm’s will. No suppression, no interference, none whatsoever.
The deeper they burrowed into the Lil’ Red Storm Realm, the more Thalorien began to feel that something was wrong. It almost felt as if his enemies were deliberately allowing him to reach the realm’s core. As though they were waiting for him to destroy it.
But Thalorien had already decided not to overthink every unknown variable. He had done enough of that before entering this realm, and it hadn’t exactly led him anywhere useful. Whatever his enemies were planning, he would deal with it when it revealed itself.
For now, he pushed forward. Thalorien and his clones increased their pace, burrowing faster and continuing toward the realm core according to his original plan. Instead of wasting his time trying to predict his enemy’s next move, Thalorien focused on his own.
Freezing and destroying the realm core wasn’t particularly difficult for him. The real problem was what came afterward. Once the core was destroyed, he would be standing at the very center of a dying realm.
The collapse of the Lil’ Red Storm Realm would tear apart its internal structure and release an enormous amount of destructive force. Even with his clone army assisting him, surviving the aftermath while simultaneously collecting the fragments of the realm’s will would be extremely difficult.
The Snow Elven race had a series of items and relics along with procedures dedicated for these tasks and right now he had no way to access the dark realm let alone them. But Thalorien had no intention of leaving empty-handed. The fragments of a realm’s will were far too valuable to abandon.
So, as he continued toward the core, Thalorien began calculating. Which clones would protect him. Which would assist in freezing the core. And which would be sacrificed, if necessary, to secure the realm fragments before the collapsing Lil’ Red Storm Realm buried everything beneath its ruins.
He wasn’t certain what his enemy was up to, but his first priority was to get out of the trap as soon as possible. If he were to benefit a little in the process, lucky him.
When the realm’s core finally came into view, Thalorien could hardly believe that he had reached it with such ease. This wasn’t just the core of a realm. It was also the foundation of a Celestial array formation.
Yet, aside from the initial pull that had dragged him and his clone army into the Lil’ Red Storm Realm and buried in its crust, they hadn’t encountered any meaningful resistance. The realm’s will had done nothing to stop them, and the closer they came to its core, the stranger the entire situation felt.
Still, Thalorien chose not to dwell on it. He had already decided that he wouldn’t allow his enemies’ mysterious behavior to paralyze him with endless speculation. If there was a trap waiting for him, then he would deal with it when it appeared.
For now, the realm’s core was right before his eyes. Thalorien stepped back. He had no intention of personally exposing himself when he had an entire clone army available. With a single command, his clones moved forward and began preparing to unleash their combined power upon the realm’s core.
’Your Highness, any minute now,’ Sansa urged Dalia.
At the same time, Sansa considered whether she should use her Origin Card ability to begin using her memory variants to assassinate the enemies or simply use her Innate Calamity to wipe their memories clean.
She had little hope for the former. Thalorien and his remaining clones were too powerful, and even if she managed to eliminate a few, it wouldn’t change the situation significantly. The latter didn’t have a better chance of succeeding either. Sansa was confident that she could wipe the memories of several of the weaker clones. However, because all of them were connected to the original, she doubted it would accomplish much. The Crown Prince could simply share the information between them or compensate for whatever memories were lost.
Either way, neither option was an ideal solution.
Meanwhile, Dalia merely shook her head. There was no concern or urgency on her face. She watched as the Snow Elven Crown Prince’s clones gathered before the realm’s core, ready to freeze and destroy it.
Then, with undisguised disdain, she uttered a single phrase, "Big Crunch."
