Chapter 3168: Natural Array Formation
Date: Unspecified
Time: Unspecified
Location: Myriad Realms, Realm Of True Evil, Shell Island, Unknown Natural Array Formation
While my thoughts were in chaos, the Scarred Truevil ripped my body to shreds and played around with them by chewing on a few pieces while pissing on others.
My new body took shape behind her using the drop of blood spilled in the air. Sensing me, she discarded my shredded remains and swung her massive fist around, spinning her body with incredible momentum.
The newly formed boundlessly stretched space barrier around me stopped the fist, which was swiftly followed by a blazing low kick. The kick not only burned through the boundlessly stretched space, it burned the lower half of my body clean, and then her lower arms grabbed my two wrists and ripped my arms apart while her other massive upper hand warped around my torso.
This time, she didn’t kill me. Instead, she brought my face right in front of her eyes and opened her beak wide, letting out a deafening screech, making me bleed from all my orifices. My brain scrambled in my skull, turning into a soup of gray matter.
Following the protocol Hive Spirit created, a new body using another drop of blood far away, still free-falling into the lava, and transferred my consciousness into it. The drop was not slow, but the Scarred Truevil was simply too fast.
This was the first time the Primordial Calamity Daughter Gem had failed me. That didn’t bother me as much as the fact that I couldn’t figure out why the Calamity Daughter Gem didn’t work on the Scarred Truevil.
As my thoughts clashed with another, contradicting themselves, I realized I didn’t have enough data. The punch from the Scarred Truevil had sent me flying. As a result, I didn’t get to clearly see what happened when the Calamity Daughter Gem entered her body.
Coming to that conclusion, I immediately gathered my thoughts and stared frustratedly at the Scarred Truevil, who couldn’t understand why she couldn’t find my core with her heat vision.
One of the lava rule meanings she comprehended helped her forge a heat vision rune. With my soul pupils, I could see it reflected in her eyes. That was how she was able to find the Calamity Daughter Gems of the other three Truevils. Yes, my gems had good camouflage, but failed before ruler-class heat vision.
However, in my case, it was of no help to her. Each cell in my body had a core. Even though only one of them was the true core, she didn’t know that, not that I thought she had realized that my body had multiple cores, evenly spread across my body. If she knew that, she would be trying to burn me whole without leaving a single drop of blood behind not keep shredding apart.
I grew my body to match the size of the Scarred Truevil and summoned a pair of floating arms of the same size as her upper arms. Then, dashed at her.
I watched her six limbs and head retreat back into her shell, and it spun, cutting through space like a fiery frisbee at supersonic speed, and then sliced through my body repeatedly in a fraction of a second, dicing it into tiny cubes. It was so fast that even the blood hadn’t yet spilled out. And then, a column of concentrated lava from the pool beneath shot into the air, swallowing those cubes.
The spinning shell came to a halt as the lava column dropped, taking my diced body into the lava pool with it. The Scarred Truevil came out of its shell and stared at the lava with squinted eyes as her natural array told her that I wasn’t dead.
This lava was very much like the surface of a dwarf sun, but not enough to be a threat to my World Calamity Tree/Celestial/Gigamite hybrid body. However, the hybrid body I was so proud of was failing to keep up with the Scarred Truevil. She was way too strong and faster.
And thanks to the natural array formation she laid, I couldn’t use my Thousand Curse Fields or Reality Isolation Seal to make up for the gap.
I slowly surfaced with my reconstructed body, drenched in lava. As the lava dripped from my body, my huge pair of floating arm and my massive figure, the Scarred Truevil let out a war cry once again, blindly charging at me, trying to rip me apart.
No matter how talented and cunning she was, she was still ignorant of millions of rules out in the Myriad Realm.
She seemed to resolve to rip me to shreds until one of us was exhausted to death. With her shallow knowledge, coming to such a conclusion and not falling into despair was already commendable.
As she arrived before me, my four palms interlocked with hers, but I wasn’t able to halt her momentum, not even decrease it. I was being pushed back. I had to use the elasticity rune on the space under my feet, using her force to stretch the sturdy space of the Realm of True Evil to its maximum. Once I stopped applying the rune, the stretched space snapped back together, creating a recoil, using her force against her.
Like an arrow released from a bow, we both were fired into the lava pool below. Even while crashing, her upper arms crushed my floating arms, and her lower arms held me in place as her upper arms blew me head apart repeatedly, while I grew them back again and again as a distraction while I infected her with a Calamity Daughter gem and keenly observed what happened, only to learn that it vanished from body like was never infected, to be more accurate, it teleported out of her body.
I had no idea where it went, but I knew this was not the Scarred Truevil’s ability but the natural array formation we were in.
It seemed she didn’t bring me here just to let loose without worrying about her nest and hatchlings, but also to counter the method I used to turn her cannon fodder against her. I guess her heat vision caught me infecting the other Truevils with a core before they started to do my bidding. That was very perceptive of her.
