Chapter 3190: The Superposition Dilemma

Chapter 3190: The Superposition Dilemma

Date: Unspecified

Time: Unspecified

Location: Myriad Realms, Azorheim, Temporal Cave Valley, Temporal Cave No. ES3030

Putting aside the Demon Merchant Code summons, I decided to focus on the problem at hand because I couldn’t attend the hearing in my current form. After all, the appellants had requested my presence in the inter-realm city court even though it could just as well be held and attended remotely. This gave me the impression that they didn’t just want to hear my side and learn how I left the Realm of True Evil without the help of the Demon Merchant Code. They wanted to meet me.

Why do that? If they wanted to meet me in the inter-realm city, they could have just contacted me. I am sure that since the Demon Merchant Code sold so much information to them, it wouldn’t mind giving my Merchant ID to them for free.

Well, nothing about this whole appeal business made sense to me in the first place. It made me wonder if all the rumours about the Owlape Empire and its Royal Family being tyrannical were just that, rumours, when actually they were quite good people.

Yeah, no way.

Their Crown Prince was called the Deviant Devil.

Do you understand how disturbing one had to be to be labelled as the Deviant by the multiple Dark Races that were actually one of the deviant civilizations in the whole of the Myriad Realms?

They were anything but good. The fact that they purposefully and secretly unleashed the World Calamity Tree in the Realm of True Evil was evidence enough. There was simply no way they could feign ignorance about this.

For goodness’ sake, they monitored the whole of the Realm of True Evil day and night for millennia now. That realm was covered in so many sensory arrays and barrier arrays to monitor each and every native True Evil and merchant visiting the realm.

So, I don’t believe that they had no idea whatsoever that thousands of True Evils were coming together and acting in groups, moving in groups, hunting in groups, etc. Acting against their nature, acting as they feared them to. There was no way the swarms of True Evils moving across the realm didn’t ring any alarms.

It was the doing of the Mulias Royal Family or someone in the Owlape Empire who wanted to overthrow the Mulias Royal Family. Because if their history was any evidence, the last time a race was caught harboring a World Calamity Seed or Tree, all those involved were killed along with the royalty of the race by the forces of the Librarian for not doing their duty properly, which was to enforce the will of the Librarian in their race.

Yep, here, the rules were for the weak to cower behind, not to stop the strong.

Shaking my head, I turned my attention back to deciphering the noise from the World Calamity Tree.

Considering the appeal would be held in one hour, Dark Realm Time Zone, I didn’t have a lot of time even with the time dilution of Azorheim’s Temporal Cave. Because I had a feeling that if things continued at my current pace, it might take me several centuries or even millennia to decipher the noise and revert my appearance. Given the time frame I had, I could make up for it even with the help of the time dilution of Azorheim’s Temporal Cave.

The problem was superposition. Theoretically, I didn’t have a problem, but as I applied it practically, I wasn’t able to get the result I had in my mind.

That was because, though my Duality Trait allowed me to exist in the spiritual and physical planes simultaneously, what it was actually doing was allowing me to have a spiritual body in the spiritual plane and a physical body in the physical plane, and they were connected through my spiritual channel in my Primordial Calamity Soul Gem. I wasn’t spiritual and physical at the same time. I just had two bodies, one was spiritually present and the other was physically present.

I had to be both spiritual and physical at the same time. If I were, then maybe I didn’t have to worry about mimicking the noise. I could actually produce it.

But the question was, how do I be spiritual and physical at the same time?

As I pondered on that, my mind somehow wandered to questioning how a World Calamity Tree was able to devour a realm.

I only knew it as Dungeon Calamity Tree. Beyond that, I never bothered to explore it. First, because I was ill-formed, and later, when I was informed, I just didn’t have time until now that I was forced to ponder it.

I still had all the soul pathways and arrangements of the Dungeon Calamity Seed I used to create my Soul Gem.

Yep, I was going back to basics. If you’re stuck, going back to basics was one of the good ways to clear the block.

Hive Spirit and I got to recovering the Soul Pathways and arrangements of the Dungeon Calamity Seed from memories and ran simulations to see what happens if you were to plant it in a realm. I chose the Card World for the simulations because it was the realm I had the most information about. Not to forget, I contacted it with its Celestial Will.

Yes, there was Little Red Storm Realm too, but it was not actually a realm but a huge array that recently attained Celestialhood. There were simply too many variations from a traditional realm. Besides, it was barren, and planting a Dungeon Calamity Seed would be useless as it would never be able to reach its first form. Since there were no lifeforms on it, if there were no lifeforms, how would it feed itself to reach the ceiling of the realm’s power system, break it, and then start devouring the realm itself? Not to forget, it was already a bloodkin.

So, the Card World was the correct choice for the trial. It had Supreme Beings, the incarnations of the Card World’s Celestial Will’s Rule Stream Spirits. There was a lot to test there. Unlike the Lil’ Red Storm Realm, which only had the Space Rule Stream and had hardly formed a spirit yet.
