Chapter 2522: Chapter 2522: You Really Know How To Act

Seeing their friend being caught by the tree branches, they finally realised that this place was really haunted by something that even the daiost priests could not deal with. They ran away, leaving their trapped friend. However, after running away, they always returned to the same place where their friend had been trapped.

They finally understood that the things which haunted this place would not let them leave. They immediately knelt down to nothing. Even kowtowed their heads to the ground.

"Please forgive us. We promise we will never come to this place again. Please let us leave. We don’t want to die here." One of the men begged.

Then, they heard some laugh. It was a voice’s children. So, the ghosts were children. Then, they thought about something that children might like.

"How about we have some toys for you?" One of the daiost priests said.

They wanted to lure the ghosts out, thinking they could deal with the ghosts if they could see them. Then, they felt the breeze again.

"Toys? What kind of toy that you have?"

The daiost priest who spoke earlier froze because he clearly heard the voice right next to his ear. He wanted to scream but he held back.

"If you want some toys, you need to show yourself first." The daiost priest tried to coax the ghosts to show themselves first.

Xiaohua and Xiaoliu wanted to see what kind of trick this man had. Instead of revealing themselves, they manipulated the tree branches into a child figure. The child figure formed from the tree branches appeared in front of them.

The Daoist priest smiled when he saw this. As expected, a child would always be a child. He drew his sword and a talisman. He smacked the talisman on the child and hit it with the sword. The child immediately burst into flame.

Right on cue, they heard an agonised voice crying in pain.

"What is this? A flame? No!!! You told me that you would give me a toy."

The men and the Daoist priests thought they had won against the ghost laughed at that voice. They already stood up and no longer kneeling down.

"Serve you right, damn ghost." A man said.

"If you don’t want to be hurt anymore, tell me what’s in that grave." One of the men stated.

"Yeah." The Daoist priest also joined in.

Then, the crying voice disappeared.

"So, you think you can control me?" A child suddenly laughed.

The tree branches immediately surrounded the men and the Daoist priests. The tree branches caught their legs and lit them up. The fire on the child figure disappeared.

"What a stupid trick that you have here." A child’s voice commented.

"Do you think their meat will be delicious if we burn them?" Another child’s voice could be heard.

The men realised there were two children. The thing that the second child said was frightening. What did he mean by ’their meat will be delicious if we burn them’? Did the children want to eat them?

"Hmm... It has been a while since I ate the human beings." The first child said.

"Then, should we eat them?" The second child asked.

"No... Please... Please... Don’t eat us." The men began to beg the children again.

"No... We can’t. Master does not allow us to eat them." The first child said.

"Oh..." The second child was feeling disappointed.

Hearing that, the men and the Daiost priests felt relieved. They even felt grateful to whoever owned these ghost children.

"But I think we can drink some of their blood." The first child stated.

"Hmm... I want it." The second child said.

The men were shocked. Then, one of them shouted in pain. His hand had been slashed by something sharp. He tried to pull his hand up, but to no avail. His hand had been held by something strong. It was not a child’s strength. Then, they heard a sound of someone sucking something.

So, the children’s ghost was capable of sucking their blood. They tried to struggle from the tree branches. The Daoist priests tried to burn the tree branches, but still nothing.

"Let’s suck another one." The first child said.

"Yes." The second child replied in a cheerful tone.

The men and the daiost priests looked at the man who was just being sucked of his blood. He did not move because he lost his consciousness. They thought he had already died.

One by one, their blood had been sucked. They could not do anything to prevent that from happening. They finally lost their consciousness.

"Master, they are finally out," Xiaohua said.

"You really know about to act." Yu Qi was speechless as she had watched Xiaohua and Xiaoliu perform.

"We learn by watching the drama with Neko-chan, right, Xiaoliu?" Xiaohua said.

"Hmm..." Xiaoliu nodded.

They had not been drinking the blood of these men. They were just acting out. Well, they indeed slashed the men’s wrists. To make them lose their consciousness, they injected something into the men’s blood.

"What are we going to do with them, Master? Can we eat them?" Xiaohua asked with an expectant look.

"Nope... We will be good citizens and report them to the authorities for trespassing. They will be punished by the law." Yu Qi said.

"Oh..." The two children were clearly disappointed.

Yu Qi was speechless again. These two really wanted to eat these humans.
