Chapter 2675: Want To Sue Yu Qi

Chapter 2675: Want To Sue Yu Qi

Being told off so publicly and aggressively by Chen Song, the man felt deeply embarrassed and immediately clamped his mouth shut, his face turning a shade of sour red. Chen Song himself was at a loss for words.

’Young and inexperienced?’ Chen Song thought bitterly.

If she were truly like that, how could she have possibly built such a massive, terrifying business empire in only a few short years? She was a genius, decisive, frighteningly intelligent, and highly calculative. In front of a woman of her calibre, even his decades of corporate experience seemed nearly useless.

Suddenly, the heavy mahogany double doors at the back of the hall swung open with a resounding, echoing thud.

Yu Qi walked into the crowded hall with composed, steady, and purposeful steps. She slowly swept her gaze around the room, taking in every face. These people were Chen Song’s relatives, the "dead weight" she was about to cut loose. She had already spotted Chen Song among the crowd the very moment she stepped through the doors. She also spotted some people who should not be here.

The casual chatter in the hall died down almost instantly as her presence filled the room. She was not alone. Lei Yingtai accompanied her, walking a half-step behind with a professional, stony expression. Yu Qi walked straight toward the podium. Her high heels clicked rhythmically and sharply against the polished marble floor, sounding exactly like the relentless countdown of a ticking clock.

"Hello, everyone. I am Tang Yu Qi. You are probably all wondering why I asked you to gather in this hall on such short notice today. Let me be clear. This is not a social gathering, nor is it a simple performance review to discuss your career goals. Instead, this marks the final day of your employment with this company... with the sole exception of the six people whose names are currently being displayed on this list." Yu Qi said calmly, her voice echoing with chilling authority.

Lei Yingtai then projected the contents of her laptop screen onto the large display at the front of the hall, revealing the six names in bright, unforgiving light. The room immediately exploded into a chaotic, deafening chorus of gasps, angry shouts, and indignant protests.

"You can’t do that! This is completely illegal!" one man shouted from the back, half-rising from his seat and pointing an accusing finger.

"On whose authority are we being dismissed so suddenly?" Another woman cried out, her voice rising to a shrill pitch of pure panic.

"On whose authority, you ask?" Yu Qi glanced coldly at the rowdy crowd, her eyes like chips of ice. "Mine. It is my company, my capital, and my vision. I have the absolute, undisputed authority to fire anyone who does not meet my standards."

"You cannot do this to us! We have rights! This is illegal!" Another person shouted, trying to rally the others.

"Yeah! We can sue you for wrongful termination and emotional distress!"

"That’s right! We will see you in court! We will sue!"

The crowd seemed to think that Yu Qi would become frightened or reconsider the moment they mentioned legal action. However, to their absolute horror, Yu Qi suddenly burst into a fit of genuine laughter.

They all stared at her with a strange, hollow, and uneasy feeling in their chests. Usually, high-level bosses would panic or call for their legal teams when employees threatened a lawsuit, but Yu Qi seemed not to care in the slightest. In fact, she seemed amused.

"You all truly want to sue me?" Yu Qi asked once her laughter subsided.

She finally spoke again, but every trace of warmth or amusement had vanished entirely from her face. Her gaze became sharp, piercing, and incredibly dangerous.

"Well... you are perfectly free to sue us if you wish to waste your time. We have prepared mountains of undeniable proof showing that we are not in the wrong here. Lying about your professional credentials, systematically neglecting your assigned duties, bullying the lower-level staff, and blatant embezzlement... do you really want me to continue listing your crimes in front of everyone?" Yu Qi said coolly, her voice dropping an octave. Then, her lips curved into a razor-thin, cold smile. "Oh... and I should mention, I am also currently planning to sue several of you for the aforementioned embezzlement. My lawyers are very eager to meet you."

When the specific individuals who had committed those egregious wrongdoings heard Yu Qi’s chilling accusations, their faces turned a sickly, deathly pale, as if the blood had suddenly been drained from their bodies. Despite the cold fear gripping their hearts, they tried their absolute best to act as though nothing had happened, desperately maintaining a fragile façade of professional calm. In their arrogant minds, they clung to the desperate belief that Yu Qi was merely making a bold bluff to intimidate them into silence. It seemed fundamentally impossible to them that she could truly possess concrete, documented evidence of all their various crimes and subtle manipulations.

Then, with the precision of a predator, Yu Qi shifted her focus and made direct, piercing eye contact with the specific individuals who clearly should not have been present in the hall in the first place.

"I do not know exactly what your motivations were for coming here today, but you should understand quite clearly that I have every legal right to sue you for trespassing on private corporate property." Yu Qi spoke calmly, her tone remaining firm, unwavering, and devoid of any hesitation.

Everyone in the room who did not immediately understand the sharp implication of her words became visibly confused. A wave of murmurs broke out as people began whispering frantically among themselves, quietly asking the person sitting next to them for some form of clarification regarding who she was targeting.
