Chapter 2829: Surprised By Long Hui’s Strength

Chapter 2829: Chapter 2829: Surprised By Long Hui’s Strength

Master Liang’s brow furrowed tightly when he caught sight of Qin Xia’s strangely passive reaction. He had fully expected the Ancestor to intervene the split second he initiated the surprise attack on Long Hui. Yet, Qin Xia did not even show the slightest hint of interest in stepping in to stop him.

Because Master Liang was pouring almost all of his focus and awareness into watching Qin Xia, he completely failed to notice that Long Hui had already raised his palm, calmly preparing a counterstrike.

The instant Long Hui’s palm struck Master Liang’s chest, a sharp scream of agony burst from the attacker’s throat.

"Argh!"

The sheer impact sent Master Liang’s body flying backwards through the air before he crashed heavily onto the hard concrete ground.

Master Liang lay there in utter shock. He had never in his wildest dreams expected Long Hui to be capable of deflecting his strike, let alone hurting him so effortlessly! How could a mere mortal who possessed no cultivation power possibly inflict such devastating force upon him?

"You! You! How can this be..." Master Liang growled through gritted teeth, pointing a trembling finger up at Long Hui.

His face was completely pale, contorted in a mix of rage and pure disbelief.

"Brother Hui... I think he is genuinely mystified by how you managed to hurt him so easily." Yu Qi chuckled, shaking her head softly. She then shifted her cold gaze down to Master Liang. "I am truly sorry to disappoint your grand assumption, but we are not helpless mortals. In fact, we are the exact same as you."

Without another second of delay, Yu Qi and Long Hui simultaneously unsealed and released their massive cultivation auras.

The instant the overwhelming, suffocating pressure swept across the room like a violent storm, Master Liang’s expression shattered entirely. Still lying on the ground after being hurled back by Long Hui’s strike, he froze in horror as the terrifying wave of spiritual energy crashed over him.

They are cultivators as well?! How on earth is that even possible?! Master Liang’s mind spiralled into complete chaos.

He simply could not bring himself to believe what his senses were telling him. The two individuals whom he had arrogantly dismissed as ordinary, fragile human beings were actually formidable cultivators all along! What frightened him even more was the sudden realisation that their combined cultivation power felt vastly superior and far more refined than his own.

Master Liang’s face drained of all colour, turning entirely ghastly white. In that terrifying moment, he finally understood why Qin Xia had looked so completely relaxed and unbothered when he had rushed forward to attack Long Hui earlier. Qin Xia had never been worried about Long Hui’s safety for even a fraction of a second. He had known from the very beginning that Long Hui was more than capable of handling the assault effortlessly on his own.

In fact, a bitter truth suddenly dawned upon Master Liang: he was the foolish one who had severely underestimated his opponents from the very start. He had foolishly assumed that Yu Qi and Long Hui were merely ordinary mortals relying on the supreme Ancestor for shielding and guidance.

Now, he realised just how dead wrong he had been.

They had never needed the Ancestor to protect them in the first place. They possessed more than enough raw power to protect themselves and crush anyone who dared cross them.

Sensing the immediate and overwhelming threat to his life, Master Liang abandoned all thoughts of fighting back and abruptly changed his tactics. He spun around, attempting to make a desperate dash back toward the inner chamber he had just emerged from. Unfortunately, before he could even manage to take a single step inside, he was caught completely off guard.

"I am truly sorry, but we aren’t going to let you slip away from us that easily." Yu Qi grinned playfully, stepping up to block his escape route.

A surge of genuine panic began to grip Master Liang’s heart. Under normal circumstances, he was indisputably the strongest authority figure in this realm. Nobody here could ever hope to threaten him, and he had always maintained supreme confidence in his formidable strength. But right now, standing in front of these three individuals, he realized with terrifying clarity that he was by far the weakest among them all.

"Let me take us in." Yu Qi said calmly.

Qin Xia and Long Hui instantly moved closer to Yu Qi. Long Hui firmly restrained Master Liang, his left hand tightly gripping the man by his collar to prevent him from pulling off any sudden, sneaky maneuvers, while his right hand held Yu Qi’s hand securely.

At the same time, Yu Qi reached out with her other hand and grasped Qin Xia’s wrist.

In the span of a single split second, the dark, concrete room around them vanished entirely.

Master Liang stood completely frozen in shock as he took in his new surroundings. He looked around in absolute disbelief, his eyes darting frantically from one lush landscape to another as he struggled to comprehend where he had been transported.

Then, he took a breath and felt the very air surrounding them.

An extraordinarily potent wave of spiritual power saturated every corner of the entire space. The spiritual energy drifting through the atmosphere here was unimaginably dense, vastly outmatching anything he had ever encountered even in the depths of the cultivation world.

’What on earth is this place?!’ Master Liang was utterly stunned, his mind racing to process the impossible environment.

Then, a distant memory suddenly resurfaced in his mind.

He recalled an ancient legend stating that, over a thousand years ago, a remarkably gifted woman had created a legendary pocket dimension filled with an insanely rich concentration of spiritual power, a space far beyond what any natural cultivation realm could ever provide.
