Chapter 1195: Kalyndor

Being a Legendary Rank did not mean one was invincible. It just meant they wouldn’t die so easily and had absolute power over the ones below.

They weren’t omniscient and couldn’t be omnipresent either.

The founding father could not keep everyone in check. He tried to do damage control but it was too late.

One of the wives who was a vampire slept with another vampire and gave out the secrets of the Asuras she knew.

The development was rapid and the woman made her children kill the Asuras who did not belong to her lineage. The Asuras were technically humans and natural prey of the vampires.

The vampires powered up and developed alongside the Asuras.

The founding father had to work very hard to exterminate the vampires and stop the internal struggles of the clan.

Before he could solve all the problems, he was ambushed and killed by the vampires.

The Asura God Clan went through a period of struggle but due to the founder being someone from the Upper Realm, they had a lot of treasures and survived.

The three children who were considered royals inherited the founder’s legacy. They were strong and resilient, eventually becoming Legendary Ranks and taking complete control of the Asura God Clan.

However, as the infighting was too much, they could not focus on the emerging vampire clan.

The vampire clan wasn’t strict with their rules. They did not have a noble hierarchy either. They were a council and took in anyone who was talented and a vampire.

They were not one family and they did not have trouble taking in outsiders either. It was their founder’s name that was Evure which continued on to be used to honor the legacy. Only those of his direct lineage inherited the name, but other than that, the clan was a mix of individuals.

According to the Asura historians, that clan had nothing to act as foundation. However, they ended up finding something which allowed them to become Legendary Ranks faster.

They also found a way to find young children possessing an all elemental affinity and groomed them to Legendary Ranks, eventually becoming the number one powerhouse of Shen Ze.

The Asura God Clan could not match them and they did not have a means to stop them either due to how fast that clan was growing.

It only took them half a million years from their foundation to become the number one.

The Asura God Clan was yet to finish their overall infighting.

Two million years after the Asura God Clan’s foundation, the infighting stabilized. The three royals took complete control. Every single Asura other than the founder’s wives were in their mind control.

They then went on to massacre every wife of the founder, even the most loyal ones. Their mother was dead and they did not have any attachment to the rest.

"...and thus, there were no outsiders within the clan, two million years after its foundation. Our three royal ancestors were smart enough to ensure the bloodline wasn’t misused by outsiders and they placed restrictions on everyone, including their children, which made one turn to ash if in the hands of outsiders."

The Asura Queen finished speaking of their dark history.

The Crown Prince and the Princess frowned.

"We too have the restrictions?" The Princess asked.

"Yes." The Queen replied. "It’s complicated and generations of royalties have worked on removing it, but our three royal ancestors were too cunning and cruel. They also added a mechanism which made one self-destruct if they tried to remove these seals."

"With so many restrictions, just how in the world did someone remove the control?" The Princess asked again.

Such a tight mechanism helped the Asuras stand tall for so many years despite many Asuras falling into the hands of the Evure God Clan members.

There was a deep hatred for the Evures as it literally existed due to the founder’s wife cheating on him.

The Evure God Clan members also had a doctrine to kill all Asuras they could find except for their First Lady’s lineage.

Over the course of millions of years, the First Lady’s lineage ceased to exist as the Asura royals themselves killed them off.

Once the Evure God Clan realized this, they went all out against the Asura God Clan as this meant they could kill any Asura without worries.

The hatred was too irreconcilable between the two clans and far too deep.

The Crown Prince watched the screens and found the royal court getting completely destroyed. The throne where the king once sat was taken outside and set on fire for everyone to watch.

His expression turned grave and he said, "Except the royals, everyone was under control. Who could the traitor be?"

The Asura Queen’s eyes turned sharp as she came across a few names in the scroll.

Her gaze eventually landed on a name. It was a person from the royal family that died five hundred thousand years ago.

"There were a few royals throughout history who fell in love with outsiders. However, they were killed the moment others found out. By others, I mean to say..."

The three royal ancestors knew there would be a lot of power struggle between their kids. They also knew that if they had many children, a repeat of the previous problem would occur.

Hence, the three came up with a plan.

The eldest ancestor would only have one son and the youngest would only have one daughter.

The middle could have either a son or a daughter, whichever was their firstborn.

The son of the eldest ancestor would marry the daughter of the youngest ancestor and both would always give birth to one granddaughter and one grandson.

One of them would then be married to the middle ancestor’s child and have two children, one daughter and one son.

The middle ancestor’s grandchild would then marry the eldest and youngest ancestor’s unmarried grandchild.

Just like this, they would continue the cycle for eternity.

The three ancestors wrote in their legacy that if any of their descendants were to break this cycle, the clan would collapse.

There were a few descendants who fell in love with outsiders and wanted to have children with them.

They were killed mercilessly and the clan stood tall.

"...however, if I’m not wrong..." The Asura Queen’s calm face now showed signs of frustration as she knitted her brows and stared at the name of the Asura from five hundred thousand years ago.

"...my uncle or His Majesty’s second brother, Kalyndor, fell in love with a woman from the Evure God Clan. By the time we found out, it was too late as they were on the run."

"Uncle Kalyndor!?!" The Crown Prince and the Princess both exclaimed. They did not know of this up until now!

In a family, the children should technically call their mother’s uncle as grand uncle, but among Asuras, such may not be the case.

The Queen’s uncle could very well be her children’s uncle too, as in the current case.

The current King had a sister and a brother. His sister had a daughter and the current king ended up marrying her, eventually having two children.

Thus, to the Queen and her children, Kalyndor was their uncle.

"It should be him. Because the other case was from two million years ago and everything else from much prior to that. I still vividly remember how he was chased to the end by His Majesty and the Legendaries from the Evure God Clan."

The Crown Prince frowned and asked, "But we did not feel any resonance from our bloodline. If uncle Kalyndor had a child, we would’ve known. There’s no one whose Asura bloodline we cannot feel."

The Queen sighed at this, seemingly tired from recalling the past and going through the disastrous current.

"I wasn’t there but from His Majesty, I heard that uncle Kalyndor put up a fight to death. Uncle was stronger than His Majesty, so His Majesty had to team up with the ones from the Evure God Clan to fight him. This was the first and the only time our clan worked with them. Due to uncle stalling him, the woman from the Evure God Clan was able to run. From there, she was helped by her brother and her brother’s friend. What happened next, I don’t know. His Majesty never divulged the rest."

"There was so much father did not tell us?" The Princess was shocked.

The Queen nodded her head. "His Majesty did not want you to hate uncle Kalyndor."

"But it’s due to uncle Kalyndor that our clan’s on the verge of collapse..." The Crown Prince said and frowned.

"No. Our clan won’t collapse as long as we, the royals, exist. You two have a few cousins you aren’t aware of. They’ve stayed hidden in other dimensions. As long as you have children with them, we can continue the legacy of the clan and rebuild it." The Queen answered calmly.

The Princess knitted her brows and said, "And our children will have children with each other, isn’t that right?"

The Queen nodded and then sighed, as if tired of something.

"The restrictions on us do not allow us to have children with outsiders. Uncle might be the only one who bypassed it, and with him, the secret’s gone. This means..."

The Queen took an uncomfortable pause.

The Crown Prince and the Princess both had grave expressions.

The Asura Queen continued, "If the need arises, your children might have to procreate with me to have more children. It cannot be helped."

"..." The Princess had a twisted expression on her face while a vein popped Crown Prince’s head. He clutched the armrest and bit his lip, hard enough to have blood seep out.

"Uncle Kalyndor... what have you done..."
