Blacksmith: You Are Making Mjolnir For The Forging Exam?

Chapter 380 - 380 Set Off

380 Set Off

Wei Ge could not help but feel envious when he saw how Elder Huang praised Wu Mo outside the office.

However, he still felt that Elder Huang was exaggerating. He could not help but whisper, “Do you have to go that far? It’s just a Three-dimensional Maneuver Gear. I admit that he’s incredibly skilled, but it’s not the point that someone like him won’t come by in another 100 years.”

...

Elder Huang instantly frowned when he heard Wei Ge mumbling.

“Until now, you still haven’t understood the principle behind the Three-dimensional Maneuver Gear and why it has so many functions! Yet, you have the nerve to say that!”

After he spoke, Elder Huang sighed as he looked in the direction where Wu Mo had disappeared. “I have a feeling that if Wu Mo maintains the fiery academic spirit in his heart, it won’t be long before he breaks the shackles of the seven-star realm. He might even become like Lieutenant General Lu Yuansheng one day.”

Wei Ge felt his scalp go numb the moment he heard Elder Huang’s words.

In the White River province, very few had been able to reach Lieutenant General Lu Yuansheng’s level.

On top of that, a middle-stage seven-star cultivator had endless energy.

Usually, those who had reached this rank were old men with white hair. They would also be in charge of a region.

The recovery of spirit energy had been going on for 100 years. Those who could reach the middle-stage of seven stars before the age of 40 were some of the most powerful in the province.

If Wu Mo actually reached the same rank before 40 just as Elder Huang had predicted, White River’s status in the Nine Provinces would probably rise, and it might even be on par with Red Heart.

Thinking of this, Wei Ge felt a little excited, but he quickly calmed down.

The seven-star rank was like a star in the sky to ordinary people or those with poor talent. It was difficult to reach in their lifetime.

It would be difficult even for Wu Mo to reach seven stars.

There was a higher probability that he would not be able to reach it and his confidence would be affected. He would be stuck at the peak of six stars until he died of old age.

Such cases were commonplace.

Wei Ge took a deep breath and looked at the cars that kept coming and going below the office building. “It’s cold outside. Let’s go in, Sir.”

Elder Huang nodded, and the two of them returned to the office.

On the other side, Wu Mo also had mixed feelings as he made his way back.

It was already 11.30 am, and there was only an hour left before he would leave in the military vehicle.

“Sniff, sniff…

“What’s that smell? It’s so fragrant.”

Wu Mo passed by a staff member, and a fragrance that made him salivate immediately filled his nose.

Wu Mo looked back and noticed that the staff member was holding a meal packed in a disposable lunch box. Through the water droplets formed by condensation, he could vaguely see the roast pork and garlic inside.

“It’s true that I’m leaving, but no matter how anxious I am, I should at least have a meal at the armory before I go.”

Wu Mo’s eyes lit up, and he instantly became excited. Without any hesitation, he changed his route and jogged toward the cafeteria.

By the time he arrived at the cafeteria, it was almost 11.50 am.

In the past, Wu Mo would visit the cafeteria when there were not many people around. Since it was currently mealtime, the moment he pushed the door open and stepped inside, he saw many people lining up to get their food.

Wu Mo would usually sit in a corner by a window. Fortunately, there were not many people around his spot at this time.

After he looked around, Wu Mo finally found a lane with fewer people in line to order food.

About ten minutes later, he arrived at his usual seat with a plate full of food.

Since he was in a hurry, Wu Mo did not order anything from the waiter. Instead, he picked a random staff meal that looked good.

In comparison to their ala carte menu items, there were not many selections when it came to staff meals provided for ordinary staff. Nonetheless, they were still quite sumptuous.

He had meat and vegetables, as well as a bowl of carrot soup that could warm the stomach.

Wu Mo’s appetite was great. He did not care about the gazes of the staff around him as he buried his head in the food.

Perhaps it was because this was his last meal at the armory.

Wu Mo felt as if he had been baptized after the meal. Besides, the coldness in his body had disappeared.

“It’s almost time to go.”

Looking at the time on his phone, Wu Mo slowly stood up.

He looked around and imprinted the familiar and lively scene in his mind.

Then, he walked out of the cafeteria without any hesitation.

At 12.40 pm, Wu Mo stored all his personal belongings in his Interspatial Ring.

He also took some time to drop by the research facility and clear all the data related to the Three-dimensional Maneuver Gear in the office.

It was already close to 1.00 pm when he was done.

Just as Wu Mo was about to reach the armory’s entrance, the phone in his pocket rang.

“Hello, Mr. Wu Mo. I’m the liaison officer whom Academician Xu assigned to pick you up. I’m sending you to the Research Department…”

“Alright, I’ll be there immediately.”

After Wu Mo hung up, he quickened his pace and promptly arrived at the armory’s gate.

A special green army vehicle had parked not far away from the gate.

There were three people standing next to the military vehicle. The one at the front was the liaison officer who had contacted Wu Mo on the phone earlier. The other two were escorts who were also a requirement when picking up important personnel. They were all early-stage six-star cultivators.

“Take care, Mr. Wu.”

Wu Mo then returned his staff pass to the security guards and hurried out.

Two security guards in uniform waved goodbye to him with eyes full of respect.

Soon, Wu Mo was seated in the military vehicle. The two escorting cultivators sat in the back row with him to ensure his safety at all times.

“Let’s go!” he said heavily.

Wu Mo took one last look at the scenery inside the armory and the rusty red metal words above the gate.

“Alright!” the liaison officer responded and immediately stepped on the accelerator.

Soon, the military vehicle carrying Wu Mo left the armory’s vicinity and headed toward the Fifth Research Department.

Wu Mo had mixed feelings as he looked at the scenery outside the window.

Although he had only been in the armory for two months, he had learned a lot and seen forging equipment that was integrated with the best technology.

“Sigh, I hope that one day in the future, I’ll be able to see Elder Huang, Wei Ge, and the others again.”

Wu Mo calmed down and started to think about what kind of problem Academician Xu was facing. What made him so anxious for him to go back?

“Liaison Officer, did Academician Xu say anything to you before you came to the armory?” Wu Mo sat up straight and asked curiously.

Academician Xu sent the liaison officer over after all. Perhaps he knew the reason.
