41 Luo Feng Is Both Studious And A Teacher?
“Teacher Yu, don’t just keep staring at Luo Feng’s paper. The average score of your class wasn’t high in the last exam, if I remember correctly.” Teacher Zhang sneered.
Everyone knew that Luo Feng from Class One had scored full marks in all subjects and was sitting in the first seat in the examination room ever since the Oath-Taking Rally. Teacher Zhang could not stand Teacher Yu’s smugness.
...“I treat the students equally. I didn’t expect Luo Feng to be enlightened so quickly. Thank you for your reminder, Teacher Zhang. I’ll be more careful in the future,” Teacher Yu replied.
No matter what Teacher Zhang said, she would shut up immediately whenever Luo Feng was mentioned.
She had been in the industry for almost 20 years and had never seen a genius who scored full marks in all subjects after all.
“Hehe, work hard then. I hope your class’s average score can increase a little.” Teacher Zhang replied unhappily.
“Thank you for your auspicious words. I also hope that your class will produce a top student.” Teacher Yu smiled.
Luo Feng’s results alone were enough for her to brag about for the rest of her life. Hence, Teacher Yu could sit firmly on the high ground and treat Teacher Zhang as being jealous.
However, Teacher Zhang’s words also reminded her that many small fries were covered up under Luo Feng’s halo of full marks for all subjects. It was completely impossible for him to pull up the average alone. The other students had to improve their results with haste.
Teacher Yu cracked her knuckles at the thought of this. She had to use high-pressure methods from now on!
…
“Boohoohoo, where do I get the face to go back and tell my father? He specially took a break from work to watch over my studies at home. I’ve worked hard for nothing this month.”
Lei Jin sat in his seat and covered his face, sighing in self-disgust when the test results were about to be announced.
“It’s not as bad as you think. I think your math results must have improved significantly.” Luo Feng comforted him.
The answers for the Chinese Language Examination were categorized as comprehension-type questions. One could score as long as they were somewhat close to it. Mathematics was different. Right and wrong were as obvious as day. Some students relied on Mathematics to score.
Lei Jin could jump from the lower bottom ranks to the higher ranks if his math score increased by 60 points.
“Brother, don’t comfort me. I know my level best. I’ve let you and Sister-in-law down.” Lei Jin was so depressed that he couldn’t raise any confidence. He trusted his judgment more no matter how Luo Feng persuaded him.
“We’ve just had different final answers. What I wrote should be similar to what you wrote.” Luo Feng didn’t lie at all.
However, Lei Jin refused to listen.
Luo Feng was thinking about how to cheer Lei Jin up when a classmate suddenly appeared at the door and shouted. “Lei Jin, Teacher Yu wants you to go to the office.”
Lei Jin shuddered, his face filled with horror, as though he was facing the end of the world.
Everyone in the class knew very well what it meant to be called to the office alone by a teacher on the eve of the results.
They looked at Lei Jin sympathetically and were worried that they would be the next to be called.
“What did I tell you!” Lei Jin stood up in resignation. “Brother, I’m going!”
Luo Feng watched Lei Jin leave and was slightly speechless. He was only going to the office, not the execution ground. Why didn’t Lei Jin believe him?
…
Teacher’s office.
Teacher Yu held the test paper in her hand and frowned. Soon, the corners of her mouth curled up uncontrollably. Her crying and laughing expression was like an AI robot that had lost control.
“Teacher, why are you looking for me?” Lei Jin walked in dejectedly.
Teacher Yu immediately smiled when she saw him. She took out her most amiable voice and said, “Lei Jin, how do you think you did this time?”
“I think I… I didn’t do well…”
“Why not?” Teacher Yu continued to smile.
“I… I don’t know either. I just feel so…”
“Why do you feel this way?” Teacher Yu continued to laugh.
Lei Jin’s heart was already dead. He felt all the hair on his body stand on end seeing Teacher Yu’s unexplained gentleness. “Teacher Yu, if you have something to say, just say it. Don’t keep smiling at me. I’m afraid!” He begged.
“What are you afraid of?” Teacher Yu said fiercely. Her good mood instantly turned gloomy. “Am I going to eat you?”
“What do you want from me?”
“You did well this time. Take a look at it yourself.” Teacher Yu handed Lei Jin’s paper to him.
Lei Jin opened the paper and widened his eyes in disbelief.
“118?” He was surprised and repeatedly confirmed that the name and student number were his. His scores usually hovered around 30 to 40 points so he really couldn’t believe that he had not only passed but had also scored more than 100 points!
“Am I dreaming?!” Lei Jin pinched his face hard, tears flowing out of his eyes from the pain. “Is this really my paper?”
Teacher Yu did not believe it at first. If not for the fact that the average standard of the eighth examination room was low, so low that there was no one he could copy from, she would have suspected that Lei Jin had cheated too.
However, this thought only lasted for a moment. She still believed in her student’s character and would not lie to herself. She firmly believed that it was Lei Jin’s strength now that she saw this child’s silly appearance.
“Lei Jin, you improved too fast. Can you tell me how you did it?” Teacher Yu asked sincerely.
She really wanted to promote it to the entire class and raise the average score if Lei Jin’s learning method was feasible.
“It’s Luo Feng!” Lei Jin read out that person’s name gratefully. “I go to Luo Feng’s house every day after the evening self-study. I’m tutored for at least an hour before going back. By the way, Ai Tingya studies with us too.”
“I see.” Teacher Yu nodded in surprise.
She seemed to have thought of something and found Ai Tingya’s test paper. Her results had indeed improved a lot. Ai Tingya seemed to have gotten the concepts in geometry right even though it was something she struggled with in the past.
Teacher Yu asked. “Is Luo Feng good at teaching?”
“Yes!” Lei Jin nodded heavily. “I could understand and memorize the knowledge points that I didn’t understand in class after he explained it.”
Teacher Yu suddenly felt a little weird when she heard that. She taught mathematics and was the form teacher of Class One, but Class One’s mathematics results were always not good.
“Does Luo Feng teach better than me?” Teacher Yu regretted it the moment she asked. Why was she competing with her student…
“Hmm… Do you want to hear the truth or a lie…”
Lei Jin’s attitude had already explained everything. Teacher Yu was deeply hurt. “Forget it. Go back to the classroom and help me bring the lesson plan over first.”
“But the next class is physical education…”
“Your physical education teacher is sick.”
He was already in the third year of high school, yet he still wanted to attend physical education class.
Teacher Yu originally wanted to let them off, but she suddenly experienced her first sense of danger in her career from a student after teaching Mathematics for almost twenty years.
She really couldn’t accept the fact that she wasn’t as good as Luo Feng in teaching.
“No! How can I be angry with a student about this as a teacher! I have to keep improving and learning! I have to see what’s so special about Luo Feng’s teachings and learn from him humbly!”
Teacher Yu encouraged herself and ran towards the classroom in her high heels.
