184 Betrayal
“Then search again!” Meng Heng stared at the building beside him in a panic.
Zou Sheng suddenly had an ominous feeling. “Perhaps this is the act of a criminal that slipped through the net in the previous case? Did we miss out anyone during our anti-drug operation?”
Wu Zheng shook his head. “I don’t know, but I hope that’s not the case. Otherwise, Shen Yin’s life might be in danger.”
“I’m here! Are you Captain Wu?” Li Zi rushed to the location and hurriedly got out of the car. Her gaze quickly swept across the three people at the scene and she said in disappointment, “You still haven’t found Shen Yin?”
“Calm down. Let’s split up and look for her.” Meng Heng comforted Li Zi as he hesitantly sent a message to Lian Jing, who was still on the plane, to tell him about Shen Yin’s disappearance.
Although he wished Shen Yin did not have anything to do with this person, Lian Jing had found Shen Yin the last time she went missing. He could only hope that Lian Jing still had a way to locate Shen Yin.
As long as she was safe.
Meng Heng quietly clenched his fists and rushed into the building to search carefully.
At the same time, in a dark corner of the building, a small figure was holding his cell phone and calling Lian Jing anxiously. However, he could not get through him.
After school, Shen Nian realized that Shen Yin had not come to pick him up. He felt that it was strange, so he called Shen Yin. However, no matter how he called, no one picked up.
He quickly tracked her location and followed the signal all the way here. Seeing that the signal did not move again, he called Lian Jing again and again.
However, for some reason, his usually reliable father did not pick up the phone today.
Could it be that he really had another woman overseas as his mother had said?
Shen Nian suppressed his anger and quietly sneaked into the building alone. He could save his mother by himself! He did not need to rely on that fickle father who made his mother sad!
Investors had withdrawn their funding of this building before it was completed. No one had taken over and it had been completely abandoned.
Shen Yin had been blindfolded and brought here. When she opened her eyes again, all she could see was infinite darkness.
She was going to pick Shen Nian up from school, but along the way, someone had bumped into her shoulder. By the time she reacted, her cell phone had already been stolen.
Only then did she realize that the person who had bumped into her had taken the opportunity to steal her phone. She hurriedly chased after the vanishing figure. But when she ran into an alley, she found four burly men in black suits and sunglasses.
She knew that she had been tricked, but she was no match for them. In the end, they grabbed her and pushed her into a car that was parked by the roadside. They blindfolded her and brought to this deserted place.
After they pulled out the rag in her mouth, Shen Yin could finally speak. She saw that she was in an office, and the four burly men standing in front of her were rubbing their hands and smiling at her lecherously.
“Who are you?” She forced herself to calm down. She narrowed her eyes and carefully sized up her surroundings, trying her best to find a clue that could allow her to escape.
The strange thing was that there was not even a window in the office. The furnishings had a moldy smell, as if they had been in the dark and damp for too long.
In a flash, she quickly thought of the secret room in the previous case and was inwardly shocked.
If this gang was behind the previous case and had escaped arrest, there was almost no hope for her survival.
“You don’t need to know who we are. You only need to know that someone betrayed you to us.” The leader had a scar on his face. He took off his sunglasses with a sly smile, revealing a completely unfamiliar face.
Shen Yin frowned and tried to calm her racing heart. She asked calmly, “You can tell me who betrayed me. I’m not worth much. Maybe that person deliberately lied to you.”
The few of them looked at each other. They thought that Shen Yin would panic and beg for mercy. They did not expect her to be so calm. They hesitated.
The scar-faced man saw that Shen Yin seemed to be telling the truth. Moreover, when they kidnapped this woman, he could tell that her clothes were not expensive. She really did not look very rich. He frowned and said, “Do you know Shen Luo?”
So it was her…
Shen Yin had an idea. As long as they were not vicious drug dealers, her life was not in danger for now.
She raised her eyes and met the men’s increasingly puzzled gazes. “I know her,” she said calmly. “Where is she?”
The scar-faced man waved his hand behind him. Immediately, someone opened the door of the next room, revealing a woman who had been gagged and tied to a chair. She was sobbing uncontrollably.
Shen Yin frowned slightly. She looked at Shen Luo, who was also tied up, and quickly tried to clear her mind.
It seemed that Shen Luo had been kidnapped, but she could not fork out the ransom, so she had betrayed Shen Yin in hopes that Lian Jing would ransom both of them.
However, she suddenly had a strange feeling. Did such obedient kidnappers really exist?
