Jian Dan and Qin Rou were softened by Hillary’s tears.

"Hillary, it’s okay, we are here with you," Jian Dan said, lifting a hand to comfortingly pat Hillary’s head.

Hillary lay like that in Jian Dan’s arms, not knowing how long she cried, until there were no more tears left in her eyes.
