Gu Yang hadn’t expected to run into the Feng family, but it didn’t faze her. After all, there was nothing shameful about visiting her little blood bank’s parents’ graves. She remained calm.

“As you can see, we’re here for tomb-sweeping,” she replied.

Feng Xiaoxiao knew they were there to pay respects to the Feng family’s graves, but she couldn’t understand why Gu Yang was involved.

“Why did you think of paying respects to our grandparents?” Feng Xiaoxiao asked, her tone suspicious.

Feng Jue responded coolly, “My girlfriend came with me.”

Feng Xiaoxiao shot Feng Jue a disdainful look. She knew this was Gu Yang’s boyfriend, and while she had to admit his looks were exceptional, she dismissed him as just another pretty face, a gigolo reliant on someone else.

But to her surprise, her father, Feng Xuan, suddenly asked, “What’s your name?”

Feng Jue’s cold gaze met Feng Xuan’s as he responded with a faint smile, “Feng Jue.”

The day was rainy and overcast, with mist clinging to the cemetery. In the somber atmosphere, Feng Xuan locked eyes with the young man in white, and for a moment, it felt as if the blood in his veins had frozen.

Before Feng Xuan could ask which “Feng Jue” he was, he realized that the two of them had vanished from sight.

Panic suddenly surged in Feng Xuan’s heart. He grabbed Feng Xiaoxiao and asked urgently, “Xiaoxiao, where are they?”

Feng Xiaoxiao, who had been lost in thought while staring at the tombstone, snapped back to reality. Something flickered in her mind, but she couldn’t quite grasp it.

She looked at Feng Xuan, confused. “Dad, what people?”

Feng Xuan’s panic deepened, and his voice grew more agitated as he pointed to where Gu Yang and Feng Jue had been standing. “Right here! There were people just now—he said his name was Feng Jue! You spoke to him, didn’t you?”

Feng Xiaoxiao frowned slightly. “Dad, do you need to see a doctor? Are you hallucinating?

Hao and I were just placing flowers for Grandpa and Grandma.”

“Exactly,” Feng Hao chimed in. “This is our Feng family’s cemetery. Who else would be here?”

Feng Xuan glanced at the other family members trailing behind him, but they all wore the same puzzled expressions as Feng Xiaoxiao and her brother.

“There was no one else.”

“Family Head, are you sure you weren’t seeing things?”

Suddenly, Feng Hao’s gaze followed the direction his father had pointed, and he hurried over, startled. He pointed to the name on the tombstone and asked, “Dad, the Feng Jue you mentioned just now—was he our little uncle Feng Jue who died young?”

Feng Xuan turned slowly, his eyes locking onto the name “Feng Jue” engraved on the tombstone. His mind was overwhelmed by the memory of the young man in white, his dark eyes surrounded by mist, who had just been standing there moments ago.

The fear in Feng Xuan’s heart grew overwhelming, and he suddenly fainted in front of the tomb.

“Family Head!”

“Dad… Dad, what’s wrong?”

“Sis, call an ambulance! We need to carry Dad down the mountain!”

Baling Mountain was lush and green, with the spring rain softly falling and clouds hanging low. As Gu Yang and Feng Jue descended the mountain path, they heard the distant sound of an ambulance. They soon saw the Feng family members helping Feng Xuan into the vehicle.

People nearby whispered among themselves.

“Isn’t that the head of the Feng family? Why did he faint while visiting the tomb?”

“Fainting in a cemetery? Tsk tsk, did he see a ghost?”

Feng Jue glanced at the ambulance and the Feng family’s car, clicking his tongue. “He really can’t handle a scare, can he?”

Gu Yang smiled, “With a guilty conscience like his, of course he can’t.”

Feng Jue looked down at the girl beside him, the coldness in his eyes melting away, replaced by a warm, spring-like smile. “Sister, were you helping me vent my anger just now?”

Gu Yang nodded, “Mm, just collecting a little interest for you.”

A slight smile curled at the corners of Feng Jue’s lips. The gloominess in his expression faded, and he seemed to brighten, radiant and at ease.

Sister was so good.
