Reborn in the Eighties as a Housewife with a Space

Chapter 826 - Chapter 826: Chapter 820: Clueless_1

Chapter 826: Chapter 820: Clueless_1

Chu Molin and Qin Xue exchanged glances, Qin Xue thinking that things must be serious now. If the doctors are this concerned, the police must be as well.

“Hmm, this person is rather lucky to have received immediate medical treatment this severe wound. He might stand a chance. We need to head back to the hospital quickly. I wonder who treated his wounds before we arrived.” The doctor expressed his shock after examining the patient. Judging by the amount of blood on the ground, the injuries had been severe. But now, the bleeding had been stopped, giving him a slim chance at survival.

A sigh of relief escaped Qin Xue and Chu Molin as they heard the doctor’s words. As long as there was hope, all their efforts at saving this man would not have been in vain.

Watching the doctors leave, Qin Xue lost her enthusiasm for their outing. It was time to return home.

“Chu Molin, let’s go home. I don’t want to stay here anymore,” Qin Xue said.

“Xue’er, you go ahead. I’ll stick around to figure out what’s going on,” Chu Molin stated, noting that his wife wasn’t in the mood for leisure anymore. This would allow him to investigate the situation at ease.

He was well aware that as a soldier, it was not his nature to act this way. But with his wife and their two children, along with Xue Ling, being at a place where something clearly had transpired, he couldn’t be at peace. It was a concern he had never fretted over before.

“Okay, just be careful and stay safe,” Qin Xue acknowledged, aware that he would not be at peace until he had more information. She chose not to stop him, but rather accepted his choice immediately.

“Alright, I’ll come home once I’ve seen enough. Meanwhile, don’t wander off after getting back home. Stay put.” Chu Molin was unsure whether his wife’s heroic act had been noticed by potential criminals. It was best not to take chances.

“Understood.” Qin Xue was already mindful of the same worries as Molin. To ease his worries, she vowed not to venture out.

Chu Molin glanced briefly at Qin Xue, their two children, and Xue Ling, before disappearing into the crowd.

“Master, should we head back now?” Xue Ling asked Qin Xue.

“Let’s go back, I’m not in the mood for anything else. I promised Chu Molin that we’ll head back, can’t go back on my word now. Once home, let’s prepare some more of that medicine you gave me. That injured man only had a glimmer of hope because of your medicine,” Qin Xue pondered. She had anticipated that the doctors might declare the man beyond help, but they saw otherwise. The only plausible reason she could think of was the cure from Xue Ling.

Xue Ling contemplated upon hearing this. It had indeed been the medicine. Didn’t Qin Xue know how much time, effort, and herbs went into making that small vial?

“Alright, let’s prepare the medicine once we get home. While I do that, you can prepare a meal for me,” Xue Ling dictated, the tiresome procedure of medicine preparation always left it in need of food.

“Sounds good. But can you teach me how to make the medicine?” Qin Xue was more interested in the medication. She was an army doctor in the making. If she learned the recipe, she could save many more lives in the future.

“You can’t do it yet. Stay focused on your medical books for now. Once you master the sixth volume, I’ll teach you,” Xue Ling reasoned. Qin Xue was always too eager. Did she think the medicine was simple to make? Could it explain why she had spent days and nights on it?

“It’s still quite a while until I reach the sixth volume. Is it really that hard to prepare the medicine?” Qin Xue asked as they walked back home.

“Yes, because the procedure is highly intricate. The main focus is on mastering pathology and diagnostic theories from your medical book. Once you’ve grasped these, I’ll have an easier time teaching you,” Xue Ling explained.

“But I know that already, don’t I?” Qin Xue was already a doctor, mastering these basics was a given.

“Naive. If what you’ve learned so far counted, would you have spent so long just to get to the third volume?” Xue Ling rebuked Qin Xue, she was completely clueless.
