Lingering Doting Marriage: Big Boss, Little Sweet Heart

Chapter 1972 - 1982: Showing Special Respect

Chapter 1972: Chapter 1982: Showing Special Respect

Bobby would think of using his toes to figure it out and immediately try to go online to find out what’s happening.

Enna Clark took a deep breath, calming herself down, as she drove the car to a nearby hotel.

Baron Lawrence’s condition was too bad, yet even in this disheveled state, he still shone excessively!

However, Enna’s heart still felt as if it was being squeezed, an indescribable melancholy and discomfort.

She quickly got a room at the front desk, took the room card, returned to the entrance, and said to the particularly cooperative man, "Baron Lawrence, come upstairs with me."

Baron was unusually compliant today and actually followed her into the elevator.

Since it was only to take a shower and change clothes, Enna booked a standard room. It was on the 6th floor, and the room number seemed particularly good, 606.

She took the room card, found room 606, and swiped it to open the door.

This hotel was a standard Four-star Hotel; although it wasn’t as luxurious as a Five-star Hotel, the decor and rooms were quite similar in many ways.

Even though Enna only booked a standard room, it still looked pretty good.

The bathroom was quite spacious as well.

The only downside was that its bathroom used transparent glass. Although she knew this glass wasn’t see-through, it still felt insecure to shower there, as if people outside could see in.

Enna placed the room card on the table, picked up the instant coffee provided in the room, and said, "Baron, go take a shower first. I’ll call and have them send up some clothes."

As she spoke, she turned on the water heater to brew him some coffee.

She had imagined things would go well.

But the usually cooperative person suddenly didn’t cooperate; instead of going into the bathroom to shower, he walked straight up to her, leaned in, and asked, "Are you mad?"

Their height difference was natural; compared to him, Enna seemed much smaller, her head just reaching his chest. With him so close, she had nowhere to retreat, almost pressed against the water dispenser, surrounded by his scent.

The smell of eggs mixed with tomatoes intertwined with mint and sandalwood.

Unexpectedly, it wasn’t unpleasant.

Just a bit odd mixed together.

Enna placed her hand on his chest, turned her head away, avoiding his eyes, and mumbled in denial, "No, I’m not."

Baron grabbed her wrist, persistent, "If you’re not, then why have you been ignoring me since just now?"

Enna took a deep breath, resolutely denying, "I haven’t."

"You’re not ignoring me; you’re just not talking to me, right?" Baron squinted his sharp eyes.

Enna could be sharp-tongued with female reporters, but when facing him, she couldn’t find words to argue.

She opened her mouth, ultimately succumbing to his questioning, looked up, and admitted. Her eyes were full of unmasked anger as she said, "Why didn’t you let go of me just now?"

Baron thought she was mad about something else the whole way, only to find out it was this. He rolled his eyes at her nonchalantly and said, "Let go of you so you could get hit with eggs in front of me? If I really let my woman get hit with eggs right in front of me, I might as well let you shoot me instead!"
