Chapter 1983: Chapter 1993: Eating Barbecue Together
Hearing this, he said uncomfortably, "There’s no coffee at home. I learned to brew coffee with Uncle Harris this afternoon, and used up all the coffee beans."
He had been waiting for Enna Clark all afternoon but she never came back. Plus, Baron Lawrence left him halfway. Bored at home alone, he kept pondering how to get back at them.
After thinking it over, he remembered that Baron Lawrence likes to drink coffee, so he deliberately asked Scott Harris to teach him to brew coffee, then wasted all the coffee beans in the house.
He just wanted to see the look on the Dubious Man’s face when he couldn’t find any coffee to drink. Who would have thought the Dubious Man would suggest a barbecue and remember that he likes beef? Now, as he’s saying this, he doesn’t even have the satisfaction of pulling off a prank. Instead, he feels like he did something wrong.
Luckily, Baron Lawrence just glanced at him and didn’t say anything, instead instructing Scott Harris, who was on the phone, "Have them prepare some coffee beans and send them over."
"Yes, Lord."
Scott Harris stepped aside to make a call.
Enna Clark headed towards the kitchen, "We’re going to barbecue on the rooftop, huh? I don’t know if we have any tongs left at home, and if not, we’ll need to buy some downstairs."
Because Baron Lawrence wants seafood, grilling scallops requires tongs to place them on the grill.
She wasn’t sure if there were any left in the kitchen.
"No need to worry about that, they’ll bring everything themselves."
As soon as Baron Lawrence finished speaking, Scott Harris, who had just finished his call, added, "Ms. Clark, you don’t need to prepare anything. This is a Michelin delivery service; they will send someone to take care of everything. You just need to relax here with the Young Master. Once they arrive, they’ll handle it."
"Since when did Michelin start grilling?" She remembered that Michelin was known for French cuisine.
Scott Harris glanced helplessly at the aloof and dignified man on the sofa and wisely kept his mouth shut.
Of course, Michelin hadn’t switched to barbecuing; it was because Lord wanted it, so they had to do it. Besides, there are plenty of grilled seafood recipes, so barbecuing isn’t a big deal for Michelin chefs.
...
Michelin’s speed was impressive. Enna Clark thought it would take a long time for them to prepare and come over.
Unexpectedly, in less than twenty minutes, Michelin’s people arrived.
Each unit in this neighborhood comes with an ultra-large rooftop garden. Enna Clark hadn’t eaten in the garden yet. The Michelin chef and assistant worked quickly, just as Scott Harris had said. They didn’t need her help at all; in no time, they set up the dining table, prepared the grill, placed the charcoal inside, and got the barbecues ready.
The aroma of barbecue wafted through the living room.
Enna Clark’s stomach growled embarrassingly, and Bobby, beside her, also touched his belly.
Ten minutes later, Scott Harris came in and respectfully said, "Lord, Ms. Clark, Young Master, the first serving of beef is ready and can be served."
"I’m going to wash my hands." Bobby darted off.
Enna Clark was genuinely hungry, especially since it was barbecue she loved. She eagerly sat down, picked up her chopsticks, and tried it.
"How is it?" Baron Lawrence sat a little behind her, pulling out a chair and asking.
The Michelin chef looked at her nervously, afraid she’d say it wasn’t good.
With everyone’s eyes on her, Enna Clark curled her eyes in a smile and said, "Delicious!"
